Předkládaná publikace Demografický vývoj Středočeského kraje v letech 1960 až 2012, vydaná oddělením informačních služeb Krajské správy ČSÚ pro Středočeský kraj, vyplňuje mezeru mezi publikacemi zabývajícími se demografickým vývojem tohoto kraje v dlouhodobějším časovém horizontu. Pro uživatele je přínosem jak analytická část doprovázená pro lepší názornost 122 grafy, tak i tabulková příloha se 140 tabulkami, které obsahují data zachycující demografické procesy v různém kombinačním třídění od roku 1960 do roku 2012.

Process of demographic reproduction of population in EU and its economical and social impacts

The main purpose of this thesis is to reveal the economic and social impacts of demographic development in European union. In chapter one basic demographic terms and theories which are connected to current and future situation in the area of development of natality, mortality and their result natural growth of population are described. In the second part of this thesis basic demographic data in areas of natality, mortality and growth of population are explored. Last chapter contains the information about projections of economic implication on the fiscal stability of government budget, implications for individuals and also social implications of current and future demographic development.
Influence of Family Policy on the Development of Demographic Processes Focused on Pardubice Region

The object of this essay is to examine the development of family policy and its effect on changes in demographic behavior of the inhabitants in the Czech Republic and the Pardubice Region during the period from 1989 to present. The first chapter describes the institution of the family and forms of family policy at the national and regional level. The theoretical part is followed by the second chapter, which analyzes the individual subsidies of the state to support families with children. It also includes a graphical representation of indicators describing trends of natality, fertility, nuptality and divorcity which may be affected by the government action. The last part contains an analysis of empirical research, which verifies the results of the previous chapters in practice. By the results, solutions to the current situation are suggested.
Influence of social policy on natality

The level of natality in the Czech Republic is getting lower, which can have a bad impact at future population. The task of this thesis is to define social policy and social protection in the Czech Republic, United Kingdom and Switzerland. The main purpose is to verify or disprove the influence of social policy on natality in these states. This thesis also compares demographic and social indicators and looks for possible connections. The last part includes a recommendation how to improve a family policy in the Czech Republic.
Planned versus realized fertility - a questionnaire survey of realized fertility of a small sample of women in Czech republic

The objective of the thesis is to compare planned and realized fertility of a small sample of Czech women with finished fertility. A questionnaire was used to determine both planned and actual number of children, their gender, birth order and spacing and the age of woman at her first birth and her marital status. The realization of these events was compared and the reasons for failure were identified. A sample of 47 respondents anonymously completed the two-page questionnaire comprising of four parts -- plan, reality, personal characteristics and additional questions. Additional questions were related to contraception, abortions, religion, etc. The survey showed average number of 2.34 child per woman, whereas planned average number was 2.28. Further, on average 53 % of women fulfilled their plans regarding number of children, gender and order, spacing, age at the first birth and age at the first marriage. Finally, the correlation between observed number of children and planned number of children was analysed based on gathered data. The resulting model showed that the planned number of children one corresponds with realized number of children 1.47.
The effect of changes in the character of social benefit childbirth on development of natality in 2007-2012

The subject of the thesis is "The effects of changes in the character of social benefit childbirth on development of natality in 2007-2012". Childbirth is state social support, which is provided to women who gave birth to a child or who have taken child into kustody replacing parent´s care. Natality is demographic indicator that indecates the numer of births in a given period in a population. The theoretical part drala with history and development of childbirth and natality. This section was prepared on the basis of legislation, scientific literature and internet resources. Is explained here position of childbirth within the social security system and within the state social support, described legislative changes in character of social benefit childbirth from its introduction to present, economic costs to the childbirth. There is also described definition of natality, population policy, development of natality in Czech republic and prognosis of development for the future. In the practical part of the study, quantitative research was conducted, the task of which was to confirm or refute the pre-defined hypothese. On the the selected techniques of the research was the analysis of documents, and in its context, a secondary data analysis. There were used legislation, the statistics of the Czech Statistical Office and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs CR. The second technique was a questionnaire. There were 237 valid response. The results were analyse and processed using tables and graphs. Research has shown that natality in the Czech Republic in the years 2007-2012 responds to changes in the amount of the childbirth. A questionnaire survey did not meaning that the amount of the childbirth is higher with decreasing income families.
Reproductive strategies of Czech families in the period of 1948-1989

The bachelor's thesis deals with the reproductive strategies of Czech families. Firstly the term family is defined from the point of view of several authors. Then the basic functions of family are characterized. The thesis solves the values of traditional and modern family, it's roles and it reminds the changes of the family's character, too. It also entertains the brief summary of biological, economic, psychological and social factors which influence the reproductive behavior of people. In the next part of the thesis the reproductive strategies according to Pierre Bordieu are delimited. The following chapter deals with family during the communist regime. Then the thesis introduces the reader to a family policy and with the measures that are issued by the State to support the family life (the material security of children, the newlywed loans, financial relief for the families with children etc.). The focus is especially on the description of the selected financial incentives and laws that are devoted to the influence of policy on the demografic development and the summary of marriages, natality, divorce rate and abortion during the monitored period.
Stories of mothers with more children in the context of current population trends

This thesis deals with birth rates from the perspective of women with more children. The first part of the work presents the reasons for a decline in birth rates. In the second part we are examining which groups in the current population do not follow these trends. Subsequently an interview was conducted with eight female believers who each have four or more children. Women were asked how many children did they plan to have and which factors had influenced the number of children they actually have. Additionally, the woman were asked how the reasons that influenced the majority of the population in having a lower number of children affected them. From the interviews, four basic factors have arisen that played a role in the fact that these eight mothers have thirty-five children in total. These factors are: the life circumstances of these woman, their faith in God, their values and the possibility of self-realization. The following ethical chapter reflects on two of these factors.
Demographic changes of the Czech Republic as a social risk

This bachelor's thesis deals with demographic changes of the Czech Republic in connection with social risks, which were caused by these demographic changes. The thesis contains definitions of basic demographic indicators, i.e. natality, abortion rate, marriage rate, divorce rate, mortality, and it describes their development. The main focus of this development is placed on the period after the Velvet Revolution (1989) when the totalitarian regime was overthrown and the Czech society substantially individualized. According to statistical data of Czech Statistical Office the thesis presents prognoses of the demographic development of the Czech Republic till 2100. These prognoses interpret probable trends of the future population development. Important social risks, which follow from the development of demographic indicators, are outlined as well. These selected risks are supplemented with the proposal of measures, which lead to influencing of demographic development of the Czech Republic.
Issues of families with more than three childern

The aim of the thesis is to determine the motivation for the decision to have more than three children and highlight the perception of the specifics of these families, from the perspective of the individual members. The work consists of two parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part includes chapters on family and researches related to the topic of multiple parenting. In the practical part the results of qualitative research are presented. For a complete picture of the issue the results are presented as individual case studies of families. Subsequently, however, the findings are put into perspective so that it can respond to the chosen research questions.
