Calibration rutines of the standard Datron 4920
Schinneck, Jakub ; Bednář, Pavel (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This master’s deals with the calibration routines of the alternating voltage measurement standard Datron 4920. The first part introduces the basic terminology of metrology, its history and organizations specializing in metrology. The thesis describes the alternating voltage at the highest metrological level through AC/DC difference. The theoretical part also describes the alternating voltage measurement standard Datron 4920 and its measurement functions together with the calibration routines. The main aim of thesis is to create the calibration procedures AVMS Datron 4920. Based on the created calibration procedures, a flowchart of application for calibration routines is designed. The practical part then continues with programming application for calibrating AVMS Datron 4920 based on the created flowchart. In conclusion, the application is tested at selected points of measurement and an analysis of measurement uncertainties is carried out.

Pressure measurement
Jakubec, Jan ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The project elaborated in a scope of engineer studies in branch 2301R016 submits summary of various methods of pressure measurement. Literary study draws up possibilities and variants of pin-pointing the absolute, relative and barometric pressure, suction, excess pressure and vacuum with analysis of its significance for engineering procedures. Main area is pressure of fluid, piston and bell-shaped gauges, deformation and electrical with examples of their practical use in engineering.
Systémy měření rozměrů a tolerancí v technické praxi
Hlaváček, Martin
The presented bachelor thesis researches the area of length measurement in engineering practice. It describes the possibilities of measuring length dimensions in practice using modern measuring systems. First, basic concepts in engineering metrology, measuring procedures and an introduction to basic length measuring instruments are defined. This is followed by an introduction to more advanced, more accurate measurement systems, namely measurement using pneumatic, electronic and optoelectronic gauges. The work mainly focuses on measurement using coordinate measuring machines in engineering practice. It also deals with the measurement of surface profile, especially the mean arithmetic roughness Ra. The thesis concludes with a discussion of modern measuring methods and outlines the shift in the use of coordinate measuring machines in engineering practice and anticipated future developments.
Determination of device geometrical misalignments influence on dimensional measurements in X-ray microcomputed tomography
Preparation of a diagnostic laboratory for accreditation
Malík, Luděk ; Polsterová, Helena (referee) ; Jandová, Kristýna (advisor)
In the diploma thesis, the process of preparation of the selected electrotechnical laboratory for accreditation is described. The thesis deals with the accreditation system of the Czech Republic, which also contains the process of an accreditation. The work contains a summary of requirements from the standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. A laboratory has to meet these requirements in order to receive accreditation. Following the content of the standard, the short research of metrology is also included. The diagnostic laboratory which is being prepared for accreditation is also introduced. Direct financial expenses of the accreditation are also included. The introduction of new procedures in the laboratory in accordance with requirements from standard, inspection of the present state, inspection and creation of the controlled laboratory documentation in a way to meet requirements from standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 are encompassed in the preparation for accreditation. The laboratory requires software of a suitable type to be selected, which suits accreditation and helps the laboratory maintain controlled documentation in order, as well as metrology processes.
Late Roman Silver Coinage (from Arcadius and Honorius to the end of the 5th century AD)
Gambacorta, Federico ; Marek, Václav (advisor) ; Kolniková, Eva (referee) ; Militký, Jiří (referee)
This PhD research has furnished the occasion to update the outdated works about Late Roman coinage focusing especially on a topic not so commonly examined like the Late Roman silver coinage. More precisely, it is analysed and discussed some of its more intriguing aspects. First of all how silver, as metal, was considered and perceived in Late Roman society and, therefore, why during fifth century AD silver bullion was used to produce fine silver objects rather than coins. Two different Late Roman customs concerning silver coinage are then reviewed: hoarding, with a list of most recent findings, and clipping. Finally a chapter is dedicated to the metrology and fineness of Late Roman silver coins together with an accurate analysis of the 7 different denominations. This extensive and deep discussion about Late Roman silver coinage's main problematics is completed by the most recent and updated catalogue of all the Late Roman silver denominations known so far. Such a review has given not only the possibility of updating or modifying some of the previous theories but also the opportunity to suggest some new ideas. --------------------------------------- Podrobně jsou zkoumány některé konkrétní zásadsní otázky, především jakým způsobem bylo v pozdně římské společnosti vnímáno stříbro jako kov a proč tedy...
SMV-2020-29: An optical radiation source assembly with an optional coherence length
Lazar, Josef ; Buchta, Zdeněk ; Pikálek, Tomáš
This laser system combining three light sources with various coherence lengths has been developed for advanced interferometry techniques based on Twyman-Green interferometer inspecting complex optical setups with a sequence of reflecting optical surfaces. It introduces a unique concept of reduction of unwanted “dead fringes” generated by multiple reflections. It is introduced into quality control by an optical manufacturing company Meopta-optika and production of a few more is being prepared.

Development, design and implementation of iodine absorption cells for high-resolution spectroscopy and as an optical frequency reference for laser stabilization in a multi-pass arrangement to increase contrast.
SMV-2020-27: Interferometric system for coordinate measurement
Lazar, Josef ; Hrabina, Jan ; Holá, Miroslava ; Číp, Ondřej ; Čížek, Martin
The interferometric system for high-resolution wafer positioning is a result of applied research exploiting long-term research results in optical dimensional metrology at the Department of Coherence Optics which is in a prototype form designed for electron-beam lithography systems of a company Raith Nanofabrication, GmbH, Germany. Several prototypes have been tested on e-beam writers and will enter production.
