The motivation for the social work profession
KOŽURIKOVÁ, Magda
The thesis deals with the motivation that leads social workers to the choice of this profession. It refers mainly to the fact that the social work profession does not always act on the basis of pure motives, but sometimes its motives to help people can be not entirely correct. Despite this fact it cannot be said that such employee is unfit for social work. The crucial thing is to become aware of the source of the desire to help others and to learn to work with it. The theoretical part of the thesis should lead the readers who are involved in helping professions to think about what their motivation to be a social worker is and to use their knowledge for the benefit of their work and their clients. At the end of the theoretical part I deal with the burnout syndrome which may be caused by unresolved shady motives for a worker and also the question of the proper motivation and taking care of it. The practical part contains a study carried out by means of questionnaire, which was designed for social workers / social service workers in organizations if the Moravian-Silesian Region. It deals with the study of motivation (the motivation in choosing their profession, how the length of practice affects the motivation, the care of worker motivation in organizations, positive and negative motivation factors).

Ondračka, Michal ; Vláčil, Jan (advisor) ; Tvaroh, Stanislav (referee)
Work motivation is one of basic methods of management, it is a specific scientific field containing many scientific theories. An Effective motivation must be focused on characteristics of both the subject and the target. The greatest economic subject is the national economy with two cooperating sectors -- private, based on private ownership, and public sector financed by public sources. People engaged in one of these sectors can have various ideas and claims. For all managers, it is essential to know these claims and interests in order to apply a convenient motivation method. The aim of the proposed diploma thesis is to contribute to a solution of the following question -- is it necessary to motivate employees in public sector differently than employees in private sector? For this purpose I designed and evaluated a questionnaire. In last chapter, I suggest what measures are most convenient in order to reach the most effective motivation of employees in a public sector as well as in a private sector.

But this management method requires completely different manner of project workers consideration which can be unnatural for many people. This can cause same problems that in extreme cases may involve unsuccessful implementation of TOC. This is the reason why importance of motivation rapidly increases in connection with deployment and sustainment of Critical Chain Project Management. Main goals of this work are to describe most important differences between TOC and original methods of project management, to indentify impact of TOC on project workers, and (in relationship with previous findings) to evaluate existing theories of motivation and make a proposal of some measures for people motivation which are based on these theories.
