1 RESUME The title of the thesis: The possibilities for Volleyball Training of Children aged 6-10 Place: Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Department of Sport Games Author: Magdaléna Choutková Branch of Study: Physical Education and Sports Thesis Supervisor: doc. PhDr. Jaroslav Buchtel, CSc. Year of Thesis Defence: 2012 Abstract: The master's thesis deals with the issue of the preparation of young volleyball players who are not able to master either basic ways of playing or individual game activities in volleyball. The children are between six and ten years old which corresponds with the lower primary education. Volleyball is a kind of sport where the basic individual game activities are considered very difficult. For playing volleyball well, children must firstly reach a certain degree of physical abilities. If we start too early, then we achieve an early specialization, which has mostly a negative impact on young sportsmen. The aim of the thesis is to choose and evaluate some ways of preparation of young volleyball players between six and ten. At the same time I am going to focus on the approaches, which are specific for the real volleyball game. I do not intend to list activities, which only generally help to develop the kinesthetic abilities, but I want to deal with activities,...

Vyhodnocení reprodukce u populace masného plemene Aberdeen Angus
JUNGWIRTH, Václav
Aberdeen Angus is the most prevalent beef breed on the World and the second in the Czech Republic. The features of the breed are early maturity, very strong mothering instinct, resilience and flexibility. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the fertility indicators and growth ability of calves depending on the age of heifers' first calving. The biggest group of heifers of period from 2003 to 2015 were calved up to the age of 28 months, the total number of 53 % (3 375 pcs). Followed by group over 36 month in which 24 % heifers (1 542 pcs) calved. The least common group were heifers who firstly calved at the age of 28 36 months, total of 23 % (1 450 pcs). The lowest longevity was indicated at the age of 6.24 years in the group up to 28 months. The longest longevity was reached by cows from group over 36 months with the average age of 7.7 years. The best results of calving interval were represented by cows calved up to the age of 28 months. The difference between groups in case of live weight and a height at cross was proved as statistically highly significant (p < 0.001). The avere number of calves was highest within the group firstly calved up to 28 months, 3.92 pcs. The lowest number of calves 3.39 was registered within the group over 36 months. The average count of stillborn calves was 4.59 %, for the heifers it was 7.28 %. The highest number of stillborn calves was within the group of 28 months represented by 5.10 % and for heifers 8.29 %. Statistically highly significant difference was found in the birth weight of calves. The highest difference within the weight of 365 days old calves was 42.1 kg between the group up to 28 months and the group over 36 months in behalf of the group up to 28 months.

The Danish System of Out-Of Home Care
Otřísalová, Kristina ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Koláčková, Jana (referee)
This dissertation tries to deal with differences and similarities in Danish and Czech system of out of- home care. It describes the system of out-of-home care in Denmark and compares some particular topics with the system of out-of-home care in Czech Republic. This comparison should serve as an inspiration for the Czech system, which in many ways needs to be improved. It may be a bit surprising, that the share of children, who are brought up in different kinds of out of home care is about the same in Denmark and in Czech Republic. Where these two systems differ is the balance between different types of out-of-home care. The Czech system still deals with a big amount of children in different types of residential care rather than in foster care or adoption. The other big difference is in the matter of how the systems are organised in general. Danish system seems to give bigger emphasis on the personal responsibility and ability to make a right decision about the future of a child or a young person, which is then not needed to be examine by another authority. Strong emphasis is put on the responsible work of each local authority. Danish system is also more systematical than the Czech one in the matter of social work with family of the placed child and systematic work with the child's case in general....

Bacterial components in experimental intestinal inflammation prevention and therapy
Kverka, Miloslav ; Tlaskalová - Hogenová, Helena (advisor) ; Šedivá, Anna (referee) ; Stříž, Ilja (referee)
Although strong protective immune response is essential for preventing invasion by pathogens, equivalent responses against antigens originating from commensal bacteria can lead to chronic inflammatory diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Manipulating the mucosal immune responses with microbial antigens might be an excellent tool to IBD therapy or prevention. Our aim was to gain some insight into the regulation of the intestinal inflammation and to isolate bacterial immunomodulatory components that could be used in intestinal inflammation therapy and prevention. One particular mechanism of how healthy colon tissue regulates the inflammation during acute experimental colitis is through modulation of bioavailability of glucocorticoids (GCs) in gut mucosa. Here, we show that intestinal inflammation changes the local GC metabolism, which ultimately leads to decrease in inflammatory readiness of cells in the gut mucosa and in mesenteric lymph nodes. This pre-receptor regulation of GC function could represent an important homeostatic function of the gut mucosa. The actual triggers of intestinal inflammation in IBD seem to be either microbial dysbiosis or microbes with special "pathogenic" abilities, which both could be rectified by feeding with probiotics. Here, we report that oral feeding with live...

Poláková, Soňa ; Veselá, Jitka (advisor) ; Krabec, Tomáš (referee) ; Onder, Štěpán (referee)
Finding significant relation between stock markets (including omnipresent volatility) and real economy of the US, Germany, Great Britain and Japan is the main aim of this thessis. If not found it is also the final conclusion. By means of time series analysis using artificial neural networks from the beginning of 2000 till the November of 2014 was proved that the strong single -- way relation between prime stock indices and GDP of chosen economies does exist. Highest quality of prediction was proved on the American and British economy. S&P 500, FTSE and VIX indicator made a precise prediction of future economic progress in the US and Great Britain for six to nine months ahead with 71% to 86% accuracy. The artificial neural networks proved an extraordinary ability to predict chosen financial time series regardless the actual position in a business cycle.

The influence of pH on iron chelation
Hrabalíková, Jitka ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (advisor) ; Hrdina, Radomír (referee)
v angličtině Iron is one of essential elements which are necessary for life of cells. Many important processes are connected with it and its insufficiency can lead to cell death. Iron excess can be dangerous, too; such situation can be triggered not only by acute intoxication, but it appears also chronically due to genetic abnormalities (hereditary hemochromatosis) or by frequent blood transfusions during treatment of thalassaemia, sideroblastic anemia or myelodysplastic syndrome. Iron chelators are used to cure these pathological states, but there have been currently analysed for the treatment of tumors or acute myocardial infarction as well. In pathogenesis of both of these disorders, iron and change of pH play significant roles. In this study, influence of pH on iron chelation abilities of various substances (deferoxamine, synthetic chelator SIH, flavonoids and synthetic coumarin 7,8-dihydroxy-4- methylcoumarin) was measured with the use of ferrozine as an indicator. The stability of complex chelator - iron in various pH was also tested. It was found that chelation activity of all tested substances and the stability of iron- chelator complex is increased with increasing pH. Strong chelators SIH and deferoxamine kept their effectiveness within pH from 7.5 to 5.5, whereas chelating activity of...

Logistic process optimization
Machová, Marie ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Věk, Jakub (referee)
Managing the process of a product's development prior to its release is the dominant theme of this graduation thesis. In today's modern turbulent world, businesses compete to be a strong force in the market arena. From start to finish it is necessary to keep the consumer's demands and wants as the driving force when managing the operation. Factors that are critical in the implementation of the operation are working with a manageable portfolio, forecasting unforeseen expenses, profit gains and losses. Purchasing the most recent and efficient software program or electronics to assist in the operation could be more effective but more expensive upfront. On the other hand, purchasing a complex program or electronics will be ineffective if the user is unable to comprehend its complete functions or abilities. Proper and thorough analysis is necessary in foreseeing all possible obstacles to a smooth operation. Presently, it is not uncommon for companies to implement new technology without previous analysis. The result is a rapidly growing demand for a product reliant on this technology to help produce or support it. As a result, they find themselves in a tight spot very soon. Resolving the issue consists of additional and extended analyses of changes and in the reimplementation of the technology, a process that can be slow and tap into an already tight budget. In conclusion, this dissertation surmises that documentation of and organized implementation of processes in a real manufacturing corporation is necessary to improve not only the quality of processes in support of reaching economic targets but also in assuring quality labour performances of all employees.
