Bus monitoring and control environment
Zábušek, Gabriel ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Pop, Tomáš (referee)
This text is intended as an accompaniment to software and hardware environment for monitoring and controlling digital buses named Bus-Spy. The thesis analyses the problems of bus control, bus monitoring and existing solutions. It offers a solution in form of a very modular hardware/software environment which is capable of complete monitoring and controlling the i2c (Inter Integrated Circuit) bus and the CAN (Controller Area Network) bus in their basic form. It also explains the software and hardware design of the environment and describes the implementation. The thesis should mainly serve low level and system developers, firmware engineers or anyone involved with digital bus related communication.

Predicate Analysis and Analysis of Metaphors Used in Messages Attributed to Osama bin Laden Regarding the United States of America and Their European Allies Following the 2003 Invasion of Iraq
Schneiderová, Klára ; Makariusová, Radana (advisor) ; Drulák, Petr (referee)
MA thesis project Klára Schneiderová PREDICATE ANALYSIS AND ANALYSIS OF METAPHORS USED IN MESSAGES ATTRIBUTED TO OSAMA BIN LADEN REGARDING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAAND THEIR EUROPEAN ALLIES FOLLOWING THE 2003 INVASION OF IRAQ INTRODUCTION - War on terror = war on Islam? (analysis of fundamentalist logic and stream of thought) For this Master thesis project, I chose to analyze the terrorist discourse of Osama bin Laden, the leader of the global Jihadist network, al-Qaeda, particularly his messages regarding the United States of America and its European allies following the 2003 invasion of Iraq, as they were gathered in various relevant sources of record up to the near present.1 I chose this topic due to my long-term interest in the Middle East, particularly the relationship and links between religious ideology and politics in the region. The methodology chosen for this work is closely related to media image analysis which I became familiar with during my previous studies and which I applied in my Bachelor's thesis. In the world today, I believe it has become increasingly important to reflect, observe and closely examine the roots and foundations of fundamentalist argumentation and logic, which in this case serve as the key motors of the global Jihadist movement. Following the 9-11-01 terrorist attacks...

Social network analysis using flow of e-mail communication within organization
Schmid, Jan ; Bahbouh, Radvan (referee) ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis is intended as a methodological experiment which follows up to contemporary extractions of social networks using flow of email communication. It tries to combine previous technical approaches and further develop them. As essential discipline is identified social network analysis (SNA) and its historical development is briefly described. SNA is not understood as an independent science and its incompatibility to other scientific disciplines (sociology, sociometry) is pointed out. The introduction of SNA is completed by description of data file organization, which quite differs from conventional organization of sociological data file, as well as description of basic computing methods. The thesis focuses on SNA in organizations where it serves to map informal structure and its comparison to formal structure. Concept of informal structure introduces the term of community of practise, which is considered as an ideal condition for innovation. Individual aspects allowing or obstructing the development of community of practise can be defined through models of communication networks. Apart of SNA in organizations diploma take in consideration authors who worked on analysis of email networks. Summary of previous studies offers different ways of SNA of email communication but most of cases do not combine SNA in...

Configuration of Single Sign On against Active Directory in enterprise network
Křenek, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This work discusses about configuration and integration of Single Sign On against to Active Directory which serves as an authorization into web applications for Air Navigation Services, CZECH REPUBLIC by company Ifield Computer Consultancy Limited. Part of the work is performed the results of testing of the performance these two type of implementations for two different applications. For the theory part I've been using relevant literature, but for some tools, namely Scimark and JMeter, there is none, so I had to settle with internet sources. The main benefit of this thesis is the result of testing of comparison two different implementations of the Single Sign On generated using NTLMv2 and SPNEGO/Kerberos.

Suggestion of data architecture of Intranet and „data mining“ using SQL server
Herman, Jan ; Procházka, Jiří (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis proposes data structure of the intranet and the usage of the SQL language in data research. The output of the work is an intranet proposed for a particular organization. Data and functional modeling were used for the suggestion of the data structure and the SQL language served as a basis for creating queries. These queries allow the network user, server administrator and the director of an organization to control the data in a transparent manner. The work is based on the analysis of the current situation and of the information available, though it has been also influenced by modern trends.

The Concept of Computer Laboratory for Non-profit Sector.
Fáborský, Jindřich ; Vinter, Miloslav (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the project of computer laboratory for the Institution of Social Care for Disabled Youth - Kociánka realized with minimum costs of production. Using the computer network with thin clients and the operating system GNU/Linux serves for minimizing the costs. The thesis includes not only explanations of principles of technology, but also an implementation procedure for this project.

Documentation of sinkholes in Vilemovice locality
Jackulíková, Denisa ; Kratochvíl, Radim (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was the detection of sinkholes in Harbešsko-Vilémovicka plateau and near surrounding. Using mostly the GNSS technology allowed us to create the network of subsidiary mapping stations. The remaining stations were determined by other geodetic mapping methods. By the means of fixed geodetic stations and subsidiary mapping stations, it was possible to utilise the polar method to target and consequently map detailed locations of points and these were then added to the points obtained by using the GNSS technology. The outcome of the performed mapping was the thematic map created in the 3rd class of precision based on mandatory geodetic reference systems S-JTSK and Bpv. This thesis can serve as a basis for the classification of sinkholes in the area of 1st Protection Zone of the Protected Landscape Area Moravsky kras.

Design and realization of small wireless network
Žebrák, Miroslav ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
This work deals with the design and realization of small wireless network. The achievement of the goal was enabled due to unique design tool and supported by thorough analysis. The first part describes wireless networks in general terms including types of networks and suitable places for its implementing. The next part focuses on norms, technologies and topology that wireless networks can use. The last chapter of the theoretical part explains basic terms of networks safety. The design of school wireless network and the computation of signal coverage is the main part of the work. The contribution of this work is that it serves as an example of the design system that shows how the design might be precise. Such a design can be the basis for the building up wireless network and enables subsequent verification of predicted results.

Facebook as a marketing tool
Nováková, Vendula ; Zeman, Jiří (advisor) ; Filipová, Alena (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with social network Facebook and it's potential for marketing. In first two chapters the thesis explains viral marketing and social networking in general. Then it analyses Facebook user with an emphasis on data coming from survey "Facebook user" realized in May 2009. Acquired theoretical knowledge and detailed analysis of user environment serves for suggestions and tips for marketing use on Facebook. The whole thesis is enriched by many examples which enable deeper understanding of the topic.

Reliability and availability calculation propos efor the educational laboratory
Oujezský, V. ; Novotný, B.
The basic task was to define the reliability of network equipment in the Laboratory of Transport Networks which is a part of “Sensor, Information and Communication Systems” research center (SIX). The whole educational process in the laboratory depends on the reliability of network equipment and our intention is to propose a method to define availability and reliability of used network equipment. It also serves the purpose of effective and predictable equipment renewal. This article describes mentioned method.
