Methodological problems of the analyses of insect decline

In recent years, several studies reporting a severe decline of insect populations across several continents turned the spotlight on the problem of insect decline. However, the reported declining parameters may vary, and it is necessary to differentiate between declines in biomass, abundance, diversity, or geographical range reduction. This thesis aims to summarize how the conclusions about insect decline are shaped by the methods researchers use, especially by the variables they measure, emphasizing the potential methodological issues and limitations of the various facets of insect decline. Furthermore, we offer a brief digest of the most relevant potential biases and interpretative risks threatening population monitoring surveys. The review also provides concise insight into the state of knowledge on the matter of insect population trends. Modern trends in the design of frame machine

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of using modern methods of machine structures design, especially topological optimization. The first part describes the history of design, design methods in terms of approach to the technical problem and product development process. The second part discusses the various methods used in the design. The methods of topological optimization are compared and software solutions that enable topological optimization are described in detail. The fourth part deals with the dimensioning of components using topological optimization with a demonstration of important details on a specific example in Ansys Mechanical and MSC Apex Generative Design.

Strategy of posture stabilisation in stand on unstable base and under application of container with water

Title: Strategy of postural stabilisation using unstable surface and water barrel. Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the level of muscle actiavtion of choosen muscles during lunge on unstable surface or with using water barrel. Investigation of the postural strategy used during lunge orn unstable surface or with the water barrel and creation of methodology for measurment and data analysis. Methods: Into this pilot study, there were picked 5 people (athletes). Data for outcomes where used from 3 athletes. The measurement of level of muscle activation were done by surface electromyography over gluteus medius muscle and musculi multifidii bilaterally.For data procession was used software Origin 2012 Postural stability was measured through force plates by Kistler and gained data were procesed by using software programmes Bioware, MS Excel and Matlab. For data analysis from EMG measurement was used simple comparasion of outcomes. Stabilometry outcomes were analysed by statistical methode t-test. Results: The results indicate greater level of muscle activation during lunge with aquabag than lunge on unstable surface for most of the measured muscles. Russian and Czech Christmas Folk Traditions at the Lessons of Russian Language

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis and detailed description of the basic holidays of the civil year. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the study of the most popular folk traditions, religious rituals and beliefs of the Slavs, the way how Christian church (Catholic and Orthodox) influenced on the origin of fundamental traditions and rituals. There is also a description of the way the major Slavonic holidays are held. Czech and Russian traditions are compared in order to find some basic similarities and differences between them and to analyze the development of the traditions in historical context. Such issues as language pedagogy, intercultural language competence and how to use traditions at Russian lessons at primary and secondary schools are also emphasized in the work. The practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of some books used for teaching Russian language at Czech schools in order to find out how customs, folk traditions and holidays are described and presented. It also contains the research of the contemporary situation at Czech schools in the form of the testing of the teachers of Russian language and the students of elementary and secondary schools. Methodological Optimization of the Median Research Agency's Likely Voter Model Based on Findings from Czech Household Panel Study

The aim of this graduate thesis is proposing an optimization of the likely voter model parameter values utilized by Median (research agency) based on secondary analysis of data from the third wave and post-election follow-up of the Czech Household Panel Study 2017 and the Median omnibus survey. The theoretical chapter presents selected aspects of the analyzed likely voter model parameters. Secondary data analysis confirms hypotheses regarding the relationships of: 1) voter turnout, prior voting behavior and the intent to vote, 2) pre-election voting preferences and actual voting behavior, 3) reported prior voting behavior and time elapsed since the prior election. Hypotheses are confirmed, and analysis results are utilized in construction of an optimized likely voter model. This model's results are then compared to the results of four currently or formerly published likely voter models (MEDIAN, CVVM2017, CVVM2018, KANTAR), all computed using an identical dataset (September/October 2017 Median omnibus survey). Důraz na správnou anglickou výslovnost na základních školách

This diploma thesis deals with pronunciation teaching in English lessons in elementary education. The aims of this thesis are to describe how Czech curricular documents deal with pronunciation teaching within English lessons, to describe aspects of English pronunciation including contrast with the Czech language, to summarize history of English teaching from the pronunciation point of view, and to describe current approaches to teaching English pronunciation. Last but not least the aim of this thesis is also to highlight methods, objectives, models for English pronunciation teaching and their importance. The research is conducted in two ways - observing English lessons and questionnaire survey amongst teachers. Its aims are to find out whether teachers teach the correct pronunciation within their English lessons, how they are supported by used textbooks, what their aims for pronunciation teaching are, which aspects of English pronunciation they focus on and what methods they use for it. There is one more aim set within observing lessons and that is to briefly review the level of teachers' pronunciation.

His influence is usually perceived as very strong, but seems to have changed over time, and moreover weakened. A critical review of Facebook addiction research

Background: Facebook is the most popular social network nowadays. Concerns about possible negative consequences and possible addiction rise with its growing popularity. It is a very current topic not only for experts in the field, but also for parents. Results of studies bring various conclusions and the view on the Facebook addiction remains patchy. Aim: The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate the current state of Facebook addiction research on chosen studies. This work is focused on the criteria for diagnosis, methodology and identified risk features, the profile of a problematic user. Methods: This theoretical work uses qualitative approach and compares information from chosen studies. First, a summary was created from each study. Then extracted information were compared in categories according to research question of this work. Results: Evaluation of the studies showed that there is no clear way of diagnosing Facebook addiction and the phenomena itself is not clearly defined. The studies were very different in their prevalence estimates. A methodological issue of most of the chosen studies was using a self-reported questionnaire and a choice of non-representative participants.
