Enterprise Server Room Infrastructure Optimalization and Monitoring
Hink, Tomáš ; TUČEK, Daniel (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the design and implementation of optimization and monitoring of the server room. Optimization consists in designing access system and server room temperature measurement, automatic infrastructure start-up and power management, server and network infrastructure optimization, server virtualization management and network monitoring.
Performance testing of networks with Mikrotik components
Kaláb, Vojtěch ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to develop and describe application for Mikrotik Network stress testing. The aplication is developed in high-level scripting programming language Python. The aplication allowed us to configure and display in diagram our connected routers and network stress testing. Theoretical part is focused on Mikrotik company, their development and products. Next part is about theory of network stress testing and graph theory. The last part is about aplications development, programming language Python and used tools and libraries.
Detection of local area network topology
Šípek, Martin ; Gerlich, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the detection and mitigation of Man-in-the-Middle attacks in the local network using its own implementation in the Python programming language. One of the most common Man-in-the-Middle attacks is ARP spoofing, which should be identified by the detection system and then mitigate it. The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the current state of the issue, including a detailed description of the network analysis and tools which are used in this analysis. Cyber attacks are also described, namely Man-in-the-Middle and Denial-of-Service attacks. The practical part describes the realization of the experimental workplace and its detailed components and the installation and configuration of MySQL and Elasticsearch databases. It also focuses on the Suricata program, designed to analyze network traffic, on the actual implementation of Man-in-the-Middle attack detection and on the achieved results of testing of the implemented detection system.
Management and Monitoring of RouterOS Devices in Small Networks
Leštinský, Ondřej ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Hájek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the design and implementation of an information system that can remotely configure the device running RouterOS. The main features of system is the administration of clients who can connect to a network through a system of registered devices. All clients connection speed can be limited and viewed their current status. All registered devices can be displayed on the map. The management system can perform only authorized administrators.
Measurements in an 802.11n radio network with hidden nodes
Vágner, Adam ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
The current large concentration of wireless networks brings new horizons, but also new concerns. Failure to follow basic rules may produce far-reaching problems that could make more wrinkles to all affected managers and administrators. The aim of this thesis was to measure and compare the radio parameters of selected products and how they behave in neighboring interference and the speed they have while there are hidden nodes. The resulting values were measured in the laboratory network Wificolab and compared with the various support protocols. Possible effects on the specific situation are also analyzed in this thesis.
Web application for Mikrotik network nodes management
Vaňátko, Matěj ; Hajný, Jan (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis describes a comprehensive solution of a web application for administration of extensive LAN and WAN networks, which are based on nodes by MikroTik . There is a feasibility study, which says, what modules and what functionality should be included. Also a database structure is clarified and technical procedures of solution of the whole assignment are outlined with an emphasis on universality and maximal simplicity.
Usage of MikroTik Routerboards for Education in Computer Networks Courses at FIT
Šebeň, Patrik ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Ráb, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyzes usage of routerboard Mikrotik for education at network courses. Several exercises were created, oriented at routing, routing protocols, configuring and securing wireless networks. Further, it deals with selection of alternative operating system for RB433AH router and setting it up.
Impact of aerial platform material on antenna gain
Tobolka, Lukáš ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to recreate some of the most used multicopter configurations within CAD software with varying materials. These models are then imported into ANSYS HFSS to examine the influence of shape and material on the performance of an antenna. Results from these tests could help in the creation of a high-speed (Gb/s) backhaul network in the future. The theory section is about multicopters, their configurations and materials used in their manufacture. Subsequently, it delves into the fundamental theory behind antennas and the description of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor 2016) and antenna simulation software (ANSYS HFSS). The practical section includes: description of the measurement process for the MikroTik wAP 60G AP antenna, the parameters of which were used during the simulation; a model of the antenna (horn) and last but not least the results of the measurements, which are the thesis’ main benefit.
Optimization of Ethernet network in manufacturing plant
Kratochvíl, Petr ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the work performed in the optimization of the corporate network in the company Alps Electric Czech to expand the amount of information obtained about the state of the network and thus improve the response of the IT department to potencial errors. During the optimization, a monitoring system was also deployed and its connection to the helpdesk and a tailor-made website running on the Flask microframework. With the gradual deployment, adjustments were made based on feedback from the IT department staff. Overall, the network has become more clarified, increasing the efficiency of maintenance and service.
Network management using Mikrotik
Zavadil, Pavel ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe the tools of evaluation of the state of the network, the description of network components of Lithuanian company Mikrotik and the demonstration of network failure scenarios with its subsequent reconfiguration to maintain communication.
