What is it laser and how does it work
Zemánek, Pavel
The principles of laser and laser applications will be explained to a broad spectrum of attendees.
Generation of exact lengths by the use of optical comb
Šmíd, Radek
We present a method genaration of precise length using optical frequency comb stabilized to atomic reference clock. Optical frequency comb are able to tranfer the exact time stability from atomic clock reference to optical path measurement. We used Fabry-Perot cavity with ultra-low expansion material placed into the vacuum chamber. The exact length of Fabry-Perot cavity in vacuum is used as a reference for measurement of refractive index of ambient air.
Optical tweezers and applications
Šerý, Mojmír ; Ježek, Jan ; Jákl, Petr ; Jonáš, Alexandr ; Zemánek, Pavel
Optical tweezers is very popular tool in many areas of science, namely in medicine, biology and physics. This micromanipulation tool is contactless, sterille and could be used as very sensitive force sensor.
Raman microspectroscopy of living cells
Samek, Ota ; Pilát, Zdeněk ; Jonáš, Alexandr ; Zemánek, Pavel
Here we demonstrate the capacity of the spatially resolved Raman microspectroscopy for the analysis of selected living cells.
Interference coatings for laser optics
Pokorný, Pavel
An overview of applications of interference multilayers for laser optics, in particular their design, deposition and measurement is presented.
Laser interferometry with optical fibers and fiber Bragg gratings
Mikel, Břetislav
Optical fibers and fiber Bragg grating can improve using of standard laser interferometry methods in industry applications. Especially fiber Bragg gratings can improve frequency parameters of laser diodes in the laser interferometers. These parameters increase resolution and measurement range of the laser interferometer.
Lasers in the metrology of optical frequencies
Lazar, Josef
Review contribution dealing with metrology of time and length, about etalons of optical frequencies and present development and future of this field of research.
Optically bound matter
Karásek, Vítězslav ; Brzobohatý, Oto ; Šiler, Martin ; Chvátal, Lukáš ; Trojek, Jan ; Zemánek, Pavel
The interaction of laser fields with micro-objects is connected with mutual scattering between the particles and change of field momentum. The resulting very complex forces may lead to a self-arrangement of interacting particles and a creation of optically bound matter. We study this problem both theoretically and experimentally.
Laser photopolymerization of microstructures
Ježek, Jan ; Zemánek, Pavel
Laser photopolymerization is a method for creating complex three-dimensional objects with submicron details. A few millimeters long optical fiber with a diameter of about 2 .mu.m can by created by non-diffraction bessel beam.
Investigation of dynamic of the laser welding process and its control
Jedlička, Petr ; Řeřucha, Šimon
Project is oriented to reserch, study and development of physical process during laser welding and automated feedback control to get optimal and stable parameters of welding.
