The Specifics of the nursing care in catering for long- term dialysis patients
ŠRÁMEK, Kamil
Haemodialysis is a method of removing waste substances such as potassium, urea and excess water from the blood during renal failure. Hemodialysis is one of three renal replacement therapies. Other treatments are a kidney transplant and peritoneal dialysis. Hemodialysis can be performed either in the hemodialysis center, or in a hospital, but home hemodialysis is not too frequent. Eating for dialysis patients differs significantly from the forward dialysis diet period. A well balanced diet is the foundation of everything. The patient may neither be malnourished, nor to have surplus of any components in their diet. A diet for patients in dialysis program must meet two basic requirements; the diet must provide enough energy and substances needed by the body mainly amino acids required for the production of protein, calcium, vitamins, iron, restrict certain substances that accumulate in the body is harmful, for example, fluid restriction, excess protein from which the formation of urea, excess phosphorus, which accelerated calcification of blood vessels, excess potassium, which at high levels in the blood can cause heart rhythm disturbances. Qualitative research was carried out by interview. The interview contained a total of twenty semi-structured questions and was prepared in advance. Each interview was anonymous and each respondent had the opportunity to refuse it. With the consent of the respondent and the ward nurse, the interview was recorded on a tape recorder and later adapted into an electronic form, which became the basis for the research. The trading in lions's hunting trophies (Panthera leo) with regard to conservation
HRDLIČKOVÁ, Lucie
In addition to other causes of threats to the lion (Panthera leo), such as the loss of habitat, disease and conflict with humans, the largest subject of discussion is the trophy hunting. The growing threat to populations divides scientists, participants in hunting industry, various welfare and conservation organizations and now also a part of the general public into two camps. Some believe that it is possible sustainable trophy hunting and trading with other commodities originating from lions because this activity are considered for protection. The other side says the opposite and try to stop the excessive use of various means, such as through petitions, meetings with politicians and disseminating information to the public. The space-time development of trade was evaluated for the period 1977 - 2012 using data gathered in CITES Trade Database, and also on the basis of the information obtained. Scientists have already proved that in some areas trophy hunting affected lion population and increases a infanticide. To this mortality may be added moreover additive mortality due to trapping, retaliatory killing and poaching. More and more threat are becoming the farms in South Africa exporting most bones into Laos and then to Vietnam and China, where are replacing tiger bones. South Africa is also the world's largest exporter of trophies, bones, and body parts and live specimens, it is also the third largest importer. While the local number of lions in the wild exceeds 2000, there are 8 000 captive bred ones. The USA are the world's largest importer of trophies, other specimens, claws, teeth, skulls, bodies and parts. The import is also significantly involved in EU countries (Spain, Germany, France, Great Britain and Switzerland). Specimens mostly come from nature and from breeding in captivity. The most abundant reason for business is hunting trophy and subsequently personal and commercial reason. The most traded commodities are trophies and then claws, teeth and skulls. Trade reached its peak in 2009 and then in 2011, with total trade amounted to 149 202 commodities.

WEISSOVÁ, Veronika
Students of secondary hotel schools are the most likely candidates to work in catering services because of their professional specialization. Graduates may work in the hospitality or hotel industry and are qualified for a job in catering and should be able to ensure compliance in hygiene, health and safety at work. This work is focused on students of the secondary hotel schools and their awareness of hygiene requirements in food services. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines catering service, its features and types. It also includes the legislation relating to hygiene requirements in food industry, describes the spatial requirements for businesses, personal and operational hygiene and the HACCP system. The work also briefly describes different ways of food preparation and possibilities to influence health safety and the most common foodborne infections in catering services caused by failing to comply with correct manufacturing and hygiene principles. This work describes sanitation (disinfection, insect and rodent control) and the performance of state health supervision of food hygiene. The practical part includes research results which were obtained by a quantitative questionnaire method. Questionnaires were distributed amongst students of third and fourth (the final) years of secondary hotel schools in České Budějovice and Teplice. Each questionnaire contained 25 closed questions; the data collection was conducted anonymously. 106 of the 110 distributed questionnaires were returned from the Secondary Hotel School in České Budějovice. 99 questionnaires were sufficiently filled in to meet the research needs, making the return of 90%. In the Secondary Hotel School in Teplice, 98 of the 100 distributed questionnaires returned, 96 were sufficiently filled in, making the return of 96%. The aim of this work was to determine the level of awareness of the hygiene requirements in food service at secondary hotel schools in Teplice and České Budějovice. Based on the objectives of the work I set two hypotheses. Hypothesis 1: Students of secondary hotel schools in Teplice and České Budějovice are not informed about hygiene requirements in food services. Hypothesis 2: Students of secondary hotel schools in Teplice and České Budějovice who are interested in working in catering services are informed about hygiene requirements for food services more than students who are not interested in such work. After testing the two hypotheses it is evident from the results that the students of secondary hotel schools in Teplice and České Budějovice are not informed about hygiene requirements in food services and that students of secondary hotel schools in České Budějovice and Teplice who are interested in working in catering services are more informed about the hygiene requirements than students who do not intend to work in the field. Based on these findings, it is important to educate students of secondary hotel schools continually, especially about the foodborne disease issues and also, to motivate them to work in catering services, because there are more than 50% of students who do not want to advance towards working in the industry at both schools. There was almost no difference between the knowledge of students in secondary hotel schools in Teplice or České Budějovice. Students of the Secondary Hotel School in České Budějovice were slightly better an the number of correctly answered questions. Only one question, concerning the E-coli outbreak in Germany, was correctly answered by most students in Teplice. This work could serve as a teaching resource improving knowledge in this field. The outcome of this work is a flyer for the secondary hotel schools students.

VOTAVOVÁ, Šárka
Particularities of nursing care for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints This work deals with the issue of multicultural care because this topic is very relevant at present. It is probable for the staff of health-care facilities to meet members of minorities more and more frequently. To provide high-quality nursing care, the needs must be known and the cultural and the religious differences of members of other minorities must be respected. The nurse provides nursing care adapted to specific needs of minority members on the base of the ascertained data. This work is focused on the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are called "Mormons". The goal of the work was to find out the particularities of provision of nursing care to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Further to map the approach to health and the particularities of life style of the members of that Church. Interviews with the Church members were made in order to give a thorough picture of the relevant issue. The second part of the research investigation was focused on nurses. We ascertained whether the nurses knew the issue of multicultural nursing and whether they knew the particularities of provision of care to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In order to obtain a base for solution of the above stated tasks, a questionnaire was elaborated. 94 respondents took part in the questionnaire inquiry. The research showed lack of the nurses{\crq} knowledge on the given issue. That results in the finding that it would be suitable to deepen the nurses' interest in the relevant issue. Special nursing care will be culturally adequate and better acceptable for the Church members. The nurses{\crq} training will lead to increasing quality of nursing care. The goal of this work was to unify the information on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The research showed that the Church members were satisfied with the care provided. In spite of that, more interest and respect to their religion by health care workers would be appropriate.
