Impact of student mobilities on employment

The main aim of this thesis is to provide opinions from students and companies about student mobilities and their possible impact on employment and compare if they match. The diploma thesis is also trying to find out if experience with studying abroad influence employability and how. The thesis compounds of theoretical and practical part. First part research the background and development of student mobilities, especially the Erasmus scheme in European Union and provide information about other mobility programmes and the reasons for and against studying abroad. Second part focus on qualitative research among selected companies and quantitative research among students about student mobilities and their impact on employment. The results of the thesis provide information about relationship between studying abroad and future career prospects and can serve as an overview for students who are deciding whether to go study abroad or not as well for employers to have better awareness about their possible candidates´ expectations. The own research found that Czech students gain during the stay abroad valuable experience which can enhance their career prospects, however, there are some differences according to country where student went abroad to.
Proposal of SQL Database for Student Affairs

Design of the Erasmus Programme Information Support

This thesis deals with reengineering of Erasmsus process framework and conceptual design of its information support. Analytical part is focused to description of current state of ERASMUS programme and European education system. In the same part, advantages and shortcomings of current situation are analyzed. The output of this analysis is set of strengths and weaknesses of current solution. Based on this information, the conceptual design of the information support core is designed. At the end, potential further steps of designing of this project are discussed.
Process Optimization of the Educational Programs Realisation

The diploma thesis is devoted to the process analysis of realization educational programs and their optimization. The theoretical section is focused on educational programs, educational policy EU concept, process questions and connected notions. The analytical part researches implementation processes of educational programs, international activities analysis of Faculty of business, bilateral contracts and questionnaire survey. Knowledge of the analytical part is used in the proposal part, where results of the research are evaluated and drawn up procedures to improve processes. Proposals and disposals leading to increasing student´s participation and process optimization were compiled on the basis of gained information about Faculty of business and they respect educational concept of European Union.
Mobility support in terciary education through new technologies in the EU

Mobility support in education is one of key, longtime targets of the EU. Apart from significant financial resources that are put into this target through various EU programmes, mobility is also supported by other means. This master's thesis focuses on describing and analyzing mobility support in terciary education in the EU in view of the newest trends in this field -- the use of ICT. The aim is to introduce and critically evaluate the current problematics of academic mobility in the EU, describe the relation and importance of physical and virtual mobility and outline possible future developments. Furthermore, the paper attempts to justify this mobility support by putting academic mobility in the context of individual and economic competitiveness, and thus find out whether virtual mobility itself can be a catalyst for competitiveness.
Effect of the Erasmus Exchange Programme on Psychological and Professional Development of Students

The theoretical part of this Bachelor's Thesis defines the basic terms of motivation of students to travel abroad, culture, acculturation and a potential culture shock. Besides that, this part looks into the options of studying abroad, now available to students, and analyses the evolution of students' and empoyees' mobility. The second part is practical part, focused on the practical application of theoretical knowledge and verifying its validity with the help of a research sample which consists of one hundred students who are studying at two main universities in the Czech republic and are participating in the Erasmus Programme of Student Exchange in the academic year 2013/2014. The chosen research method is the secondary data analysis based on the technique of a systematic probability sampling. The main objective of this study is to analyse and compare motivations and benefits of such journeys, and to examine the quality of assistance provided to the students during their stay abroad and the level of their integration into the foreign environment.
Tourism for the selected segment - students from the foreign universities

Práce analyzuje segment zahraničních studentů jako skupinu ?návštěvníků?, která patří se svými specifiky k obtížené klientele, o kterou je třeba patřičným způsobem pečovat a poskytovat jí kvalitní univerzitní služby a pomoc. Práce také demonstruje obecné přínosy těchto hostů a trendy, se kterými se setkáváme na univerzitách. Větší pozornost byla zaměřena na vhodné doplnění programu letní školy pořádané na JU. Ve spojení s tímto doplněním programu se velká pozornost ubírala směrem ke zvolené atraktivitě - Stezce korunami stromů Lipno. Projektem diplomové práce je navržení a realizace projektu zatraktivnění této turistické atrakce v podobě aplikovaného nočního osvětlení, které přineslo provozovatelům nové možnosti využití a výhody. Druhá část projektu se pak zabývá prosazením tohoto místa do programu a to hledáním vhodné varianty pro reciproční spolupráci, které nakonec bylo úspěšně dosaženo. Stezka tak byla úspěšně prosazena do následujících programů letních škol pořádaných Jihočeskou univerzitou.
Implementation of EU´s Education policy in the Czech Republic

Thesis describes development and current state of European Union's Education policy. It focuses mainly on Erasmus programme and its implementation in the Czech Republic on example for five universities in Prague. First part describes history of Education policy from EU's establishment to formation of strategy Europe 2020 and it pays attention to authorities and institutions that influence education in the EU. Second chapter introduces Lifelong Learning Programme and other community programmes supporting education. Moreover it deals with operational programmes in the Czech Republic. Third, last one, part focuses on Erasmus programme, its practical use in the Czech Republic, and specifically on five selected universities in the capital city.
Psychological Aspects of Studying Abroad

The topic of this thesis is study abroad. The theoretical part presents knowledge about the process of adaptation in a new country and its culture; then it deals with acculturative and coping strategies, culture shock and its determinants and also reverse culture shock, which takes place after arrival home form a foreign country. It also introduces the age group of participants on study abroad (21 {--} 26 years old) from the developmental psychology point of view. Then it describes the already known correlation relationships between personality characteristics and some aspects of long term stays abroad. Finally, it outlines a personality profile of the ideal person for a long term study abroad. The research part informs the reader about knowledge we have found out from 3 research questionnaires that were completed by students before, during and after the experience of study abroad, and also knowledge we have gained thanks to interviews with the students. The main research areas are the following: the personality profile, changes of chosen characteristics that have taken place due to the experience of the study abroad, motivation, expectations and their fulfillment, process of culture shock and reverse culture shock.
