The Ministers of Christian Churches and their (Un)Married Life in the Czech Republic

The presented work focuses on the topic of priests of selected Christian Churches, and their potential possibility to live in marriage. In order to view pastors comprehensively, it is essential to define who a priest is, how it is possible to become one, how to terminate this status, what the rights, duties and punishments for the priests are and what hierarchy each Church has. A historical overview of the priests' celibacy in the history of the Church and specifically in Czech history is also included in the diploma paper, as well as theology of celibacy. Roman-Catholic Church, Orthodox Church in the Czech Lands and Slovakia and Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren are selected for the purpose of this work.

History of a Roman Catholic parish in Jistebnice in period of years 1945 - 2015

This diploma thesis deals with history of Roman Catholic parish in Jistebnice in the period from 1945 till present. The first part of the thesis describes earlier history of the town Jistebnice and its parish. Other parts are concerned with postwar history of the parish. The thesis is organized chronologically according to particular priests who administered the parish. The key political events from the history of the Czech Republic, which had impact on the life of the Roman Catholic Church as well as the parish in Jistebnice, are discussed in the beginning of each chapter.

Spiritual service in the home for the elderly in Jindřichův Hradec

The spiritual care in all Elderly Houses is perceived as a part of total care of clients. Contemporary holistic interpretation distinguish biological, psychological, social and spiritual dimension of human person. All these spheres form a complex, are inseparable and influence each other. The duties of care of clients are characterized not only as a care of biological needs but also as a help in solving social, psychological needs and an assistance in filling of the spiritual needs. The spiritual needs of each person and it would be a failure to think, that the spiritual needs are only for believer human people. The rate of satisfying these needs is changing during client´s life and present foreign researches indicate, that the need of spiritual is increased in old age and in illness. The clients can this spiritual care seek out when they need stimulation in exacting part of their life, they want to talk about spiritual or existential topics or when they are interested in various churches. In some countries is already common that the hospital employs own priest or a hospital chaplain. In our republic the installation of hospital chaplain is also started to discuss, even some hospitals employ the chaplains. The target of this bachelor´s work is to map the offer of spiritual care in Elderly House in Jindřichův Hradec, if these services are used there and which the most frequent spiritual services the clients use. Work found out which the spiritual services are interested and how many clients use them. And also from the clergyman´s side indicated which the spiritual services are offered to the clients and from the side of the social worker found out that the majority of clients, who are coming to the Elderly House, is informed, that the spiritual services are running there and he or she can use them. The hypotheses were verified by quantity study. In order to find patient´s interest of satisfying their spiritual needs was used the method of controlled talk and the same method was used in the case of talk with the clergyman and the social worker.

The church administration in the Josephian period and the influence of the Patent of Toleration on the Czech rural area

The bachelor thesis which is focused on the period with the focal point in the year 1781 follows up mainly the memoirs of burghers and priests of Pelhřimov in the pre-toleration and the early toleration period enriched with the religious sources and sources of the town council. The crucial aim of this thesis is to chart the influence of the Patent of Toleration and the reaction to its issue. The first chapter deals with the space in the triangle defined with the terms: religion, state and church. On the basis of the works by Zdeněk R. Nešpor, Eva Melmuková, Rudolf Zubera , Bohumil Zlámal and others I try to fill in this space with the mosaic of the chosen aspects of the human being and to look into the lives which are noted in the memoirs of the burgers of Pelhřimov, namely Filip Ignác Dremsa and Antonín Štěpán, the vicar Vincenc Josef Rubricius, the dean Vojtěch Holý and the pastor Jan Szalatnay from Moraveč. This is the main interest of the second chapter. Their issued memoirs became the basis source for this bachelor thesis, futhermore, the archives of the Office of Vicar in Pelhřimov, the Parish Office Nová Cerekev and the Archive of the town Pelhřimov saved in the State Districtual Archive Pelhřimov. These sources, together with the issued works concerning this topic, enabled me to look at the Patent of Toleration from a different point of view and the perception of it by the ordinary people at the turn of the 18th and 19th century.

The utraquist clergyman and his opinion of the urban community. Jiřík Tesák Mošovský and Český Brod

This study deals with the life of utraquist clergyman Jiřík Tesák Mošovský in urban community of Bohemian countries in the 16th and 17th century. The main topic was especially his world of ideas and his opinion of local community. In the four following chapters will be present step by step the relations between clerical and secular patrons, administration of the city Český Brod as well the routine life of Jiřík Tesák Mošovský. There were used old prints writing by Jiřík Tesák Mošovský to understand his personality. Extending knowledges about activities in the utraquist parishes before the battle of White Mountain was the main purpose of this study. New discoveries should extend knowledge about importance of the utraquist Church in history of Bohemian countries.

The Spiritual Administration of Provostship in Jindřichův Hradec between 1840 - 1918

The work deals with the spiritual administration of provostship in Jindřichův Hradec in the years 1840 - 1918. It briefly describes the history of the city Jindřichův Hradec, the origin of provostship and the church administration until 1840. It is followed by an insight into the context of church history at that time. The most extensive part of the thesis consists of chronologically ordered curricula vitae of incumbent provosts between the years 1840 - 1918. The aim is to show and describe the church administration and life of parish community in Jindřichův Hradec. The view of leading figures of provosts demonstrates the importance of the office, important events and the general profile of administrators of the parish. It is confirmed that the importance of Jindřichův Hradec provosts surpassed by far the status of the mere administrators of common parishes.

The theory and an experience pastoral care of seniors

This diploma work deals with the pastoral care of seniors in Czech Republic. It is divided into two parts {--} theoretical and practical one. I try to explain the conception of pastoral care in the first part of this work by using different opinions of several authors and then I also describe various stories of seniors´ life. In the end of this part there is also a refer to the usefulness of older generation and clues on how to keep ourselves in repair even in advanced years. I proof or refutate two hypotheses in practice in the second part {--} the first one is about bigger extention of pastoral care in houses established by the church and the second one about bigger seniors´ interest in pastoral care in houses established by the church.
