Project Draft Business Intelligence
Šídlo, Petr ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Novotný, Jan (referee)
This dissertation titled Designing Project Business Intelligence focuses on data warehouse in a medium-sized company. The theoretical portion of the thesis describes the topic of data warehouse and dimensional modeling. In the first theoretical chapter, I compare and contrast two approaches to datawarehouse building - Bill Inmon's and Ralph Kimball's. Then, basic terminology used in the field, principles of dimensional modeling and various approaches of database use will be described. Furthermore, the thesis illustrates the role of the Mondrian system as a mediator between the relational database and the OLAP server. Possible uses of the MDX language in working with multidimensional databases are outlined. The theoretical portion of the thesis ends with a description of the applicational interface XMLA, which can be used for facilitation communication between applications and the OLAP server. The practice-oriented portion of the thesis includes a complete design of the Business Intelligence project. The project is divided into the following parts: Feasibility Study, Project Planing, Business Requirements, Design and Development, and Deployment and Maintenance. The entire project operates exclusively on Open Source Software. Consequently, the project shows that small and medium-sized companies can afford to run a fully operating Business Intelligence system.

Zvláštnosti obchodního jednání a protokolu pevninské Číny a Hong Kongu
Porovnává pevninskou část Číny a Hong Kong. Bakalářskou práci jsem rozdělila na dva velké úseky. První část pojednává o kultuře a kulturních atributech současné Číny. Druhá část popisuje obchodní zvyklosti a jednání čínských partnerů. První část v sobě zahrnuje obecné kapitoly týkající se geografických a demografických podmínek, sociálního systému. Popisuje náboženství, jazyk, písmo, historické souvislosti a obecné kulturní atributy, které bezprostředně souvisí s chováním Číňanů v obchodním styku. Tato část tvoří asi jednu třetinu bakalářské práce. Druhá část práce je obsáhlejší a je rozdělena na dvě části: na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část v sobě zahrnuje faktory ovlivňující vyjednávání, taktiky jednání a jeho jednotlivé fáze, úskalí a nepsaná pravidla obchodu, obchodní protokol a porovnání obchodních zvyklostí pevninské Číny a Hong Kongu.

The thesis is divided into four chapters, where the first three chapters are dedicated to the analysis of asylum policies of Germany, Great Britain and France; the last chapter then concentrates on the comparison of the studied aspects.

Searching collisions in hash functions
Joščák, Daniel
The main interest of this paper is finding collisions in the hash function MD5. We present our new algorithm based on Wangs et al. methods of finding collisions in MD5. While writing this thesis Stevens and Klima published their fast algorithms for finding collisions. We give a description of these algorithms and the calculation of computianal complexity of all three algorithms.

Identification, expression, and characterization of Phlebotomus orientalis salivary antigens
Šíma, Michal
Sand flies (Diptera: Psychodidae) are vectors of Leishmania spp. (Kinetoplastida: Trypanosomatidae), medically and veterinary important parasites causing leishmaniasis. These protozoans are inoculated into the host during blood-feeding together with the vector saliva. Salivary components are crucial for sand fly female blood-sucking but also play a major role in the initial stage of parasite development. It was demonstrated that this rich mixture of proteins performs different functions after its injection into the host like hydrolyzing ATP and ADP, binding biogenic amines, and others which inhibits the haemostatic reaction and modulate the immune system thus enables the successful feeding. So far, cDNA salivary transcriptomes have been constructed for twelve sand fly species and we added another one - Phlebotomus orientalis, the main vector of Leishmania donovani, a causative agent of human visceral leishmaniasis in East African countries. We described members of thirteen protein families which corresponded with previously published salivary cDNA libraries of other sand fly species and showed the main salivary antigens using sera of experimentally bitten mice and naturally exposed dogs. Specific IgG antibody response is induced against sand fly salivary proteins in repeatedly bitten hosts....

Petrová, Zuzana ; Lipka, David (advisor) ; Rybáček, Václav (referee)
This thesis refers to the Evidence Based Policy and Regulatory Impact Analysis. Both of them are important instruments for creating the economic policy. Evidence based policy is based on the collection and evaluation of the relevant data concerning the realization of either government or non-government programs. There are different methods for evaluating. Methods for the evaluation and the process of the evaluation are contained in the first part of this thesis. The second part is related to Regulatory Impact Analysis, which is linked to the production of the better regulation. Evolution of the RIA in the European union and Great Britain, analysis of the quality of the RIA and assessment of the implementation of the RIA into the legislative procedure is the main body of this thesis. The third part is dedicated to the RIA in the Czech Republic. The integration of the RIA into the legislation and the rules for the assessment of the impacts caused by the regulation are described in this part. This part also includes several RIAs analysis. The weak side of the RIA is described as well in the last part.

Evaluation of effectiveness of the EU's regional policy
Luhan, Jiří ; Schneider, Ondřej (advisor) ; Dědek, Oldřich (referee)
Regional Policy of the European Union should lead to decrease deepening of regional disparities, which is present due to ongoing integration and enlargement of the EU. A lot of regional disparities is caused by so called agglomeration forces, which lead to concentration of economic activity in strong centers (agglomeration poles), and which are described by New Economic Geography. This thesis deals with the question if today's Regional Policy of the EU leads to reduce regional disparities. By analyzing regional data and existing empirical studies I point out some failures of this policy and recommend practical steps for the future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
