Mathematical modelling of mechanical systems
Kamarýt, Petr ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Šremr, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with mathematical modelling of mechanical systems. In the first two chapters Lagrangian mechanics and system of ordinary differential equations are summarized. In the third chapter equations of motion of double pendulum are derived. Approximative system, special cases and sensitivity of solution to non-linear system on initial conditions change are further analysed.
Quantification of hydrodynamic load on overflowed bridge deck using 2D numerical simulation
Pavlíček, Michal ; Hrdlička, Libor (referee) ; Špano, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on a quantification of hydrodynamic load of overflowed bridge deck. Solution was pursued by using two–dimensional numerical simulation of open channel flow in vertical plane created in ANSYS 15.0 software (modules: Workbench, Design Modeler, Meshing, Fluent). Values of drag force, lift force, moment, drag coefficient, lift coefficient and moment coefficient is result of computation. Various types of bridge decks were tested in relation to the degree of inundation (inundation ratio) and flow velocity. The thesis provides comparison of numerical simulation with physical experimental testing and result published in accessible resources.
Software for simulation of water treatment and water distribution processes
Pavliš, Jan ; Malaník,, Stanislav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This document aims on presentation of software focused on mathematic modelling in water treatment and water distrinbution. It consists of a list and descriptions of a number of programs which use static or long-term analysis in examining hydraulics in water distribution systems and also examine water quality parameters. There are other programs also included in this thesis that solve different types of analysis or water engineering structures. Then we can find elaborate descriptions of programs ARTS and Epanet and example analysis of both too. ARTS simulated waterhammer process and Epanet analysed water age through the water distribution system of a small village. This thesis brings basic overview of available programs designated for engineers of water treatment and distribution systems and is also the first step for my future Master´s thesis in which I would like to deeply focus on one of the programs.
Blood vessel segmentation and modeling in fundus images
Václavík, Jan ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Studies of the vascular tree in the retina have applications not only in the medical field but also biometrics. The mathematical description of the retinal vasculature could help facilitate and improve the diagnosis of certain diseases, their automatic localization or to accelerate the identification and verification of individuals. The aim is to design and develop an algorithm that will automatically approximate major retinal vessels by parabolic, linear and kvartic functions. The main part of this thesis is therefore devoted to this issue, including vascular segmentation using Gabor filters, morphological erosion, thresholding, skeletonization and the resulting optimization of the approximation model. The quality of the produced algorithm is discussed in the summary.
Study of use of natural raw products for building materials
Mačak, Dominik ; Kabelka, František (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
In this work is processed usefulness of natural materials for use as building material, which when incorporated to make the building expresses its favorable physical properties, particularly lower material consumption at production compared to other building materials used in construction, significant circumstance is their quick construction fast recoverability, calculations made in this thesis assess thermal comfort in summer, winter. Based on simulated calculation can go into the design of the real installation resolving to do the construction.
Design of highway tunnel Polana
Kaderka, Jan ; Ebermann,, Tomáš (referee) ; Veselý, Václav (advisor)
The subject topic of this thesis is to establish a suitable technique of tunnel construction using New Austrian Tunnelling Method with the help of mathematical modeling. Based on the mathematical modelling output the dimensioning primary moulding model was executed.
Production Process Analysis in Selected Enterprise
Sychrová, Jana ; Zatloukal, Petr (referee) ; Chvátalová, Zuzana (advisor)
Thesis „Production Process Analysis in Selected Enterprise” is focused on specific production processes especially their description, possible changes and subsequent evaluation of impact of changes. It includes theoretical bases for production processes, their improvements and investments to production processes. Moreover there are included methods of investment business evaluation and mathematical modeling. Selected company and specific selected process that theoretical methods are applied upon in Maple is in practical portion.

Advanced Computational Tool for Flue Gas Cleaning System Design in Thermal Processing of Waste
Kropáč, Jiří ; Klemeš,, Jiří (referee) ; Ucekaj, Vladimír (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis describes the development of a computational tool that allows sophisticated analysis and design of flue gas cleaning technologies for thermal treatment of waste. The assessment of a technological composition of the process in terms of energy consumption, temperature of the flue gas stream and ensuring the fulfilment of emission limits allows estimating the influence of flue gas cleaning system on parameters of an up-to-date waste incinerator. The work is based on an already created computational system. Its output will be integrated into a software system with a user-friendly interface. Creation of the computational system is based on the performed research in the given area. The work presents sets of operational values and relationships describing current technologies used to reduce harmful emissions in the flue gas from thermal treatment of waste.
Determination of the performance of the cooling circuit - cooling tower
Velešík, Aleš ; Hanzal, Luděk (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to determine the performance and description of the cooling circle in the cooling tower. In order to do that there was applied the linear regression approach in order to create structural empirical model of the cooling tower. The data obtained was analysed through QC expert software, which, if correct data applied, identifies suitable model for specific tower. The models created will be used for diagnostics of the cooling circles and as a comparison tool with other cooling towers in the future. Thus, the findings of this thesis are polynoms, which in thic technological setup characterise the models of the cooling towers.
