Benešová, Tereza ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Vítečková, Michaela (referee)
This bachelor thesis, titled "Errors in child rearing and its influence on the development of the individual", focuses on family, raising children and possible mistakes in child rearing that can occur. The theoretical part talks about family, raising children and the development of an individual. Family and child rearing are the main focus of this thesis because of the close relationship of them to the subject of errors in child rearing. There is a whole chapter devoted to the errors in child rearing resulting from a lack of parenting which is then reflected in the stunted development of the individual. At the end of the thesis there is a diagnostics review - test ADOR, created by Prof. Z. Matejcek and Prof. P. Rican. This test uncovers attitudes, actions and practices of parents that is made visible in their teenage and adolescent children and gives an opportunity to uncover some errors that parents make in raising their children.

Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis
BÁRTOVÁ, Adéla
The thema of this bachelor thesis is "Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis". The severity of multiple sclerosis incrementaly increases as the incidency of this disease - globaly and in the Czech Republic as well - rapidly grows year by year. Multiple sclerosis -as an autoaggressive chronic disease - is still incurable, however, plenty of changes in the diagnosis and the therapy have emerged during last years. This illness afflicts mostly persons during the productive period of their lifes. The patient is often without clinical symptoms during the first few years, which, until recently, misled to an idea that there is no urgent need to apply a long-term medical treatment. Today it is evident that only early executed diagnosis and early started therapy afterwards can prevent from the permanent neurologic impairment of the patient. Besides the pharmacological treatment, there is also physiotherapy which helps patients to live an active and valuable life. The point of this paper is to illustrate a complex view of this problem. The first, theoretical part deals with multiple sclerosis as a whole, with the goal to summarize the latest knowledge and findings about this disease. It describes the potential causes of the origin of the disease, its occurrence, particular symptoms, development of the disease, different types of the disease and the possible diagnosis together with the differential diagnosis. The ending of the theoretical part informs about the therapy comprising the pharmacological treatment and the complications it may bear, and the rehabilitation treatment summarizing therapy of all symptoms, which can appear. Nowadays, it is possible to find different approaches in the rehabilitation of multiple sclerosis. But according to many physiotherapy studies those methodologies, which are based on the neurophysiological fundamentals, were already very positively aplied on the patients. It is an objective of the practical part of my thesis to introduce one of these methodologies. The impact of an aplication of the individual physiotherapy, which utilizes the neurophysiological findings, can be evaluated by comparing the results from the entering and exit. This work is conceived as a case study in the form of casuistry. Qualitative research based on the data collection was chosen to verify the efficiency of the aplied physiotherapy. Data was obtained by interviews, observation, analyses of medical records and kinesiology testing. An entering and exit examination, comprised from the set of tests, were performed after the six months therapy to assess changes in the clinical conditions of the patient. These tests allows the therapist to comprehensively evaluate the effect of the rehabilitation on the patients with the central disabilities, particularly on the patients with multiple sclerosis. Tests were selected regarding the clinical signs of the disease. There were examinations done to test the balance, dysmetria, dysdiadochokinesia, scales of postural reactions, walking, muscle strength and spasticity. The test of grabbing ability was done to examinate the light motor skills and goniometry was aplied to determine the joint's range of mobility. The results of the research proven, that the individual physiotherapy employing findings in neurophysiology together with aerobic therapy and other techniques appropriately selected with the respect to the actual complications of the patient has a positive effect on the overall condition of the patient. This bachelor thesis can serve as a theoretical basis for the teaching needs or as an informational source for all, who are interested in the multiple sclerosis disease issue. It can also be an inspiration for physiotherapists on how to proceed in the rehabilitation of patients with multiple sclerosis.

ŠVEJDOVÁ, Michaela
The main issue of this thesis is stress situations, to be more precise stress situations in adolescence. The theoretical part consists of general characteristics of adolescence focused on important changes and fundamental basis of this period of human life. Then I tried to characterize situations we consider stressful for example stress, frustration and conflict. In next chapter I am searching for possible solutions. At the end of the theoretical part I mention techniques which are helpful when fighting stress. The second, practical, part contains a small research made to get known which situations adolescents consider as stressful, how they cope with them and where they search for support. This research has been put into practice in two grammar schools and in one lower grade of high school (especially gymnasium). For the practical part I used questionnaires.

Stress related to nurturing children with special needs
TOMÁŠKOVÁ, Zuzana
Birth of a disabled child is always an extraordinary event in our life. A family is facing the situation without a prearranged screenplay. Not only the special needs differ from common children´s needs but also developmental conditions are completely different. Parents can feel disappointed and dependent on the assistance from others. The situation is new and unfamiliar for them and therefore they learn how to improve the approach to their child, themselves or the whole world. The theme ot this thesis is ?How parents manage to bring up the child with special needs..?It should bring authentic information about the situation of parents with a disabled child, statements about their problems and needs. It is based on the qualitative research. I collected data and information through semi-structured interviews with parents who have a child with such a special need. In the theoretical part of the thesis I tried to go from a general explanation to a detailed descriptoin of the topic. In the introductory chapters I deal with the issue of stress and burden coping. The next issue is the family, its function, families with disabled children and last but not least inappropriate educational approaches. The chapter about burden coping is an integral part of this thesis. Here I describe individual phases of accepting a disabled child and mention the topic of a social stigma as well. The fourth chapter is about the possibility how to support such affected families not only from the familly members but also from other friends. The last but one chapter describes the burnout, its symptoms and risk factors. A mother usually stays at home with this child and takes care of him. The disabled child might require full-time care which is very demanding and grueling. That is why the mother could be compromised by the burnout. In the last part I tried to specify problems of the families I interviewed. I describe a spinal muscular atrophy, an epilepsy, a mental retardation and its classification, a motor disability for example poliomyelitis. In the empirical part of the thesis I define research objectives. 1) to find out what is the biggest burden for parents with a disabled child 2) to find out how parents manage to accept this situation 3) to find out what is the biggest support for parents You can find the responses in the part ?Interpretation of research results?. The largest burden for parents with a disabled child is to accept the disability of their child. All the respondents find this period as the most distressing and demanding time in their child care. Surprisingly, the second largest burden of parents is to handle with different specialized institutions which are supposed to help them. The respondents found the biggest help and support in their families, husbands and also by communication with other similar families . According to parents there is a lack of written information about the disability and unsufficient availability of such information in Czech language.

Physiotherapeutic facilities of the epicondylalgia treatment

Economic and Social Conditions in Kostelec nad Labem in the 50's and 60's of the 17th Century
