Bridge over a local road and a brook
Tichavská, Andrea ; Čihák, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The purpose of the master thesis is the design of the concrete highway bridge by European standards. The highway is situated on two independent prestressed load-bearing structures with cross-section area of constant dimensions over its length. The bridge deck is built on a falsework considering its proportions and obstacles under the bridge. The thesis contains the design and the assessment of the load-bearing structure in longitudinal and transverse direction including the calculation of cross beams and an anchorage zone.

The bridge road crossing in the town Příbor
Suchánek, Petr ; Pukl, Stanislav (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design and assessement of the road bridge in Příbor city, where road I/58 crosses road I/48. There are 3 possible of solution of designed structure which are slab construction, beam construction and prefabricated structure. Each solution includes the design and assessment of individual structures, including drawings and economic evaluation. In conclusion, the three solutions have been evaluated against all of the given criteria.

Assessment of the bending carrying capacity of a concrete cross-section according to Eurocode and SBRA method
Pustka, D. ; Marek, Pavel
The paper deals with the reliability assessment of simply supported reinforced concrete beam from the viewpoint of bending, the reliability analysis is performed according to Eurocode compared with the calculation using probabilistic SBRA method. In the SBRA approach, all random variables are described using bounded histograms and its interactions are analyzed using direct Monte Carlo simulation technique.

Design of a mirror collimator for a light beam outgoing from a silica fibres bundle of a circular cross section.
Vodák, Jiří ; Brillová, Kateřina (referee) ; Ohlídal, Miloslav (advisor)
Imaging spectroscopic reflectometry is an innovative method for studying optical properties of thin layers. This method allows as studying large areas of thin layers. Imaging spectrophotometer designed in The Institute of Physical Engineering was supposed to allow measurements along areas of about 25 mm x 25 mm. However this area was not achieved. To achieve desired dimensions of the area under study it is necessary to redesign the optical transmission setup between a source of monochromatic light and the imaging spectrophotometer. The old spectrophotometer design consists only of a mirror collimator not sufficient enough to collimate a rectangle shaped light beam on the output of the monochromator. The new design will consist of optical cable of silica fibers transforming the rectangle input light beam into a light cone which will be easier to collimate by a mirror collimator.

Modifying interchanges Hradecka x Sports x Palacky
Chlíbek, David ; Sedlák, Lubomír (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
Thesis subject is a project documentation as a proposal of reconstruction of level crossing in Hradecká street to elevated crossing. Proposal is based on research of traffic intensity and consequential assessment of traffic capacity. Another thesis subject is a verification of potencial proposal of elevated crossing in Sportovní street and Hradecká street, which exists only in one way in present. This proposal is only indicative and can be used for next stage of project documentation. Proposal of crossing in Hradecká and Palackého třída includes design of beam of elevated crossing and design of cover crossing. Elevated crossing of Sportovní and Hradecká is designed as a beam of crossing, which runs on bridge construction of concrete.

Flyover crossing Hlavní street in Frýdek-Místek
Pěkník, Robin ; Klusáček,, Ladislav (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The subject of the Bachelor´s thesis is the design of the flyover crossing Hlavní street in Frýdek-Místek. The main topic is static calculation of supporting construction of one span bridge. Two studies were executed and the second option with pre-stressed prefabricated beams VSTI2000 was chosen. The beams are 18 meters long and coupled with a reinforced concrete slab. Static model and effects of loadings are solved in software Scia Engineer. Reviews are calculated by hand according to Eurocode. Calculation is made without effects of creep, shrink and time analysis.

Stable and instable limit cycles of a reduced aero-elastic system
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pospíšil, Stanislav
Many theoretical models of slender prismatic beams in a cross-wind have been developed. They mostly follow various types of the linear approach. The subject considered in this paper represents a part of a complex theoretical background of the general nonlinear model which would enable to predict any system reaction in the pre- and post-critical domain.

New Detection System for Fast Density Measurements Using the Lithium Beam on the COMPASS Tokamak
Háček, Pavel ; Berta, M. ; Stöckel, Jan ; Weinzettl, Vladimír ; Anda, G. ; Bencze, A. ; Zoletnik, S.
The lithium beam diagnostic at COMPASS is designed for measurements of the edge plasma density profile and fluctuations and edge plasma current fluctuations. The principle of the diagnostic is detection of light coming from collisionally excited Li atoms — beam emission spectroscopy (BES) - and a direct detection of the ionized part of the beam (atomic beam probe — ABP). For slow density measurements a charged coupled device (CCD) camera has been installed and is already working. For fast twodimensional density profile and density fluctuation measurements an array of avalanche photodiode detectors (APDs) will be used. The two-dimensional resolution of the measurement will be possible using fast poloidal deflection and chopping of the beam. Apart from routine density profile measurement, the diagnostic will be capable of investigating the turbulent structures in the edge plasma by cross-correlating the signals coming from poloidally deflected virtual beams.

Probabilistic analysis of the reliability of a concrete cross-section using a method of limit deformation
Pustka, D. ; Marek, Pavel
Proposed application of the SBRA (Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment method documented in [1] to [4]) demonstrates a safety analysis of a reinforced concrete beam exposed to bending. The equilibrium offers in the considered cross-section (see Obr. 1) is calculated using limit deformation method based on iterative procedure. The reliability in bending is expressed by probability of failure, which is directly calculated from corresponding safety function.

The femtosecond optical frequency comb based tool for spectral analysis of molecular absorbtion gases
Lešundák, Adam ; Šmíd, Radek ; Buchta, Zdeněk ; Mikel, Břetislav ; Lazar, Josef ; Randula, A. ; Číp, Ondřej
The spectral analysis of absorption of molecular gases belongs to very powerful methods for detection of concentration of gases in a tested sample. In case of the human breath it consists of hundreds of molecules of gasses and their concentrations are known as biomarkers. An increased concentration of more of them indicates certain diseases or symptoms. The presenting work covers a pilot experiment where femtosecond pulse probe laser and a detection chain based on cross-correlation makes an analysis of the specimen of the absorption gas. In the pilot experimental set-up the detection part utilizes a Michelson interferometer with movable measuring mirror. We developed a novel digital processing method for precise stabilization of the speed of the mirror during measuring process. The caught optical signals are calculated by the fast Fourier transform from the time to wavelength domain. The first caught spectra of the femtosecond beam passing trough the specimens show absorption lines of one isotope of acetylene which was tested as the first sample. The work proofed positive the possibility of using the femtosecond laser for detection of broadband absorption spectra in the infrared region.
