The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to present individual interpretations of the concept of "accountability" made by workers who provide services in sheltered workshops to people with disabilities in one particular organization. The research of the interpretations focused on the individual as well as on the shared. The qualitative research done by interviewing employees in the grounds of the organisation brought following findings. In broad sense, accountability is comprehended by the employees either as a procedure or a determintaion by a certain verb. Freedom and possibility of conscious estimation of consequences is characteristic for the first case. The reflection includes the frame as well as the action as such. In the second case the definition of accountability is done by means of verb specification. The reflection focuses on the verb and its interpretations. The two approaches of the "Procedure" and "Determination by verb" are almost the same in the broad sense and in profesional sense too. The range of accountability is deeply specified by the scope of jobsheet. There are two more concepts of accountability in terms of profession: Formal (methodic) and Felt-level. The formal accountability is limited by working hours and it includes the relationship to employer, clients and equipment. The felt- level...

Work includes author's individual views on the given dilemma presented in her own creation (series of paintings). The didactic application of the topic has also been presented (teaching project).

Modelling of land cover change in abandoned landscape using time series of aerial photography
Brůna, Josef ; Jačková, Kateřina (referee) ; Vojta, Jaroslav (advisor)
Obsah 5 English abstract This thesis deals with modelling of land cover change in abandoned landscape. The study site is located in the military area Hradiště, around the former village Tocov, it is 2,5 km long and 2 km wide. Due to lack of historical vegetation data on landscape scale, historical aerial photographs were used as a primary source of data. They were orthorectified, mosaicked and automatically object oriented then classified in two categories woodland and grassland. Changes between two successive classified images were modelled with generalized linear models with mixed effects (lmer). Variables that were derived from digital elevation model, former land use and spatial variables computed with algorithms based on cellular automata were used. In order to verify the model predictions with the actual situation and for easier interpretation and visualization of results, a new application PEMZOK (Spatially explicit model of overgrowth of abandoned landscape) was developed and is one of the results of this work. Rapid rate of overgrowth of remaining grasslands was found. The largest observed effect on the spread of trees had the distance to the nearest tree or shrub and density of trees in the vicinity (15 m × 15 m) and the wider neighbourhood (105 m × 105 m). Models with these variables and land use...

Střílková, Dagmar ; Vytlačilová, Jitka (referee) ; Vytlačilová, Jitka (advisor)
Dagmar Střílková, Ecotoxicologial study of the select drug, diploma work Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Ecology Ibuprofen, the effective substance of drug IBALGIN® 400 mg, belongs to widely used nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. It is primary used to treat most of the inflammatory illnesses. The renal excreting is the most important way of the final elimination. Ibuprofen can get into surface, ground and drinking water. Because of the interpretation of the result for impact on enviroment, the acute toxicity of this pharmaceutical was evaluated on organism of all the trophic levels. The green alga S capricornutum was chosen like the representative of the procedurs, which is used in 72 hour growth inhibition test ALGALTOXKIT F. Crustacean T platyurus of the series of the consumers was used in 2 next tests. The mortality of the larva of this crustacean is found out by means of 24 hour test THAMNOTOXKIT F. RAPIDTOXKIT evaluates the inhibition of the food receiving by the crustacean. 2 tests were done on the representative of the decomposer, T pyriformis. PROTOXKIT F evaluates the growth inhibition of this ciliate. MTT bioassay is based on the reduction of tetrazolium salt (MTT) by the mitochondrial dehydrogenace of viable cells in formazan....

Analysis of the BlueJ program open-source version
Batelka, Martin ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is the description of the BlueJ application architecture from the code point of view, especially on the basic level. The UML diagrams were used for the interpretation of the analysis results and therefore these diagrams form substantial part of this thesis. One of the aims of this work was to overlook and describe possibilities of the program modifications, concretely application extension by direct implementation without usage of external modules. Special emphasize is superimposed on adaptation of graphic user interface. Minor changes of the BlueJ environment were performed and described to fulfill the aim of this work. Detailed description of the BlueJ program is outside of the topic of this thesis; nevertheless the reader is introduced to the BlueJ project and acquires sufficient information about the conception of internal organization of the individual project sections. This knowledge could be helpful for further deep analyses of the educational environment BlueJ. The results of this work ought to make easier the future effort of users and developers of this program package.

Are the bees a Coasean lighthouse?
Hořánková, Kristýna ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor) ; Bolcha, Peter (referee)
The aim of this paper is to interpret the economical importance of keeping bees and to describe the externality they provide, as well as the externality formed by farmers. The issue will be introduced by outlining the solution to the reciprocal externality with the assistance of governmental intervention justified by A. C. Pigou and J. E. Meade. Secondly, It will be proved that Coase's Lighthouse Theory is the equivalent of Cheung's bees and that it is possible to remove the externality they create by the mechanism of the market. Furthermore, we will compare the development of governmental interventions in the Czech Republic and the US and prove -- by the pattern Muth and col. - the subsidies adversely affect the efficient elimination of the externalities struggled by the market. In the end, we will characterize pollination services in terms of the Czech market. The US market is much more extensive than the Czech market, but the latter seems to have the potential to remove the externality even in this particular situation.

Švejda, Josef ; Průchová, Andrea (advisor) ; Šoltys, Otakar (referee)
This thesis analyzes news photographs related to the Old Town Square and its task is to explore the role of a place in a city and how it determines the myths in visual messages. The theoretical part focuses on the context of semiotics and news photographs and describes the possibilities in interpreting meanings of visual communication. In relation to photographic messages, it also reflects the analytical background at the level of myth, based on the work of Roland Barthes. Theoretical part also takes in account the symbolic and historical values of the Old Town Square. The analysis itself is based on a sample of 20 randomly selected photographs present in MF Dnes and Blesk, which cover events taking place in the Old Town Square between 1993 and 2013. Using comparative semiotic analysis it focuses on the visual content of news photographs in these journals, while observing how the Old Town Square takes part in the connotative chains and resulting myths.
