Translating as a component of Pavla Moudrá's writing
Dolečková, Leona ; Heczková, Libuše (referee) ; Kalivodová, Eva (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on three areas in which Pavla Moudrá attained her cultural objectives, namely in the context of public activity, journalism and translation. Although the scope of the thematic areas to which Moudrá devoted herself during her life was relatively wide, it is possible to identify a number of areas which may be considered as being of fundamental importance for her, and which are also reflected most clearly in her writings and translations - spiritualism, the social position of women, the peace movement, the protection of nature and animals and the education of children and young people. In these Moudrá was engaged first and foremost as a conscious propagator of spiritual values, in particular on the basis of the ideas of the theosophical movement, which especially at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century became a domain for women and their public activities.

Reflection of fascism in the chosen German pieces of prose
Behem textové interpretace tyto aspekty zduraznuji a komentuji. Každý spisovatel prodelal s národnesocialistickou diktaturou jinou osobní zkušenost a tudíž hodnotil tehdejší pomery...

Kulhánková, Kamila ; Liška, Petr (referee) ; Horáček, Tomáš (advisor)
RESUMÉ CONTRACTING ENTITY OF PUBLIC CONTRACT The aim of this thesis is to describe and represent the current legal regulation of contracting entity of public contract, as well as to highlight some of the key judgments of the ECJ and decisions and opinions of the Office for the Protection of Competition in relation to the contracting entity of public contract. In this thesis, I have tried to focus on the general definition of a contracting entity of public contract and the descriptions of different types of contracting entity of public contract - a contracting authority, a subsidized contracting entity, as well as a sector entity. Undoubtedly an interesting area, which is also the subject of this thesis, is the centralized procurement. Regarding the fact that this institution is not very widespread in the Czech Republic, I have joined the description of a central public procurement in selected European countries to this chapter. The conclusion of this thesis is devoted to a brief outline of the current amendment to Act No. 137/2006 Coll., on Public Contracts, as amended, which is currently at the beginning of the legislative process. In this final chapter, I have also joined some of my thoughts to the legal aspects in relation to the contracting entity of public contract. Personally, I believe that the...

Neumanová, Monika Catherine ; Munková, Gabriela (advisor) ; Hejzlarová, Eva (referee)
The diploma thesis "Financial support to the families with children in the different types of welfare state" deals with the direct governmental financial support to the families with children in the Czech Republic. The thesis provides with a brief survey of the system of these tools in the states analyzed with the thesis, i.e. United Kingdom as a residual welfare state, France as a corporative welfare state and Sweden as a social democratic welfare state. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the comparative analysis of the systems of the benefits in these states. Based on the results of comparative analysis, recommendations for measures and changes in the current Czech system are made. The recommendations reflect the needs and priorities of current family policy in the Czech Republic. The final part of the thesis was focused on detailed analysis of selected tools with a view to evaluate to which extent these tools contribute to the desired income equality between families with children and without children. Detailed adjustments in the system of the benefits, which were identified and suggested in the thesis, were evaluated by chosen experts in the given area. Final conclusions and recommendations were formulated.

Conflict-of-interests in municipal representatives' delicts
Petráková, Lenka ; Potůček, Martin (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
The study is aiming to identify the problematical areas in municipal representatives' decision-making together with the identification of their conflict of interests. Ethics, legislation and public control (or municipal community in broader terms) are defined as constituents of municipal representatives' conduct. Municipal representatives as actors of decision-making process follow different values and interests, their ethical competences might vary, and other group interests and their moral obligations influence them too. Their behavior and conduct take place within conflict of these values, interests and obligations. The current legislation, nor other institutional arrangements reflect ethical standards and do not protect the public interest sufficiently. The public control fails too; the right to participate in the public life is not understood as a civic duty. The seriousness of the situation is exemplified in the analysis of Czech municipal representatives' delicts referring to their public duties. In majority of cases, the failure of morals applies supported by nepotism and clientelism that limit public control. It can be stated that the municipality size structure affects the public control; a smaller municipality shows lower citizens' effectiveness. The conclusion of the study offers recommendation...

Hořice passion plays - the trancendent's neighborhood expresion or leisure activity?
NOVOTNÝ, Ivan
This Bachelor´s dissertation discusses the origin of the passion plays in Europe and in the Czech republic and focuses mainly on the village of Hořice na Šumavě. It describes the inception of the passion plays with regards to the Christian festival of Easter and its basis for European theatrical traditions. The passion plays´ genesis was, at the early history, considered a solely religious activity that reflected the transcendence of ordinary people indigenous to the Bohemian Forest. Over the time and by virtue of deconsecration of society, this religious activity transformed to regional leisure time activity.

The Determinants of Software Piracy in European Countries
Kozlova, Alina ; Janíčko, Martin (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
This thesis's main focus is to test the influence of selected growth factors on the rate of software piracy in 25 European countries. The model uses the following determinants: GDP per capita, the Gini coefficient, GNI per capita, gross domestic spending on research and development, the share of labor force with tertiary education, index of economic freedom, intellectual protection rights index and internet coverage. Based on data for the years 2007 - 2011 I present 5 econometric models, which are estimated with the help of a panel regression. It turns out that economic factors such as GDP and GNI per capita, have a negative impact on the piracy rate and annual growth of internet users supports increasing level of piracy. The other determinants do not significantly affect the piracy of software, but the negative direction of the growth of the workforce educational level on piracy was confirmed.

Models and tools for validation of biodiversity in the Dřevnice catchment
Cudlín, Ondřej ; Pechanec, V. ; Štěrbová, L. ; Cudlín, Pavel
We use several GIS tools to assess and predict the changes in biodiversity in the Dřevnice catchment. First,\nwe created GIS layer, consisted of natural and near to nature habitats (system Natura 2000) and Corine\nLand Cover for more anthropically influenced habitats. The Land Change Modeller was used to predict the\ndevelopment of land cover on the basis of comparison of data in several historical periods. To determine\nthe areas with high threat to biodiversity we created firstly another GIS layer of habitats with low\nnaturalness. Afterwards we used the model GLOBIO 3, which works with five basic driving forces (habitat\nnaturalness, infrastructure presence, distance from communications, nitrogen pollution load and\nmodelled climatic change parameters). GLOBIO 3 uses for each layer the MSA indicator (mean species\nabundance per area), which reflects the worldwide threat to selected endangered species. With regard to\nthe conditions of the Czech Republic and non‐availability of the nationwide database of finding data on\nprotected plant and animals, we should change this indicator for MHV (mean habitat value per area). Last\nGIS layer enables us to select up to now unprotected areas with a high value of biodiversity and naturalness of habitats for environmentally friendly agriculture and forestry management by model Marxan. The model combines the existing categories of natural reserves, biodiversity values (expressed in CZK according to Biotope Valuation Method) and the penalty for any nature degradation due to inadequate protection, abundance and distribution of species of interest (in this case the valuable and\npreserved habitats). Simultaneously it aims for a spatial compactness of design. The output is a layeridentifying the refugia for preservation and spreading of wild plants and animals to the cultural landscape,\nespecially with regard to climate change.

Tax audit
Amrich, Peter ; Boháč, Radim (advisor) ; Marková, Hana (referee)
The aim of my thesis is the evaluation of tax audit issues and eventually to propose changes de lege ferendae. At the same time I apply the principles of tax audit in its selected aspects. The main aim of the thesis - a complex evaluation of the tax audit - achieved through partial commentaries and evaluations, which are reflected in the titles of each chapter and by using scientific methods such as descriptive method, the method of deduction and applications, as well as the synthesis method and the method of subjective criticism. The logical structure of my thesis is accurately represented by the structure of its seven chapters and several subchapters and its names. In the first chapter I discuss the institute of tax audit in general. In the second chapter I discuss the principles that need to be applied to institute of tax audit. The third chapter deals with stages of tax audits. The fourth chapter is reserved to protection during and after tax audit. Criminal context of tax audit is discussed in fifth chapter. Statistics of tax audit and my conclusions deducted from the statistic data are focused in the sixth chapter. The case law on the tax audit is focused in the seventh chapter. Processing of each chapter is accompanied by my subjective evaluations of individual aspects of the tax audit,...
