The bachelor's thesis is focused on cost management in a construction company. The work is divided into three parts, namely the theoretical, analytical and design part. Accounting is described in the theoretical part, it is also devoted to the analysis of costs and their calculations. In the analytical part, I first described the company, the subject of business, the distribution of costs, the current calculation of indirect costs and the costing system. In the last draft part, I focused on changing the calculation of indirect cost calculations and changing the company's costing system.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of costs and calculations in the company. The analytical part of the work is devoted to a detailed analysis of costs in Galvanika a.s. for three consecutive accounting periods. Based on the evaluation of the analytical part, solutions for optimizing costs and increasing profits in the company are subsequently proposed.

The Company´s Costs, Their Management and Analysis

The thesis deals with analysis and cost management. It is made on the basis of the small family company MH-plast s. r. o. operating in the Highlands. First there are mentioned basic theoretical knowledges about costs and possibilities of their calculations and these theoretical findings are then applied in the methodical part, which contains the characteristics of the chosen company taking into account the evolution of its costs. Furthermore a calculation for a specific production order is compiled, chosen by the company MH-plast s. r. o., based on data provided by the management. In the final chapter there is a discussion about the results and appropriate proposals and recommendations are presented to help the company make certain changes, in order to achieve more efficient management and greater competitiveness of the company in the market.

The theoretical part explains basic concepts and analyses, which are further used in the thesis. The analytical part describes the company and the calculation method and system for the production and sale of thermal energy. Final part of the thesis is focused on the proposals of the thesis, which are based on the analytical part and cost modelling. This part addresses planned increase in the volume of thermal energy sales, and its effects on price and costs.

The topic of my thesis is overhead costs in a construction company. The theoretical part of the thesis explains what is a construction company, what types of costs are, how costs are managed and what calculation methods are used. In the practical part is characterized the analyzed company. The style in which a company manages and calculates overhead costs. After this is created another way of calculating overhead costs, application of this method to the actually performed contract and then there is compare of both methods. At the end of the practical part is the evaluation.
