The Encounter with death as experience of children at primary

In my thesis I focus on the issue of death in relation to helping the bereaved, especial when they are children. I would like to show how children perceive the death of a loved one and how does this crisis situation project into their school life. As a College of Education student I am interested in how does this matter penetrate inside the school environment, whether it is included in the content of classwork and how is it accepted by the pupils. From my position of a starting teacher I would like to find out, by means of this thesis, whether there are any practices on how to treat a pupil who finds himself in this uneasy situation. This is a very timely topic, however it is often concealed and tabooed. From my point of view we should talk about death more, the topic of death should get more into the awareness of the pupils, because not only happy moment are a part of our lives, unfortunately there are also misery and sadness.

Crisis Management in Tourism Destinations

This bachelor thesis analyses an implementation of crisis management in selected tourism destinations, identifies strengths and weaknesses of crisis management in endured crisis situations and proposes a crisis plan for one selected tourism destination. It deals with crisis situations such as natural disasters, technical problems or terrorism. In its theoretical part the bachelor thesis generally describes the setting of crisis management in public administration in the Czech Republic and in Czech tourism destinations. In its practical part the work firstly determine risk categorization of tourism destination Český Krumlov and tourism destination Českobudějovicko-Hlubocko. Next, the work researches the current condition of the crisis management of these destinations. The information about the current condition is obtained through semi-structured interviews with destination representatives, through case studies dealing with endured crisis situations of these destinations and through an observation of their frequently visited places. The work also researches case studies dealing with endured crisis situations in various tourism destinations abroad and in the Czech Republic and compares discovered cognitions from these destinations with discovered cognitions from case studies of selected destinations. Based on the identified deficiencies, the work proposes several steps for improving of the crisis management of these destinations and a crisis plan for one of these destinations.

Preparedness for Crisis Situations in Schools from the Teachers' Point of View

This master's thesis Preparedness for Crisis Situations in Schools from the Teachers' Point of View deals with primary and secondary level education teachers' opinions on school safety and their experience with crisis situations in school. The main reserach matter is to carry out a survey based on questionnaires which ascertain the percentage of teachers who have had to intervene during crisis situations in their schools, find out which threats they consider most serious for their school, discover the teachers' opinion on security literacy and it's importance for their profession. Furthermore, this thesis stives to use the acquired data to design an informational poster targeted at school teachers which could help them get familiar with securiy relationships and contacts within and outside their school more easily. The theoretical part encompasses existing research on the topic of school safety in the Czech Republic and also selected foreign literature dealing with the subject. The primary method used in the theoretical part is study of scientific literature, professional journals and reliable on-line sources. Suicide Crisis Intervention

The diploma thesis is dedicated to suicide crisis intervention. The aim of this study was to determine what happens in crisis intervention with a suicide and what are the experiences of intervents that are members of the Czech national emergency system. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes a crisis and a crisis help, including the psychological first aid and the crisis intervention. The second chapter describes suicidality in a wider context and chosen theories and suicidal risks are introduced. In the third part, possibilities of a suicide crisis intervention providing and recommended methods are discused. The empirical part is based on qualitative methodology. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 12 respondents, members of the national emergency system, investigating their experiences in the filed suicide crisis intervention. The interviews were analyzed by IPA methodology. The results are properly described and afterwards discussed with the available literature. The preparedness of mayors municipalities of South Bohemian region on extraordinary events and crisis situations

The aimof this work was to assess the preparedness of mayors of municipalities in the South Bohemian Region for extraordinary events and crisis situations, in accordance with the valid Crisis Management Education Concept. A total of 570 municipalities were approached, 56 replies returned. As it is the isme of extraordinary events and crisis situations, the mayors of municipalities should be adequately informed and prepared. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of laws on the responsibilities of mayors of municipalities and municipalities in terms of extraordinary events and crisis situations. In the work 5 laws are defined and than charter about cooperation of the mayor of the municipality with the commander of the intervention and flow of information and documents at the municipallevel in the event of anextraordinary event. It is ananalysis of Act No. 128/2000 Coll., on municipalities (Municipalfacilities), Act No. 239/2000 Coll., on anintegrated rescue system and on the amendment of some laws, Act No. 254/2001 Coll., on crisis management and on the amendment of some laws, Act No. 254/2001 Coll. On water and on the amendment of some laws and Act No. 241/2000 Coll., on economic measures for crisis situations and on the amendment of somerelated laws. To test the hypothesis "The awareness of the mayors of municipalities of the South Bohemian Region in the field of extraordinary events and crisis situations doesn´t reach 75%" an extensive questionnaire survey was carried out. The questionnaire contained 51 questions and was divided into 4 sections, namely information about the respondent, aspects of preparedness, information aspects and other aspects. The 75% of the success rate of the correct answers was set to assess the awareness of municipal mayors. The results showed insufficient awareness, almost 25%. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the preparedness and information of the mayors of municipalities is insufficient, and points to the need for the Mayor of the municipalities to become more familiar with this issue.

Psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss

This work deals with possibilities of psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss. The introduction is a short treatise on the subject of death, followed by the topic of stillborn children regarded from the viewpoint of of human dignity, and an insight into the theory of social work and the role of the (psycho) social worker. The problem of burnout syndrome in the helping professions is also mentioned. Statistics in terms of perinatal deaths from the period between 2013 to 2015 are briefly presented as well as definitions or explanations of certain terms used in the work. The subsequent chapters describe the situation of mothers before and after finding out about the child's death. It is followed by a detailed introduction of criteria for the research conducted both by the qualitative and quantitative form and is supplemented by casuistry. Everything is summarised and put into context in the ensuing discussion, and more generally summarised in the conclusion of the whole work which demonstrated the need for expert-recommended possibilities of psychosocial assistance to parents in perinatal loss (naming the child, physical contact of parents with the child, getting of objects commemorating the child, funeral - farewell to the child, information about the burial site of the child). The work also pointed out the appropriateness of including a psychosocial worker in the multidisciplinary team in healthcare facilities. The contribution of this work is the possibility of its practical use as an aid in healthcare facilities where perinatal deaths occur.
