The importance of predisposition examination of late Alzheimer´s disease using methods of molecular biology
KOPAČKOVÁ, Michaela
Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. It affects up to 70% of cases from approximately 38 million people worldwide suffering from some type of dementia. Alzheimer's disease usually affects patients over 65 years of age, however, there are exceptions. It is presumed that the number of people with Alzheimer's disease will grow constantly in the future too. Its etiopathogenesis is not yet fully understood, that is why it is important to investigate dementia further, whether in terms of specific environmental and genetic risk factors, or in view of the economic burden for the society. The presented bachelor's thesis summarises findings about Alzheimer's disease, its neurobiology, etiology, diagnostics and genetic predispositions, in particular the ApoE, APP, PSEN1 and PSEN2 genes. The presence of epsilon 4 gene allele for apolipoprotein E provably contributes to the increased risk of the late form of Alzheimer's disease. On the contrary, mutation in APP, PSEN1 and PSEN2 genes are connected with Alzheimer's disease with the early onset of the disease, before 65 years of age. The objective in the experimental part was to manage the practical isolation of DNA from peripheral blood and buccal swab, preparation and execution of PCR reaction, detection of PCR products by gel electrophoresis and independent examination of ApoE gene by a certified CVD StripAssay Kit from ViennaLab company (PentaGen). The work also includes the optimisation of another molecular genetic method for the detection of variant alleles of ApoE gene. This method was carried out by a certified DiaPlexQTM ApoE Kit from SolGent Co., Ltd. The principle of detection in this case is based on real-time PCR.
Proposal of a Companion Mobile App for a Web Portal
Kovařík, Ondřej ; Štepník, Štefan (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on developement of mobile app for cross country skiiers. It follows, step by step, the process of developement; starting with analysis, through design, up to premises of future developement. The app is being developed for iOS platform. The thesis also discusses proposed means of monetization.
Crowd-Sourcing Games for Annotations
Šujan, Tomáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to develop and implement a gaming application for the operating system Android, the purpose of which is to gather image annotations. The main purpose of this application is to simplify and improve this process, to extend the data range of these annotations and to provide entertainment for its users. The implementation of the application was processed in programming languages Android for the client segment and PHP for the server.
Design and Implementation of a Mobile Application for the Microsoft Windows Platform
Dvořák, Marek ; Feifer, Jekub (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the process of development of mobile application on the Microsoft Windows platform. The described process covers all stages from the analysis of the target market through design and development of the application to the plan of publishing the app in the Windows Store. Development of the mobile part of Windows 8.1 Universal App using the C# programming language and XAML markup language is integral part of this thesis.
Development of mobile application in game industry
Horňák, Miroslav ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis describes process of design and development of multiplayer online mobile game. Including ways of monetisation, setting a game goals and design of user interface and game environment. It also shows potential problems which can occur while developing this kind of a game. All this is demonstrated on real mobile game project targeting all major mobile operating systems. Inseparable part of this thesis is also summary of mobile operating systems and tools currently used in mobile game development.
The development of a mobile application and its publishing in the online store
TRUHLÁŘ, Jakub
This work tries to describe phases of the mobile application development, from a concept through actual application development, to publishing in the online store. The beginning of the work describes the devices, the operating system and the frameworks for 2D iOS game development. Also the Sprite Kit framework and the common terminology are introduced. The practical part is about development of the game itself with Sprite Kit framework in Xcode IDE. The reader is familiarized with submitting the app to the App Store and also with the approval process. At the end the thesis is aimed to parts of the web tool for developers called iTunes Connect with statistics and game versions.
