Project Evaluation and Design of Project Management Methodology

The diploma thesis focuses on project management – managing of software development activities. It explains a basic terms of given issue and it also deals with advantages and disadvantages of some known practices and methods which are often followed when developing software. The practical part includes an analysis and evaluation of concrete project. This project is then the base for designing an optimization of software development methodology. Designed optimization will be able to help manage similar projects in future.

This diploma thesis deals with the development of gamified information systems. The literary research focuses on the issues of gamification, methods of development information systems and their architectures. In our own work, selected technologies and architectures are applied. The main content of our work is about micro-services development process from the user interface, analysis and design to the database. Subsequently, the work includes testing, evaluation and proposed improvements.
Software Support for Projects Management

This project describes design and implementation of project management information system support, mainly for IT organizations. It includes informations about basic facts in project management and mainly about Rational Unified Process, the modern metodology which is well usefull in today changeable environment. System is implemented in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with support of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and consists of ASP.NET presentation and of DLL library written in C# language. Information system provides support for project planing and management. System work in standard internet browsers and is very usefull for geografically devided teams.
CRM System for Return Merchandise Authorization Processing with Support of Bar Codes

This graduation theses treats of the CRM systém for return mechandise authorization processing with support of the bar codes for the organization Digilive s.r.o. The systém should improve and modernize work of the employees and the clients in the process of attending the sales return. The systém will contain two kinds of the users. The client can make sales returns and view data about his sales returns. The employee can edit all data about the sales returns and the clients. The employee segment is implemented with the five-dimension model access data.

OpenUP project management methodology and software configuration for her support

The objective of this thesis is to familiarize readers with the project management methodology, specifically more in detail with OpenUP and RUP methodologies, and reveal the potential of software support for the methodology in general, with some specific parts being focused on OpenUP methodology. The benefit of this thesis is to map the current software offerings to support project management, finding the possible combinations of the integration software to optimize the infrastructure to facilitate the job of management and software development projects. First, the thesis deals with the allocation of project management methodology, familiarization with existing methodologies and a rough description, with two separate chapters that focus on more detailed description of the RUP and OpenUP. The second part deals with software support separation into categories, finding tools that cover different categories by its functionality and finally possibilities of integration between tools.
Historical development and comparison of chosen methodologies for managing ICT projects

Bachelor thesis deals with problems of ICT project management methodologies. The thesis sets out a total of three objectives. The first objective is to identify, characterize and describe uniformly chosen methodologies for managing ICT projects and to map their historical development. The second objective is to compare chosen methodologies according to set of specific criteria. The third objective is to select a suitable methodology for the specified model of ICT departments or companies based on their organizational culture and type of solved projects. In the theoretical part of this thesis basic concepts relating to the issue are defined at first and then chosen methodologies are identified and described uniformly. In the analytical part of the thesis the specific criteria are determined and the methodologies are compared on the base of them. There are also shown and justified reasons for selection of suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company. Author's own contribution to the problem lies mainly in the comparison of chosen methodologies and, in a reasoned selection of a suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company.
Risk Management in Large Projects

This thesis deals with Risk Management within large projects. It is still a hot topic, because risk is an inherent part of any project and significantly affects its outcome. That is why it is paied more and more attention to Project Risk Management. This thesis is written in collaboration with a renowned multinational IT company delivering these large projects. One of the project factors is uniqueness. Conditions in the world are rapidly changing and companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage in their own IT. Uniqueness is obviously very important factor of IT innovation and that is the reason, why many companies implement their changes as a project. These projects must be directed to a succesfull outcome, therefore many methodologies was created to manage it. Current project are under greater pressure on the duration and cost of supply while maintaining high quality, which in practice means that to deliver successful projects is becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, there should be greater emphasis on risk management, so an event that may threaten the success of the project. It is needed to learn and look for better and more efficient ways of Risk Management. The main scope of this thesis is to compare two project management methodologies (Prince 2 and RUP -- Rational Unified Process) with internal methodology of chosen IT company from the perspective of risk management and then to compare the project practices with the methodologies, to find any anomalies or errors and provide suggestions for improvement. Another objective is to find out and describe project risk management trends, and introduce some tools to support project risk management.
