The bachelor thesis Clothes as a means of communication in the children's collective focuses on non-verbal communication mediated through clothes worn by students of the third year of a private grammar school in Prague. Theoretical section of the thesis works with the findings of social psychology about non-verbal communication and clothes as one of the means of non-verbal communication, about presentation of the self, the first impression and assessment of others, as phenomena which penetrate social contact and our judgement of others. The theoretical section also discusses conventions within small groups, as these are where the students' communication takes place. Practical section is comprised of an analyses of data collected in a research conducted during observations of and interviews with the students. The themes researched include characters of the students expressed through clothes, what and who influences the choice of clothes they wear, what can be expressed by clothes, importance they assign to look and whether gender stereotypes have any influence on their clothing. I believe that look is a neglected topic of non-verbal communication. Clothes can be used to express our inner self, our personality, but at the same time, clothes also provide shelter, a disguise we can put on to play a certain...

Honč, Petr ; Petráček, Tomáš (referee) ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor)
This research is primarily focused on the non-Catholic population in the domain of Trebic in the 17th and 18th century. A brief summary of the previous religious development in the above mentioned domain during the Reformation period and Thirty Years' War enables us to prove, that falling apart of the confessional identity had already been registered before the beginning of systematic recatholisation. Until then, the domain of Trebic had been a favourite refuge for the refugees from Bohemia. The description of the process of recatholisation in the town of Třebíč and villages of its domain is one of the key topics of this research. Another focus of this work is to demonstrate the contribution of the parish network in the frame of the Třebic's deanship, which was a key success factor for the recatholisation process. A second main topic, and a core issue of this work, is the situation in the domain after the October 1781, when Joseph II. put into effect the Edict of Tolerance. The emphasis is put on the adhesion of non-Catholics to one of the Protestant confessions tolerated by the State and on the challenges emerged as a follow-up. A rupture between Protestants regarding the choice between the Augsburg and Helvetic Confession almost ended hopes for their own congregation.

Mikhail Bulgakov on the crossroad of prose and theatre way: novel Belaya gvardia and play Dni Turbinykh
Zgoda, Yaroslavna ; Hlaváček, Antonín (advisor) ; Hříbková, Radka (referee)
Mikhail Bulgakov has won the most acknowledgeable position in the world literature of the twentieth century among the Russian writers. His recognition is marked by the steep rise of interest in his works. Nevertheless the difficulty arises in the interpretation and understanding of many diverse associations and signs, which were determined to draw the reader's attention and to calm the anger of the official censorship. His novel "The White Guard" and the play "The days of the Turbins" put a particular stress on the situation of the White movement in 1918 in Kiev. It is all shown through the difficult decisions and choices of the Turbin family, which try to save the old values. The whole revolutionary atmosphere reflects the uncertainties of the historical period. There are many allusions, which describe the burning issues of the time. The meeting of the three coloured forces - white, yellow-blue and red - led to the tragic ending on the crossroads of the historical maze. Bulgakov masterly described everything he witnessed in prose and then brought it to the stage. The process was long and his creativity was marked by the censorship intrusion, which underlines the importance of the topic.
