Doula guide of pregnancy, parturition and puerperium
SLÍPKOVÁ, Alena
The Bachelor's Thesis deals with the issue of doulas as companions to women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. The Thesis is structured into a theoretical part and a research part. The theoretical part defines pregnancy, its origin and development. In addition, it describes the role of a midwife in prenatal counselling and the role of a doula as a woman's companion during pregnancy. It also provides the characteristics of childbirth and the midwife's care for a woman during labour, which is very important for women during such periods, as essential as cooperation between a doula and a woman in labour. We also define the postnatal period, describing the physiological changes in a woman's body during the postpartum period. These changes are involutional and mental. A crucial section of the theoretical part is a chapter dealing with midwives and doulas, explaining some fundamental concepts and mentioning the competences of a midwife. Last but not least, it explains the term "doula" and the establishment of the Czech Association of Doulas. The goal of the Bachelor's Thesis is to determine the impact of a doula on the development of pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. Two research questions were asked: How does a doula influence a woman's pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal period? How do midwives perceive doulas as women's companions during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period? The research was based on a qualitative method and data were collected in semi-structured interviews. Women were asked 11 predetermined questions, divided into pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period, and 6 questions were given to midwives. The respondents could freely intervene during the interviews and answer on the basis of their own experience with doulas while midwives evaluated the contribution of doulas for their profession. The first research group consisted of five women after childbirth who had used the services of a doula. The other research group was composed of six midwives working in delivery rooms and in gynaecologists' offices. The interviews were conducted with women and midwives permanently residing in the Czech Republic subject to their prior oral and written consent. In the written Request for Consent with Cooperation, the women were informed of the purpose and implementation of data collection, with an emphasis on their anonymity. All of the respondents signed this consent form. The interviews with the women and midwives were conducted in pleasant places chosen by the respondents themselves in March and April 2015. They were recorded on an audio device and then transcribed, analysed and evaluated by means of text highlighting to determine individual matches in the respondents' opinions and experience.

BENEŠOVÁ, Monika
The first part of the present dissertation shows mechanisms of keeping of body temperature in an optimum range as well as it divides and evaluates range of body temperature. My dissertation also deals with the ways of measurement of body temperature, methods of measurement and tools which are neccessary for measurement of body temperature. Another part presents characteristics of aneshtesia its division, ways of application and tools which are used for total anesthesia. It is also described an observation of body temperature during total anesthesia, negative consequences of hypothermia, regulations of body temperature during total anesthesia and prevention and treatment of hypothermia. There are descriptions of targets and hypothesis in the second part. There were made five hypothesis. The third part shows methods of collecting data itself. They are results of stucture observation of changes of body temperature of patiens in total anesthesia during surgery. The fourth part are charts and graphs showing results of measurements of body temperature of our patients in total anesthesia as well as results of the questionnaires based on answers from asked nurses. There are particular hypothesis and their results in discussion part. Hypothesis H1 was proved. Hyphothesis H2 is not possible to be disproved. Hyphothesis H3 was not proved. Hyphothesis H4 was proved and hyphotesis H5 was proved. We can deduce from the results that active use of tools for keeping body temperature in a physiological range can prevent decrease of body temperature. It is clear from the questionnaires that nurses are aware of complications connected to hypothermia. They actively use tools for keeping body temperature in physiological range. There is a summary in the conclusion of the dessertation whether all estimated targets were accomplished. As a result of the dissertation we can assume that using of tools for keeping body temperature of total anasthesia patients should be a standard. There should be also a standard to measure body temperature during an operation in total anasthesia itself.

So as to fulfil the first one ``Confrontation of the Competence and Possible Measures of the Governmental and Nongovernmental Institutions Used in Protection of Those Endangered by the Domestic Violence{\crq}q, we chose the quality research and the technique of semi-structured interview. The research sample was made up by three representatives of governmental and three of nongovernmental institutions; eight questions were set in all. The last, eighth question gave an answer to the third aim {--} whether all the specialists had been trained sufficiently. So as to reach the second aim, we also chose the quality research and the technique of telephone interview. In this case, the research sample was made up by six victims. The Appendix contains the list of the information centres; there are fifteen of them within the Czech Republic at present. Moreover, the Appendix includes the Safety Plan and the statistics of the White Circle of Safety for the year 2009. On the basis of the research we set the hypotheses which are described in the chapter of Discussion. The Thesis aims were fulfilled. The Thesis might be a source both for the general public and those endangered by the domestic violence. I believe that there are a lot of inspiring and important information for the specialists in this problem.
