New directions for waterproofing of underground transport

This diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of waterproofing of underground constructions using an LLDPE membrane hinged on anchors. In the future, this method will replace the commonly used waterproofing system in Scandinavia with extruded polyethylene foam. This method of tunnel construction and waterproofing is compared with the NRTM method, often used in Central Europe. The thesis describes the installation of a waterproofing system, especially materials, accessories, welding devices and auxiliary installation equipment. The main focus of the thesis is to verify the reliability of the individual types of welds and to assess the waterproofing system in terms of implementation and environmental demands.

Geodetic monitoring of the tubosider in Liberec under the ski slope F10

This thesis describes a geodetic monitoring of a deformed steel structure tubosider in Liberec. There have been made periodic measurements of displacements and deformations of the object since 2015. Various interventions have been made in order to ensure a stability of the tunnel, which are also evaluated in this thesis. The results are graphs that describes shifts of the highest points in the tunnel. These values are further used by structural engineers and architects to suggest a solution.

Railroad tunnel Praha-Beroun - as an example of underground structure in challenging karstic aresa

This paper discusses impressive project of the tunnel between Prague and Beroun. The length of the structure, spreading up to 25 km, leads to need of overcoming many risks, which may the tunnel encounter. The text is focused on specific issues typical for areas built by karstic rocks, which generally present one of the most dangerous environment for building architectural projects of any kind. It concentrates on description of Bohemian karst and karstic features, which are likely to appear in studied area. It strives for delimintion of risks and suggestion of proper investigtion and remedition methods, suituable for given project. A part of the paper is a brief introduction into main tunneling technology, applicable for tunneling construction and discussion of possibilities of particular tunneling method.

The Blanka tunnel, geological hazadrs and problems during boring

The Blanka tunnel has two boring sections: Brusnice tunnel and Královská obora tunnel. Both tunnels were boring in difficult geologycal conditions, but the geology conditions of these tunnels are not same. Also they had not the same hazards during boring. There was used a spectrum of different technical works with hazard reduction purpose and safety process of boring. There were three serious accidents, wnich everyone made a creater on the surface, but they have not the same causes. This text has a task to describe a geological survey before and during the boring of both tunnels. How other reasons affected the process of boring? How the tunnels were bored? What events preceded the everyone of three major failure? This text does not deal with economical things of boring and effects of specific personal influence on the process of boring. Analysis of embryotoxic effect of hydrocortisone using chick embryotoxicity screening test (CHEST).

Cleft lip is one of the most common human birth deffects. Its etiopathogenesis is multifactorial and many aspects of its occurrence remain unknown in the fields of both genetics and teratology. One of the set of known negative external factors causing cleft lip is chemical hydrocortisone. Its effect on cell proliferation is highly heterogeneous and depends on attributes of a specific cell population. In this work we studied the cleft beak origin after the hydrocortisone treatment on the basis of Chick Embryotoxicity Screening Test (CHEST). Our main aim was to detect cell cycle changes in the chick frontonasal process after hydrocortisone injection via flow cytometry analysis. Hydrocortisone caused S phase arrest within a minor subpopulation of highly granular cells with specific cell cycle. This sensitive subpopulation was localized in the areas of previously defined proliferative centers within the frontonasal process using immunohistochemistry of frozen sections. Quantitative analysis of cells in these areas revealed significant decrease of M phase portion in the hydrocortisone treated samples in comparison with the control samples. Numerical model of NATM tunnel in stiff clays

Disertační práce představuje aplikaci hypoplastického konstitučního modelu při realizaci NRTM tunelu v prostředí městské zástavby s cílem obdržet "class A" predikce chování zeminového masivu. Tunely Královo Pole tvoří hlavní konstrukci severní části Velkého městského okruhu v Brně. Tunely o šířce 14 m a výšce 12 m jsou raženy v prostředí tuhých brněnských jílů s výškou nadloží v rozmezí 6 až 21 metrů. Materiálové parametry hypoplastického modelu kalibrované na výsledky laboratorních experimentů byly optimalizovány využitím dat geotechnického monitoringu a následně použity při simulacích tunelu. Po průchodu ražby profilu tunelu zvoleným úsekem staničení došlo k vyhodnocení prediktivních schopností a vhodnosti konstitučního modelu. Druhým konstitučním modelem použitým při simulacích průzkumné štoly a plain strain analýze tunelu je Mohr - Coulombův model. Metoda redukce napětí využitá v procesu optimalizace parametrů byla vyhodnocena formou porovnání s 3D simulacemi. K vyhodnocení posloužily simulace třech skutečných podzemních konstrukcí s nízkým nadložím realizovaných v prostředí tuhých jílů. Gravity response of deformation zones around subsurface cavities

The main purpose of this diploma thesis was to determine whether the deformation zone, which arises above intact mining workings in soils, has a measurable gravity effect and influences the interpretation of gravity measurements. The railway tunnel in Březno u Chomutova has been chosen as a test site. We have progressed so that the geotechnical model of the geological environment above the tunnel was calculated first. The model was constructed on the base of two core wells, which were drilled near the tunnel especially for this purpose. The geotechnical model of deformation zone was converted into a density model and its gravity response was calculated. This model was compared with the gravity effect of the tunnel in rock environment without any deformation zone. The difference between effects of these two models gives the gravity response of the deformation zone. We found out that the gravity effect of the deformation zone is insignificant and does not affect the gravity interpretation in the environment of stiff tertiary clays, where the Březno tunnel is excavated. We compared the results of our modeling with the field gravimetric measurements results above the tunnel in Březno. This bachelor's thesis describes the electric power supply of a road tunnel and explains general rules and requirements which are necessary to ensure the power supply for tunnel construction. Another topic of this thesis is design of the technological equipment and the whole power supply system for 8 km long road tunnel.
