Binders for pellets from biomass
BARTOŠ, Pavel
Pellets from biomass represent an appropriate form of biofuel for combustion. They are characterized by good fuel parameters, they enable efficient storage, transport and handling, and automatic fuel supply to the combustion chamber. Pellet production is quite a complicated and energy-consuming process. During the production it is necessary to ensure that the amount of input energy was the same or even smaller than the energy obtained. To streamline the production and improve thermo-mechanical properties some binders and additives can be used. It is possible to increase the strength, density, calorific value and resistance to abrasion by using such binders and additives, in addition, you may achieve changes in characteristics and quantity of ash, decrease of the cost of pellets production, the use of materials which are separately difficult to burn and not easy to process by pelleting and affecting emission parameters during combustion. The most important binders and additives with a positive effect on pellets include: lignin, starch, molasses, glycerol, paraffin and palmitin, carboxymethyl cellulose, limestone, rye and corn flour, lignosulfonate and waste potatoes.

Domestic violence and its prevention
Dvořáková, Petra ; Zapletal, Josef (advisor) ; Vanduchová, Marie (referee)
Domestic violence as a negative social phenomenon of our society has started to be considered as a serious topic in the Czech Republic in the last few years. It has started to be discussed in public in the 90's. Before, it was considered as a private matter not supposed to be governed by the law or any other state regulations. The aim of this thesis is to describe domestic violence in the light of criminological aspects of this topic. It is focused on concept and definitions of domestic violence, its phenomenology and etiology. Attention is paid to the victim of domestic violence, influence of domestic violence on her psyche and behavior, consequences of domestic violence and relationship between the victim and the aggressor. At least but not last there is mentioned a prevention of domestic violence and efficient help offered to victims. There are many definitions of domestic violence and we cannot say that only one is correct. Domestic violence is very comprehensive and a complicated phenomenon so it is not possible to assign only one definition as generally valid. However, it has some typical features: domestic violence differs from other violent acts in the existence of intimate relationship between aggressor and his victim, it happens in privacy and mostly without witnesses, it happens...

Security of Electricity Supplies in the EU
Mandátová, Pavla ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Pacnerová, Eva (referee)
The aim of the thesis 'Security of electricity supplies in the EU' is to verify validity of the argument that three objective of EU energy policy which the European Council officially agreed upon in 2007 might be conflicting in their practical implementation. Those objectives involve: increasing the competitiveness of European economies and the availability of affordable energy, combating climate change and increasing security of supply. In order to verify relevance of this hypothesis, security of supply is narrowed down to the case of electricity as a specific commodity. With regard to the other two goals, the paper identifies main challenges to security of electricity supplies. Subsequently, the analysis of policy and legislative measures adopted at the EU level which should tackle these challenges is performed and their adequacy evaluated. Inadequate network infrastructure investment and absence of coordinated grid development as well as coordinated system operation are perceived as main concerns. Last but not least, the thesis analyzes interpretations of identified deficiencies provided by four theoretical approaches to European integration - neofunctionalism, liberal intergovernmentalism, new institutionalism and multi-level governance

Composition and verification of baterry movement activities in form of DVD focused on volleyball
KOSTA, Vladimír
This bachelor?s thesis is aimed at the usage and efficiency of the motional games in volleyball. From the collection of 43 games extracted from the books and after testing and validation of their efficiency comes the package of 22 games, which are filmed and the rules are described in detail, including my own thoughts. The aim is to create a storage of the games, their evaluation in the practices and later create the DVD file filled with audiovisual recordings of these games mentioned. The testing group will be set of the team of elderly pupil players in the age of 13-15 of VK Jihostroj České Budějovice. The result of this thesis is the evaluation of the tested games according to the evaluation key and the DVD file, which I was able to make the way it could work separately, too, not as an attachment only.

Central Asia in the context of energy security
Laube, Pavel ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The study works with the paradigm of energy security of supply in the context of three Central Asian republics; Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It focus on the relations related to gas and oil. The subjects are analyzed from the point of their own energy strategy, institutions' efficiency as well as position in the energy market. The analysis deals with the main external actors; Russia, China and European Union. A great stress is laid on the evolution in gas and oil trading and the energy infrastructure in the region. Problems of relation between energy, security and politics are included. I try to cover the main trends in the gas and oil market and put them in the context of Central Asia. My conclusions limit the popular scheme of russian dominance and stress the growing cooperation with China, in contrast to EU. However, the growing interconnection of the euroasian gas market is also very important.

Power supply in an automobile
Soukup, Patrik ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work deals with the study of automotive alternators and their theoretical analysis. We can find there a listing of losses arising from the alternator, explanation of their formation and also the way of their reduction. Losses reduction is one of the aspects of innovation leading to increase in overall efficiency of the automotive alternator. Therefore a design of particular ways of innovation is made in this work and subsequently the design is verificated using Maxwell - RMxprt.

Validation of selected economic theories on macroeconomic data for the Czech Republic
Zoul, Lukáš ; Mirvald, Michal (advisor) ; Matula, Miloš (referee)
The main goal of the thesis is to explore selected economical hypotheses through theoretical conception applying macroeconomics data from the Czech Republic. This thesis includes the following hypotheses: budget deficits solved by increasing taxes, compromise between unemployment and inflation, low impact of budget deficits. To verify these hypotheses, there is a comparison with economic theories such as Laffer curve, which has showed that Laffer peak is at the level of 22 % taxation. Other used theory is the Phillips curve where correlation between inflation and unemployment rate is stronger based on yearly data than on monthly data. Theoretical model IS-LM has confirmed that multiplication effect could have caused the positive economic growth in 2010 and 2011. Even if economical hypothesizes are partially correct, they are not recommended for the government to determine their decisions. There are more efficient long-term solutions that can be used to solve challenges of the recent economic situation.

Water oxygenation by fluidic microbubble generator
Tesař, Václav ; Peszyński, K.
Oxygenation of water by standard means is rather ineffective. The classicalapproach to improvements – decreasing the size of the aerator exits - have already reached their limits. Recent idea is to decrease the size of the generated air bubbles by oscillating the supplied air flow using fluidic oscillators. Authors made extensive performance measurements with an unusual high-frequency fluidic oscillator, designed to operate within the submersed aerator body. The performance was evaluated by the dynamic method of recording the oxygen concentration increase to saturation in the aerated water. Experiments proved the fluidic generator can demonstrably increase the aeration efficiency 4.22-times compared with the aeration from a plain end of a submerged air supply tube.
