Problems of Children Crohn's disease
TENKLOVÁ, Monika
Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the entire gastrointestinal tract in all its layers. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the disease, its causes, symptoms, complications, treatment and psychological aspects. It also touches on the needs of children and communication with a chronically ill child. At first, this work set out to achieve two goals: mapping the provision of nursing care to children with Crohn's disease in hospitals and determining the impact of Crohn's disease on the everyday life of a child. A third goal, gathering respondents' views on the possibilities of community nurses in collective institutions, was encountered during the research and was added. The empirical part was carried out using qualitative research method using semi-structured interviews both with health professionals working at pediatric wards, as well as children with Crohn's disease and their parents.Survey results show that children with Crohn's disease come in contact with health workers at various departments of health facilities. The most common early symptoms of Crohn's disease in children included abdominal pain, diarrhea with blood or mucus and failure to thrive. The most common areas affected were the gastrointestinal tract, the small intestine, the colon in one case and the rectum in another. Some workers did not know which tests or treatments their hospital prescribes to the children. They report pain as the main nursing challenge, but this did not reflect in nursing practice. In all departments, except one, there was no material on Crohn's disease, which would have been helpful to the workers.Interviews with children and parents, as well as with health workers confirmed that the disease has a socio-cultural impact on the child and those around it. The results of this diploma thesis were presented at three conferences and will be published.

Monitoring of the contents of phosphorus and nitrogen in wastewater
Herka, Milan ; Repková, Martina (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This master´s thesis is focused on the occurrence of phosphorus and nitrogen in effluents and methods of their determination. In the theoretical part of the thesis describes methods for the determination of nitrogen and phosphorus in waste waters, their selection and optimization methods including mobile analytics. Experimental section is devoted to the abstraction of wastewater from selected wastewater treatment plants and their analysis methods including mobile analytics and comparing them with the presentation of their results. The conclusion is drawn evaluate the content of nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater influent and effluent from wastewater treatment plants and compared the variation of these values during the one-month study and compared with published data.

Pharmacological approach to the results of the estrogen and progesterone receptors in the breast tumours.
Bařinková, Vlasta ; Hochmann, Jiří (advisor) ; Bunček, Martin (referee)
In the part devoted to discussion of different authors about the importance of the progesterone receptor (PR) value we concentrated primarily to the works of foreign authors published in professional journals. We divided the opinions of this experts to such, which show that PR testing is needless and to the part about profitability of this testing. In the chapter about importance PR testing some authors critize, that some patients - negative in estrogen receptors (ER) (such of them that are simultaneously PRpositive) could be deprived in the possibility of hormonal therapy, because PR testing wouldn't be made. And in the addition, the other - (in this case) the less effective treatment would be given them preferentially. PR testing is important also for detection of the group of ER-positive tumors with PR negativity. At this group is the smaller possibility that the tumors would respond to the hormonal treatment (in contrast to ER+/PR+). In the part devoted to gene therapy we described first the information about learning from the textbooks. Futher we describe different modes of classification of the gene therapy of the breast cancer in the foreign literature. We modified their classification further according to our necessity to these subheads: (1) mutation compensation of differentiation genes,...

Mechanismy regulace aktivity vynašečů auxinu
Křeček, Pavel ; Zažímalová, Eva (advisor) ; Novotná, Zuzana (referee) ; Reinöhl, Vilém (referee)
The morphology of plant body is shaped by genetically coded developmental programme together with environmental factors. The influence of environmental factors on the morphology is much more important in plants that in other multicellular organisms. The developmental programme provides a general scheme that is modified by environmental signals. Phytohormone auxin is a regulator of plant morphogenesis and its distribution in the plant body is an important mechanism controling the growth and development of plants and coordinating the developmental programme with environmentally-induced changes. This thesis investigates factors important for transport of auxin from cells, second part is dedicated to bioinformatic analysis of the transporters from the PIN protein family. For investigation of signals involved in regulation of activity of auxin efflux transporters I have selected (based on published information) physiological signals influencing auxin transport. These signals were changed by treatment with chemicals and resulting changes in auxin transport were measured (on the cellular level) with the intention to discover signals that can rapidly (within minutes) change the activity of auxin efflux transporters. The signals, which satisfy these requirements were subjected to further investigation. He detailed...

Analysis of Blood Donation Phenomenon in the Czech Republic
Košťálová, Romana ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kandilaki, Daniela (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of blood donation and it has a total of fifteen parts. The first chapter describes theoretical knowledges of motivational factors, altruism and economic view on it. It is followed by informations about the history of blood donation and treatments with blood, anatomy of blood and blood groups. The section of blood donation provides general informations about conditions of donation, resulting benefits, risks for donor and recipient and commercial collection of plasma. The thesis focuses especially on the blood market in the Czech Republic in terms of legislation, supply of blood, its evaluation and ultimately safety of blood. At the end there are published results of the questionnaire survey. A practical example of awards water treatment water flow on forest land as opposed to possible damage to property resulting from floods
Bureš, Petr
Object and purpose of the published post titled "A practical example of awards water treatment water flow on forest land as opposed to possible damage to property resulting from floods," is to design and appreciation of nature nearby flood protection measures the water flow in extraregion community with subsequent comparison to figures of the investment costs of building potential damage to real property which resulted from the flood flow (flood wave) in the urban community. The article discusses the possibility of using extraregion, forest land in the valley cheese to increase the retention capacity of the landscape, water features enhance the forest, increasing supplies of underground water and its relevance for forest ecosystems, and consequently contribute to the strengthening of flood protection active urban communities located in the catchment area pet stream. Active approach in solving the problems published in the watershed can lead to significant reduction or minimized damage to real property during flood flows in the municipalities.

As a solution by the working the problem out the people involved analysis, analysis of the legal frame and relevant strategical documents analysis. The koncept System - stigmatization is, for the purpose of that thesis, understood as an origin and a development of the stigmatization - mechanism that originated in the system of psychiatrical treatment/care and psychiatric institutions. Understood in that way, the stigmatization can be characterized as complicated web of determinants having deep history - based roots. It is also related to development of the specific culture in a way. The rigorous thesis...
