Klimatické podmínky rozvoje větrné eroze v oblasti jižní Moravy
Spáčilová, Bronislava
The thesis deals with the current state and future development of climatic conditions of South Moravia in relation to wind erosion and determining the effectiveness of windbreaks. Localities represent areas vulnerable to wind erosion. Climatic conditions were evaluated for the periods 1961-1990, 2021-2050 and 2071-2100, using climadiagrams, temperature and precipitation extremity, water balance and climatic regions. Scenarios assume decrease of subnormal temperature months, negative water balance values and increase in extremely above normal temperature months and below normal precipitation months and the probability of dry vegetation period. The threat of drought should increase and thus the land area threatened by wind erosion as well. Significant ability of windbreaks to reduce wind speed, even when trees are still without leaves, was demonstrated by measuring at five selected windbreaks in South Moravia. The calmest zone was detected at a distance of two to three times the height of the windbreak on the leeward side. To assess the effectiveness of windbreaks in different phenophases without measuring the optical porosity and model WEng were used. Model outputs showed similar attenuation of wind speed as the results of field measurements, but only in the vicinity of the windbreak.

Diagnostics and therapy of spiritual emergency - orienting study
Janečková, Barbora ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Břicháček, Václav (referee) ; Hájek, Karel (referee)
The doctoral dissertation contains of a definition of spiritual emergency, differential diagnosis, description of kinds of spiritual emergency. It looks on the therapeutical possibilities in working with these states. Part of the dissertation is analysis of semistructured interviews with clients and therapists who work with these kinds of problems. In the analysis of the interviews with therapists I center on their experience with the dynamics of spiritual emergence, its manifestation and possible existence of similar traits of clients with this diagnosis. Important parts of the interviews are the most effective ways of working with these clients. I was also interested in their own perception on how spiritual emergence occurs and on the possible change in the quality of life of the client after this episode. In the analysis of the interviews with the clients I question when spiritual emergence occurred, how it started, how long did it last and what were the reactions from outside. Important part is centered on the interventions which the client experienced and their efficiency. Case studies demonstrate typical traits described at spiritual emergency, as quite dramatic beginning, complete recovery and also an important change in value system.

Řehák, Martin ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Korbel, Vladimír (referee)
Name: Longitudinal monitoring of sports efficiency in men·s llOm hurdles running on the top world competitions Project goal: The major goal ofthis essay was to compare the results of finalists in men's 110 m hurdles running on World Championship in Athletics during years 1983 - 2005. The results of finalists were monitored from heat to final and were specialized in the time in running, in the position, in the speed of competitors and in their reaction times. The comparison of anthropometric characteristic was next part ofthis work. Methodology: The methodology of the diploma thesis consists mainly of monitoring of selected finalists in men's llO m hurdles running from every World Championship (it means 8 fastest competitors). We followed by these competitors the performance in all progressive running: in heat, quarter-final (in years 1995, 1997, 1999), semi-final and final. We compared datas about times, positions, speed of running, time reaction and anthropometric characterestics of finalists. All these parametres were compared to their counterparts. Results: The total average age of all man finalists, who started in World Championships in years 1983 - 2005, is 26,27 years. The total average body weight of all man finalists in our monitoring period is 78,91 kg. The total average body height of...

Determination of double bond position in wax esters by dimethyl disulfide derivatization and mass spectrometry
Háková, Martina ; Schwarzová, Karolina (advisor) ; Coufal, Pavel (referee)
Wax esters are substantial constituents of natural waxes, which can be found in many living organisms. Properties of lipids, including wax esters, may be significantly influenced by the position of double bond. In this diploma thesis the location of double bonds was determined by dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) derivatization followed by detection using tandem mass spectrometry with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and electrospray ionization (ESI). We managed to measure the APCI and ESI MS/MS spectra of 8 different wax esters with different position of double bond. Diagnostic ions determining double bond position were identified. This method could be used in HPLC/MS analysis of wax esters, which cannot be analyzed by GC/MS. It was shown that the DMDS derivatization reaction and mass detection with APCI ionization is also suitable for locating double bonds in alkenes.

The Observance of Dietary Precautions in Clients with Type 1. Diabetes Mellitus
KOVANDOVÁ, Klára
This work for bachelor´s degree is focussed to clients with Diabet mellit (1st type) and their abiding diet arrangements. Diabettes mellitus (1st type) is chronic autoimmune disease. It is caused by selective destruction of betta- cells of Langerhan´s islets, which cause to absolute absence of insulin in human organism. It was introduced that diabettes mellitus (1st type) is disease mainly of children or young adults in the past. But according to new results it is the same frequent disease with people, who are about 40 years oldand even with people, who are about 70 years old (it is mostly less drastic than with young people). The base of cure is therapeutic nutrition, which is always bonded with use of insulin. Diotherapy is one of the most important part of case of daibet (1st type). During last time axions of diotherapy are very changed. The accent is still emphasize to quality of selected food, correct amount of food, diet periodicity and diet frequencies. Every diabetic should have his own, individual diet plan, which includes scheduling of replaceable units for all day. Thanks to diet plan the diabet can know, how many replaceable units are in all food, which will be eaten during the day. Adequate gain of drink is very important for diabetics too. Abidance of drinks will not cure the patient, but it will help him with improvement of bodily weight. If patients want to have successful care, he must be very accountable. Diabetic needs patient and educated courier, if he wants successful care. For example- there is a diabetes nurse in foreign countries. Regime of czech public health doesn´t have it. The aim of this work is detecting og abiding of diet action with diabetics, who have mellit (1st type) and they go to the diabet consulting rooms. The aim of the work is answering for questions: What is form of information about dietary action of diabetics (1st type) for patients? What was the role of nurse during client´s education about dietary action? What is form of abidance about client´s dietary action? Explorational part of the work was machined like a qualitative research and its beasic technic was used unstandardized interview. The interview was accorded by six respondents- diabetics ( who have mellit, 1st type). Information from interviews were machined to individual casuistries. The same of the work was accomplished and explorational questions were answered. Thanks to this research we could see, the life with diabetic can be identically long, happy and full of experiences like life without him. Diabetes is disease for all life. It achieves to change life of healthy person- absolutely. And because of it, it is important diabetics reconcile with it and be happy, even with this disease. The prevention is also very important. These patients need a lot of motivation, energy and they need someone, who give them a lot of theoretic findings. The special team for diabetics exists because of it. Sometimes, there is only nurse with patient during the cure. Sometimes there is a doctor. But when they (nurse, doctor, patient) are together, it is the most important part of the cure. Results from explorational research are beneficial for diabetes nurses, who work in diabetes clinic. There was made an information brochure thenks to these results. This brochure can be used by nurses, but by diabetics too. This brochure can be useful to acquiring of information for students who study sanitary industry at university.

Electrochemical behaviour of metallothioneins on silver amalgam electrodes
Šestáková, Ivana ; Josypčuk, Bohdan
Three different types of silver amalgam electrodes (p-AgSAE - polished silver solid amalgam electrode, m-AgSAE - mercury meniscus modified silver solid amalgam electrode and AgA-PE - silver amalgam paste electrode) were applied for voltammetric detection of metals bound in metallothionein (MT) molecule and for Brdička reaction with Co(III). The signals obtained with m-AgSAE and silver amalgam paste electrode correspond to signals observed on hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). Only p-AgSAE exhibits different behavior which is explained by the formation of AgMT. Formation of AgMT was demonstrated by dissapearance of Cd-Zn-MT peaks and by the increase of new peaks at -573 and -1050 mV, observed by differential pulse voltammetry on HMDE, when silver ions in excess were added to the Cd-Zn-MT solution.

Molecular genetic analysis of the causes of selected hereditary forms of colorectal polyposis
Florianová, Martina ; Kohoutová, Milada (advisor) ; Křepelová, Anna (referee) ; Vodičková, Ludmila (referee)
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide. Hereditary colorectal adenomatous polyposis syndromes are a predisposition to colorectal carcinoma development. The most common analyzed syndromes are familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) that results from germline mutations in the APC gene and MUTYH - associated polyposis (MAP) caused by germline mutations in the MUTYH gene. The aim of this study was to clarify genetics causes of colorectal polyposis in a set of probands without the germline mutation in the APC gene. Within studyʼs scope the presence of large deletion in APC gene was tested, there was looked for germline mutations in MUTYH gene, alternatively germline mutations in MSH6 gene by probands with monoallelic MUTYH mutation, item there was tested an effect of detected APC variants on gene expression. Screening for large deletions was performed by multiplex ligation dependent probe amplification (MLPA). A set of 120 APC-negative probands was examined for the presence of germline MUTYH mutations by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (dHPLC). Subsequently a set of 145 APC-negative probands was screened only for germline MUTYH mutation in exon 7 and 13 by high resolution melting (HRM) analysis. Analysis of the effect on expression was tested by ten APC...

Measurement of velocity and frequency in synthetic jet
Flídr, E. ; Šafařík, P. ; Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Broučková, Z.
The aim of this paper is to evaluate resonance frequency of pulsation in synthetic jets of air. Resonance frequency was determined by theoretical calculation. This frequency was compared with experimental results. To obtain frequency characteristics three experimental methods were used. Velocity was measured by Pitot tube and hot wire anemometry in CTA regime. Last method was based on calculation of reaction force from relative weight changes.
