Práce se zaměřuje na socioekonomické aspekty rozvoje předměstských oblastí, zvláště pak nově vzniklých satelitů v okruhu větších měst. Tento jev (suburbanizace) bude zkoumán nejen z hlediska jeho předpokladů a motivů na straně jeho účastníků, ale zejména z hlediska jeho dopadů. Vzhledem k tomu, že některé z dopadů jsou obecně vnímány negativně, nabízí se otázka, zda by nebylo vhodné do celého procesu více či méně zasahovat. Hlavním cílem této práce je odpověď na otázku, do jaké míry je možné či vhodné ponechat procesu suburbanizace volný průběh a do jaké míry je naopak zasahování do tohoto procesu nutné. Práce bude vycházet jak ze studií a průzkumů, které se zabývají soudobou situací v České republice, tak i z poznatků o situaci ve státech, kde suburbanizace došla dále. My bachelor thesis focuses on the socio-economical aspects of the development of suburban areas, especially of the recently developed suburbs around bigger cities. This phenomenon (suburbanization) will be investigated in terms of assumtions and incentives on its participants side, but primarily in terms of its impacts. According to the fact that some of the impacts are generally considered as negative, the question is whether it is appropriate to intervene in this process. The aim of this thesis is to find an answer to the question: Is it possible or even appropriate to allow the process of suburbanization to develop without intereventions and if not, how much interevention needed? This thesis will be based on both the studies and surveys from the Czech Republic and observations from the United States where suburbanization has progressed more rapidly.
