Category of Number in Korean Language
Kašparová, Zuzana ; Horák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ferklová, Blanka (referee)
(in English): The submitted bachelor's thesis deals with the category of number with focus on Korean. The thesis deals both with the concept of singularity and plurality and with number as a grammatical category. The emphasis is placed on a specific phenomenon of Korean where the plural suffix appears even on non-nominal sentence elements and therefore it brings new semantic and pragmatic functions. A general presentation of the category of number with regard to Skalička's language typology is provided in the theoretical part. The main topic of the thesis is number in Korean - it studies on the means by which it can be expressed and it focuses specifically on the plural suffix -tŭl, which is the most common frequent way of expressing plural in Korean. The suffix -tŭl has two main types. The thesis deals both with the more "traditional" one that appears on countable nouns and pronouns and also with more complicated cases that appear with verbs and adverbs etc. The (un)productivity of the phenomenon is outlined in the end of the text.

Cultural property in armed conflicts: Typical motivations causing their destruction
Pelikánová, Eva ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bruner, Tomáš (referee)
In recent years protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflicts has become largely mentioned issue. Despite broad international legal codification of principles to prevent destruction of cultural property in the event of armed conflicts, destruction of cultural property obviously occurs. Within discussion on their protection, attention is not so paid to the values of cultural property representing for interested actors not merely in the event of armed conflicts. Attention is not much paid also to the motivations leading actors to destroy cultural property in the event of armed conflicts. The thesis is based on current state of knowledge both in academic or international law and it focuses on exploring motivations leading actors to destroy cultural property in the event of armed conflicts. To answer the research question: "What motivators are leading actors to actively destroy cultural monuments in armed conflicts?" is proceeded from analysis of literature that expounds the motivations for the destruction of cultural property in the event of armed conflicts. These motivations will be understood as theoretical explanations of destruction for the purposes of the work, and on the basis of five case studies, their validity will be checked. The subsequent synthesis of the conclusions of...

For this purpose, a battery of questions was used, which was repeatedly asked in the questionnaires in the Aktér surveys. This set of items measured values and life strategies of respondents on the five-point scales. Multidimensional statistical techniques, such as explorative factor analysis and cluster analysis, were employed to the typology-making process. The outcome of this thesis is the presentation of created respondent types (clusters), their identification on the basis of sociodemographic variables and the indication of the typology transformation in the process of time.
Classification of glacial lakes and methods of inventory
Pisarčíková, Alexandra ; Vilímek, Vít (advisor) ; Šobr, Miroslav (referee)
Classification of glacial lakes and methods of inventory Abstract: Classification of glacial lakes has its application all around the world. However, there is no unified system of typology that would make it possible to simplify and increase the effectivity of labour inventory. The thesis is dedicated to creation an overview of the definitions of glacial lake divided by euro-atlantic and asian literature and its resulting evaluation. The inventory of glacial lakes is closely connected to their classification. Therefore, the work subsequently presents individual methods that lead to the creation of a lake inventory. The basis of the creation of a design of the classification system is the research from already created glacial lakes classifications and analysis by which typology can be created. Overall, the classification of the lakes is divided into two main groups: by position to glacier or relief and according to the type of dam. Furthermore, 280 glacial lakes were analysed based on the inventory table in an interest area. On the basis of a created classification design, most of the lakes were classified under the inventory, thereby confirming its used application. Keywords: glacial lake, typology, classification, inventory, RS

Typology of processes for the creation of new companies within the manufacturing industry in Czechia: a comparative analysis of two regions
Mlnářík, Vojtěch ; Květoň, Viktor (advisor) ; Ježek, Jiří (referee)
This thesis contributes to the currently frequent topic of economic geography and explains the processes for the creation of new companies in the Pilsen and Zlín regions between years 2009-2011. The choice of these two regions reflects their similar structural characteristics within the firm sector and their different horizontal position. The aim of this work is to find out through which processes in the monitored regions new companies are being created within the manufacturing industry and to which extent these processes affect the subsequent economic performance of companies during the first five years of existence. For this purpose, a typology of the creation of new companies based on their initial characteristics was designed and processed. These initial characteristics reflect both the regional dimension in terms of the origin of the key resources for the creation of a new company relative to the hosting region and the consequent different competencies and possibilities of newly created companies. Despite the initial assumptions, the results showed that the compared regions are practically the same within this issue. In both regions, new companies are mostly created through internal processes (branching of activities from existing regional base), followed by a creation without a link to the...
