Mud
Součková, Anežka ; Stanová,, Magda (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
The practical part of this bachelor’s thesis is a book called Bahno. It contains drawings and texts which are metaphorically and factually connected to mud: as a matter in which dead organisms and plants decompose and which at the same time feeds the soil for new life to spring, as an endless search for answers on an endless amount of questions on the purpose and contents of existence. The period in which the texts and drawings were being created was a period of concentrated attention on the forms of mud, pop-cultural references and its other occurrences. A part of the intuitive mapping of mud was, among other things, a visit of a village called Bahno ("Mud"), taking samples of the local mud, viewing it under the microscope (taken photographs are contained in the book).

Prokeš, Josef ; Petráček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bouma, David (referee) ; Kaplánek, Michal (referee)
The Dying Church, Josef Prokeš Abstract The Dying Church Searching for the interpretative key to the position of Christianity in postmodern Europe The main subject of this thesis concerns the search for the way in which the Church in the Czech Republic should live in order to fulfil its mission, that is to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Czech theologian and Franciscan Zdeněk Bonaventura Bouše was chosen as the starting point, especially his texts on the Church. His texts are read according to the interpretive key, which was chosen to be the verse in the Gospel of John where Jesus declares that he is the Way, the Truth and the Life. In the first chapter, this scripture (John 14:6) is discussed and applied to the Church. This leads to a characterization of the Church that is on the way, striving for truthfulness and is full of real life. It is according to this key that Bouché's texts are read and interpreted in the second chapter. The main part of the work is the chapter three. Here the three dimensions of the Church (on the way, striving for truthfulness and full of life) are discussed in specific terms in relation to the situation of the Church in the Czech Republic. Keywords The Church, searching for the way, truthfulness, life, form of living, form of the Church, Practical theology

Jurkulák, Petr ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Brož, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of healing in the synoptic gospels. Illness and the suffering associated with it is a phenomenon that everyone encounters throughout their lives. We can look at illness and suffering from many different angles, and many scientific disciplines are studying this phenomenon. In my work, attention is focused on the meaning, meaning and perception of the disease from a human and theological point of view. The starting point of the work are excerpts from the synoptic gospels, which deal with the disease and the miraculous healing of the diseases of the human senses. Pericopes are divided according to the types of sensory impairments. Biblical events give us inspiration on how to perceive different life situations in accordance with God's purpose. These are model situations from which we draw lessons and inspiration in our life story. The introduction introduces the concepts of sin, suffering and illness from the perspective of the Old Testament and the New Testament. The next treatise then provides a view of the healing of the sick as a confirmation of the divinity of Jesus and the authenticity of Jesus' teaching. Healing by Jesus' disciples is also mentioned here. The main focus of the work is the exegesis of pericopes, ending with a summary of the main ideas of...

Kissová, Edita ; Hrdlička, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Lášek, Jan Blahoslav (referee)
The thesis wants to present a briefly documented history of the religious community CHC in Vodňany from 1925 until 1990. Evidence of the origin and existence of a religious community is given by the general history of the Vodňany town. The following part is a prerequisite for establishment of a religious community CHC. After WW I, the town of Vodňany was characterized by a great inclination to reform the Catholic Church. The spirit of great joy from new beginning was obvious from the founding of the religious community of the new CHC church. Those joyful emotions were immediately replaced by the responsibilities during construction of the church building and subsequent complications with the repayment of construction costs. The study also deals with the architecture of the church building. Members of the religious community were active. They focused not only on the running of the community, but developed cultural (Theater) and sports activities as well. The testimony to these activities was testified by the Youth Union of CHC and the Zeyer - Theater Association. During of WW II, the activities of the religious community were limited to the bare essentials. The years after war meant taking a new breath. However, the recovery from war did not last long. The advent of the totalitarian regime brought...
Donated existence: Theological analysis of "élan vital" in Henri Bergson's work
Filip, František ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
The diploma thesis "Donated existence: Theological analysis of ‚élan vital' in Henri Bergson's work" presents an analysis of the notion of "vital impetus" of the French philosopher Henri Bergson in order to examine the potential contibution of this concept for contemporary theology and for human society itself. The composition of the thesis consists of five basic parts that correspond to the principal chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the life of Henri Bergson. The theme of the second chapter is a general introduction to the method of Bergson and the main ideas of Bergson's work. The third chapter focuses directly on the concept of "vital impetus" as it appears and is gradually developed in Bergson's work. The subject of the fourth chapter is a summary of the reception of the idea of "vital impetus". Based on the theological reception, the final chapter examines the potential contribution of this concept to today's theological discussion and the life of human society. The work concludes that although the concept of "vital impetus" is based on the scientific findings that have been already overcome, it can remain constantly inspiring if we reflect what the author wanted to express through him about the reality of our world.
