Impact of Arches and Acral Parts of Upper Limbs in Prop up Position on Coactivation of Muscle Chains - Pilot Study
Ballýová, Monika ; Špringrová, Ingrid (advisor) ; Bitnar, Petr (referee)
Bibliografický záznam BALLÝOVÁ, Monika. Impact of Arches and Acral Parts of Upper Limbs in Prop up Position on Coactivation of Muscle Chains - Pilot Study. Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports, 2016, 70 p., Supervisor: PhDr. Ingrid Palaščáková Špringrová, Ph.D. Abstract The Acral Coactivation Therapy, based on neurophysiology, is a method the principle of which consists in propping up on acral parts of the limbs with the aim to coactivate ventral and dorsal muscle chains in order to center the root joints and to straighten the axial skeleton subsequently. The practical part of the thesis is aimed at verification of the Acral Coactivation Therapy principles. Two groups of individuals were objects of the research: mountaineers and general population. Normal arches of upper limbs statistically prevailed in the group of the mountaineers, which proves the impact of regular physical activity on musculoskeletal system and its function. Surface electromyography recorded the impact of correction of the acral part on change in muscular activity. The results of the electromyographic measurement showed the same trends in muscular activity changes as the outcomes resulting from the Acral Coactivation Therapy. Statistically, the most substantial changes were...
ACT - according Palaščáková Špringrová - Influence on Backeche during the Pregnancy and Puerperium
Baranová, Eva ; Vondráková, Ivana (advisor) ; Hylmarová, Ludmila (referee)
Author: Eva Baranová Institution: Department of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Hradec Králové Title of Bachelor's thesis: ACT® - Influence on Backache during the Pregnancy and Puerperium Supervisor: Mgr. Ivana Vondráková Number of pages: 105 Number of pictures: 40 Number of charts: 24 Year of defense: 2014 Keywords: ACT® - Acral coactivation therapy® /Ingrid Palaščáková Špringrová, acra, buckling, straightening, ontogenetic, positions, pregnancy, puerperium Bachelor thesis deals with the method ACT® - acral coactivation therapy and its application of back pain in pregnancy and in the postpartum period. In the theoretical part of this thesis is the anatomy of the spine, planes and dimensions of the pelvic stabilizing system of the spine and the importance of muscle systematization . Another chapter is a method of ACT® - acral coactivation therapy, which describes its principles. The last chapter is about pregnancy itself, change of it and nourishment. The practical part included two case reports of pregnant patients with back pain. Both attended the outpatient rehabilitation. They were treated conservatively, one with low back pain, the one with a sore a lower thoracic and upper lumbar spine. Each of the patients there is done input and output kinesiology examination,...
Methods of Static Buckling Analysis
Svoboda, Filip ; Eliáš, Jan (referee) ; Frantík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this theses is to create application, which is able to calculate buckling load of structure made from 1D bar elements, using finite element method. introduction is devoted to basic principles of buckling and derivation of necessary formulas. Then are described all operations and numerical methods needed for the application. At the and is in detail analyzed few structures and results are compared with known solutions or with other applications.
Steel structure of a heliport
Klimeš, Pavel ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis concerns with the design and static analysis of the heliport steel construction, which has the height of 20 m. The heliport is situated in Prague, Na Františku as a part of the hospital. The technical report and drawings are included in the thesis as well. The thesis consists of the determination of the heliport total load (including permanent, live and climate loads) and, its implementation in the SCIA Engineer 2015.3 computer software. The stress analysis of selected rods and, joints was consequently carried out by means of the manual calculation.
Qualitative study of beam finite elements
Martinásková, Magdalena ; Němec,, Ivan (referee) ; Nevařil, Aleš (advisor)
The issues were selected that have been expected to induce complications in modelling or calculations. These were solved in commercial softare RFEM, Scia, Axis and ANSYS using the FEM. The problems include geometric nonlinearities or address buckling or torsion. The basic theory and the software solutions are presented. For each task there are stated the parameters of calculation for individual programs, in more complex cases the way of assembling the model and solution steps are also described. The results obtained are compared to theoretical analytically obtained solution.
Problems of Reliability of Steel Members Sensitive to Imperfections
Nezbedová, Anna ; Lehký, David (referee) ; Kala, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problems of reliability of steel members sensitive to imperfections. Formulas for nonlinear analysis of compressed and bended members are derived. For compressed elements, there is described the issue of buckling, for bended elements it is lateral-torsional buckling. Then a statistical analysis of reliability of these problems is performed and also comparison with the approach described in Eurocode 3.
Overground Parking House
Pevner, Jan ; Klodner, Jan (referee) ; Perla, Jan (advisor)
The work focuses on the design and assessment of selected structural elements of one overground floor monolithic concrete structures and staircases. All calculations are done in accordance with Eurocode 2.
Load bearing RC structure of office building
Ferencz, Balázs ; Zlámal, Martin (referee) ; Šimůnek, Petr (advisor)
The Master’s thesis is focused on the analysis and design of selected members of load-bearing structure of an administration building according to the ultimate limit states (ULS) and seviceability limit states (SLS). The calculation and the analysis was supported by design software SCIA ENGINEER 2012. Structural analysis deals with the design of the reinforced concrete (RC) flat slab above the 4rd strorey which is particularly supported by RC columns and particularly lies on RC walls. Furthermore, the Master’s thesis contains analysis of some selected columns of last three storeys, column of lowest storey, construction of stairway between 4rd and 5th storeys. The work beside this deals with the calculation and design of foundation of the object. The rest parts of the load-bearing structure are not solved in the Master’s thesis.
Planetarium
Sokolová, Eva ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The master’s thesis object is to create a design of a load carrying steel structure planetarium. Its ground plan dimensions are 36,1 x 49,0 m. The planetarium hall’s roof is designed with system of trusses and purlins. The projection hall’s roof consists of ribbed cupola with radially arched ribs. The stiffness of the whole construction is ensured with bracings. The walls of the whole object are composed of columns, rails and bracings.
Stress and deformation analysis of railway bridge over the Odra River
Svoboda, Josef ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with strain, stress and deformation analysis of the planar truss bridge construction. The aim is to determined the size of axial forces for statically determinate system and then making construction changes to reduce axial stresses in the individual beams in the structure. This structural modification becomes statically indeterminate structure. To solve this problem we consider different positions of the train at the bridge. The obtained values we can use to assess stress and deformation of the structure and the analytical results will be compared with the results obtained using the finite element method.
