Aesthetics of Camp

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of camp and its manifestations in modern western culture. The aim of this thesis is to indentify the signifiant features typical for camp as an aesthetic stance and for camp as an object. Attention is paid to the relationship of the camp and kitsch, and their differences and similarities. The relationship of camp to the high and low art or dandyism is also examined. The main text used for this thesis is an essay "Notes on Camp" by Susan Sontag.
Relation between avant-garde, mass art and kitsch

In my thesis, I will deal with the subject of the relation of high and mass art in the context of the issue of kitsch. The primary sources of my work will be Apocalypse Postponed by Umberto Eco, an essay Avant-Garde and Kitsch by Clement Greenberg and Estetika na přelomu milénia by Pavel Zahrádka. The main subject of the work will be examining the impact of avant-garde to kitsch and mass art and make a structural analysis of the kitsch on the background of the theory about social and cultural layers.
Christian Art in the work of The Art group

The thesis deals with the working possibilities for the young school kids in the arts group. The goal is to teach the kids to recognize the arts and cultivate their sensitivity for the art in harmony with the goals of The General Educational Program for the basic education. It is offered to recognize the arts in historical, artistic and ethical context based on the Christian Arts. Besides the explanation of the basic terms, which are important for the work with the works of art in the Arts group, there is described the development of the Christian arts from the beginning of Christianity, through Medieval times and the Renaissance to the present in the context of the specific period. Further there are described the young school kids and the activities of the group with a definition of its main goals. The following goals of the arts group are emphasized: the development of the sensitivity for the art, the understanding of the theme of the piece of art and work with it, the real results of the work with the piece of art for instance different tasks on the topics of works of art.
Development of cultural needs, education towards aesthetic taste and possibilities of motivation in the framework of spar time pedagogy for pre-school level.

The subject of this bachelor?s thesis is the development of pre-school children cultural needs and motivation towards taste. The key words of pedagogy and spare-time pedagogy, as well as education, are presented in the first part of this thesis. The second part of this thesis presents the importance of culture and its impact on Arts. Aesthetics as the science of beauty and further specification of the words taste and kitsch are also mentioned. The third part presents the preschool age children, their socialising, physical development and creative expression, including the symbols of their drawings and the importance of colours. The last part presents aesthetics education and development of creativity.
Economic aspects of pop culture

The work is focused on finding the difference between high and low culture as a primary distribution in comparison with cultural theorists, critics and social scientists dealing with this issue. The aim is to find out what makes each culture to its choice of recipients, which marketing ways and other factors affecting the recipients and instruments through which this happens. Reported conclusions should analyze the economic substance of pop culture, charting its future development because of society's economic decisions.
The Conception of Art and Kitsch in Aesthetics of Tomas Kulka

In her bachelor thesis, student focuses in problem of kitsch and its relationship to art in the conception of Tomas Kulka. After introducing Kulka's theory in his book Art and Kitsch, whose core is definitional analysis of this concept, finished by setting the necessary and together sufficient conditions for its aplication, she compares his conception with the other selected systematic approaches, especially with the theory of kitsch by Umbero Eco.
Perception of Art and its Practise in the Free Time Activities with Children and Young People

The subject of diploma paper was anallysis of perception children and youth related to visual art. In the first chapter of theoretic part diploma paper I explain definitions related to the subject, i.e. that is fine art, aesthetics, culture, kitsch and relation of this species to the human being. In next chapters I acte problems, definition, delimitation of the odd time and I explain possibilities of transmission visual art to children and young people. The theoretic part of diploma paper is dedicated to possibilities of confrontation children and youth people with the visual art through various cultural institutions. This part of diploma paper is ended with basic dividing of spare-time activitity organizations. The practical part of diploma paper is dedicated to visual art project {\clq}qWho knows Piaristic square``, {\clq}qConversation`` and {\clq}qEntities in the nature``. Visual art expression of subjective experience evoked by visual perception of concrete image is the aim of this project. The project is intended for the children and youth in age between 8 and 24 years. I confront by means of projects both various components of visual art (painting, sculpture and architecture) and various movement epoch (gothic style, baroque and modern style). I wanted find the way how to transmit visual art to children and youth enjoyable, educational with aesthetic value. The end of the diploma paper summaries pieces of knowledge and perceptions from the visual art courses and projects.
Development of Cultural Properity, Upbringing for Taste and Possibility Motivation in Frame Pedagogy Free Time

My final thesis describes ways of development of cultural properity, trainings of mind and possibilities of motivation in frame pedagogy free time specialized on a Primary School. Theoretical part contains and explains terms culture, palate (taste), elegance, arts, motivation and free time. Also specify primary school education, creative discourse, in this period and shows the use plastic art in public nursery like one of the key options of spending free time. Practical part focus on a project of plastic arts divided into creative activities realized in the public nursery of the pupils of primary school. Each activity containt detailed motivation, described procedure, conclusion and evaluation of children. This part contains also relationships and dependences between all cultural subjects such as arts, dramatization, music, and gymnastics. Explain as well the structure, application for needs of primary school. Particularity of the work of children in the age of primary school is creativity, spontaneity, unprompted action, enthusiasm, positive stance. When the children are properly instructed they cooperate with their equal, tolerate them and are very help full to each other.

The subject of bachelor's thesis is to find appropriate definition of kitsch and determination of his role in contemporary popular music. Theoretic part summarizes definitions of kitsch and its relation to art and society, mainly focusing on the theory of kitsch by philosopher and aesthetician Tomáš Kulka. Practical part of the thesis focuses on the area of populat music. The effort of the practical part is to analyze economic success of kitsch on contemporary music industry with main focus on american ( most significant nowadays) industry.
