Gas fired boiler house
Hosnedl, Pavel ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis deals with problems of determining operational and safety risks at gas boiler room in office building with total output of 4×49 kW. The gas boiler room is equipped with four boilers Geminox THRi 10-50. The aim of this master thesis is to determine the potential operational and safety risks of gas boiler room. The master thesis is divided into several parts, when the first part is describing the current situation with some theoretical knowledge and risk analysis. This part also outlines possible solutions for identification and quantification of risks to the gas boiler room. The specific risk factors are determined at other part of master thesis and there is also their analysis, which is solved by cause and effect diagram and by Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. The specific precautions are suggested for chosen risks in final part of master thesis.

Design of collector
Podhorský, Michal ; Létal, Tomáš (referee) ; Horsák, Libor (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to make the design of the collector. The work is divided into two parts. The first part will analyze the individual parts of the collector and its analytical calculation using the EN 12 952, ČSN 69 0010 and ASME I. The second part is focuses on the verification of the analytical calculation using the FEM in ANSYS and explore the most dangerous places. The result is also creating drawings documentations.

The position of Emirates Airline in the aviation industry and its customer service
Berger, Vít ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Bockstefel, Jan (referee)
In this thesis I focus on Emirates Airlines, in particular by identifying key factors that led to the acquisition of the current position in the global aviation market. Till the foundation of Emirates Airlines the aviation industry in this region practically did not exist, and therefore it was not too interesting market in general. Using the research of case study at the thesis, I first examined how and why the airline was founded and subsequently described the uniqueness of this particular case. Partial aims are to answer the research questions and confirm or refute the initial hypothesis. In conclusion, I summarized all the key factors and assess their uniqueness and potential limitations when applied to similar cases in the aviation sector.

Parametric study of usability of selected surveying equipment for monitoring of mine workings stability in undermined areas
Kajzar, Vlastimil ; Kukutsch, Radovan ; Koníček, Petr ; Waclawik, Petr ; Šňupárek, Richard
Although the deformation measurements are in mining practice routine activities, the development of information and surveying technology shows, that it is possible to approach this problematics in a new way. One of the options is the application of terrestrial 3D laser scanning technology, which can be successfully used both for purposes of monitoring - deformations of objects on undermined area and mine workings at all.\nSubmited parametric study presents the use of laser technology in the research activities of the Institute of Geonics, v.v.i., within the ICT-PU project. This study deals with technical and theoretical aspects of laser scanning, which verification in situ has been a precondition for the subsequent successful application of this technology both on the surface and in the mining environment. The main scope of the study is dedicated to the deployment of selected technology in solving specific tasks. In the undermined areas were achieved knowledge used in solving the problems of monitoring the stability of slopes and rock faces of mining chasm. In the underground mine workings, this technology has been successfully deployed for the purposes of the spatial deformation monitoring of selected longwall corridor at mine Karvina and also for the long-term monitoring of coal pillars in Room and Pillar pilot project at ČSM coal mine.\nAt the end of a parametric study is special space devoted to the limiting factors of 3D laser scanning and also to the summary of best practices of scanning in such highly exposed conditions.\n

Analysis of corporate training system and development of managers
Uhlířová, Adéla ; Stříteský, Marek (advisor) ; Legnerová, Kateřina (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the analysis of corporate training and development of managers. This thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part there is defined corporate training and its importance for companies. Then, the theory describes the system of corporate training and its phases, namely the identification of needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of education. The theoretical part is followed by an analytical section that discusses the system of training and development of managers in a particular company, which is analyzed using a questionnaire survey, which was answered by employees of the company. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the educational activities of the company and identify its strengths and weaknesses, and suggest how the educational system could be improved.

Tradition of purism in Croatian linguistics
Vlašić, Marija ; Gladkova, Hana (advisor) ; Dudok, Miroslav (referee) ; Šurla, Andrej (referee)
The main topic of the doctor's thesis is tradition of purism in Croatian linguistics, i.e. the development of Croatian language from the point of view of the thesis of purism as a constant in Croatian langauge. The focus is placed by the author on the role of Croatian linguistics in building such a traditional image. The thesis furthermore explains motives and perspectives of the mentioned tendency. The thesis questions the role of purist principles in the construction of language identity and analyzes long-term consequences of this tendency in Croatian linguistics. The introductory chapter gives an overview of theoretic opinions on the term of purism and current ideas of the recent socio-linguistics and furthermore explains the position of Croatian linguistics on the level of purism of Croatian language. Puristic tendency of Croatian language is in Croatian linguistics considered analogue to the language development. Therefore, purism is a very important element of identification built into the character itself of Croatian language. The view onto Croatian linguistic history is narrowed in the second part of the thesis, in which the author analyzes the materials, in which elements of implicit and explicit purism are to be seen (from pre-standard era, beginning of standardisation and particularly the...
