The Book in the Electronic Age
Beranová, Petra ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor) ; Šafaříková, Radana (referee)
Diploma thesis The Book in the Electronic Age deals with print and electronic book. Theory of convergence has been described at the first theoretical part. According to historical evidence, convergence supposed, media be not ejected each other, but their content has just to be changed. Another mentioned theory is remediation. It consists in way which new medium releases. New medium determines itself by borrowing characters of old medium and this content is being transform in terms what the new one needs. The chapter pointing on a strong tradition and an influence of book is concerned in letter print like power instrument. The next part describes print and electronic environment and also includes their differences not only from the perspective of user. History and princip of hypertext is outlined and there has been mentioned hypertext's potential in e-books as well. The newest way of reading electronic books are mentioned there. The theme of failure of e-book is also involved. The question about future of book appears in whole thesis.

Palestinian Churches after 1967. Evolution in Church Politics and Theology
Šlajerová, Monika ; Noble, Timothy (advisor) ; Bugel, Walerian (referee) ; Kropáček, Luboš (referee)
Church-policy and theological evolution of Palestinian Churches in Jerusalem and in the West Bank is the main topic of a thesis entitled "Palestinian Churches after 1967. Evolution in Church Politics and Theology." Gradual process of politization and nationalization of Palestinian Churches is taken as a chief development leading towards ecumenically shared position denouncing Israeli occupation as unethical, statement commonly expressed by church representatives starting with the first Intifáda. Within context of growing national awareness, local Palestinian theology has emerged in the eighties trying to reflect upon the ongoing political conflict and its impact on churches. Similarly, Palestinian hermeneutics deals with political misuse of Old Testament struggling to create a genuine Palestinian reading of the Bible. To understand the situation of Palestinian churches better, historical and regional context of Great Syria (Bilad ash-Sham) territory is described in two first chapters. The first examines the historical condition of mutual Muslim-Christian and inter-church relations. The second identifies the main socio-political, ecumenical and theological problems of Churches in neighbouring countries of Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Then the three chapters consecrated to church policy, theology and...

The effect of x-ray tube voltage on the initial surface dose.
HYKA, Daniel
Relating to the adoption of the Law No.18/1997 of the Legal Code, the so called ?Atom Law? amended with the Law No. 13/2002 of the Legal Code, the radiation protection regulations were considerably toughen. According to the Paragraph 4 of the Law each subject executing operations resulting in radiation is obliged to ensure priority radiation protection. In addition, each subject is obliged to implement quality assurance system according to the Regulation No.214/1997 of the Legal Code and each subject authorized to handling sources of ionizing radiation is according to the Paragraph 18, Article I, Letter a) of the Atom Law also obliged to monitor the source of ionizing radiation by monitoring, measuring, evaluating and recording relevant figures. The Law No. 18/97 of the Legal Code also imposes the obligation to maintain such level of radiation protection that the life and health hazard and the environmental threats are as low as it is reasonably possible when economic and social views are taken into account. This optimization is attained with the implementation of the quality assurance program, which contains the long-term stability test. One of the steps leading to optimization and reduction of the ionizing radiation dose is correct selection of the load parameters of the X-ray machine. An important factor is the used voltage of the x-ray tube; it affects the input surface kerma, which is the fundamental information for the subsequent estimation of the effective dose. Changing this parameter can considerably effect, or decrease, the absorbed dose for the patients and the staff. Often such conditions arise which necessitate a voltage change, which on the other hand require a change in exposition (mAs or distance). However, we have to keep in mind that increased voltage together with adjusted exposition with the average density maintained the same; will result in lower image contrast, because the x-ray radiation produced with higher voltage reduces the subject contrast. The same applies vice versa, i.e. when voltage is decreased, subject contrast is increased. The objectives of the practical part of the thesis is to find out based on dosimetry measurement using a phantom, what is the effect of the voltage change on the x-ray tube on the increase or decrease of the radiation load on patients during skiagraphic procedures.

John's Gospel in the Context of the New Testament and Gnosis
Tichá, Jitka ; Funda, Otakar A. (advisor) ; Hauser, Michael (referee)

Selected problems of application of the Insolvency Act
Kulíř, Martin ; Pohl, Tomáš (advisor) ; Macková, Alena (referee)
Selected problems of application of the Insolvency Act On the 1st of January 2008, Act No. 182/2006 Coll. on Insolvency and its Resolution (Insolvency Act), which constitutes the substance of current legal regulation of bankruptcy law in the Czech Republic, came into force. There was a need to adopt new regulation emerged not only as a result of obsolescence of the original regulation, which - despite numerous direct or indirect amendments - was not able to respond adequately to economic changes, but also due to the necessity to adjust bankruptcy law to European legal regulations. The Insolvency Act together with implementing regulations form the basis of an entirely new and complex legal regulation which stands on its own principles, introduces uniform insolvency proceedings for all kinds of resolutions of insolvency and also new forms of insolvency resolutions. In addition to bankruptcy as a traditional and liquidating form of insolvency resolution, the Insolvency Act introduces a reorganisation and a discharge of debts as preservation methods of insolvency resolution which might be more profitable both for the debtor and his creditors. Reorganisation is designated for entrepreneurs, while discharge of debts was adopted as a resolution of state of insolvency of non-entrepreneurs. But this current legal...

Effect of changes in legislation on the profitability of business in solar energy
EIBLOVÁ, Pavla
The main goal of my bachelor work is the characteristic of photovoltaics (solar energy) and its legislation. In the first part I have studied information about photovoltaics in Czech Republic and information about the operation of solar power plants and its types of supporting. The main theoretical part of the thesis is the collection of all laws related to solar energy, including the interconnection of individual laws to others, especially to the standards set by the European Union. Furthermore, I will describe the development of legislation during the years 2010 - 2012, which will be viewed in chronological order and actually collected from various sources in the form of short messages or selected passages of law and adapted to an effective review. The goal of the practical part of the thesis is to introduce the concretely selected photovoltaic power plants and to determine the impact of the "solar tax" on their business. I have used the chosen methods of financial analysis, value and bankruptcy models and profitability to analyze the impact caused by the changes in legislation. Last part is dedicated to review the achieved results.
