Stock portfolio optimization using multi-criteria methods
Mihál, Jakub ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Čížek, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to fulfill expectations of fictional investor, in other words choice of optimal stock portfolio based on preset requirements. First part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to theoretical approach explaining stock markets, decision theory and linear programming. Process of the optimal portfolio selection is based on process consisting of 3 main steps. First steps selects stocks that are effective - worth investing - from investor's point of view. Selection is carried out via multi-criteria decion analysis method ELECTRE I. Second step verifies reliabitily of the output from step one. Third step designes mathematical model and resultant optimization in mathematical comilator LINGO. In conclusion I will focus myself on thorough interpretation and analysis of the results and choice of optimal portfolio.

Keywords in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels
Hošek, Karolina ; Malá, Markéta (advisor) ; Vašků, Kateřina (referee)
Keyword analysis is a method used in corpus linguistics, in which keywords are generated automatically from the text against the background of a reference corpus serve as the starting point of the analysis of the text. In this thesis, keywords are retrieved from a literary text and analyzed, with a focus on their function as style markers. The theoretical part of this work centers around the description of corpus stylistics, the role of keywords in corpus stylistics and previous findings in the field by other researchers, including linguistic analyses of literary texts. This chapter is complemented by a methodological part which describes the software used in the research and its individual tools. The keyword analysis method is tested by comparing the seven novels of the Harry Potter series to a reference corpus - a subcorpus of the British National Corpus comprising fiction for children and teenage readers. The first one hundred keywords generated using the concordance software AntConc are further divided into subgroups of grammatical and stylistic words, and lexical words, which are listed together with proper nouns. The analyzed keywords illustrate the ways in which the explored text differs from comparable works of children's literature in both lexis and grammar. The concluding part evaluates...

Comparison of thermal comfort of sleeping bag according to EN 13 537
Zabilanský, Jiří ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Doležalova, Lucie (referee)
Title: Comparison of thermal comfort of sleeping bag according to EN 13537 Objectives: Objectives of the proposed work was to measure the temperature inside the sleeping bag during sleeping. Then to compare it with the information given on the labels of sleeping bags. Methods: This work has a experimental character. In our work we have used methods of experiment and field study. These methods were used to sample 7 sleeping bags from various manufacturers. Results: The information reported by manufacturers always do not correspond to real use of sleeping bags. EN 13537 has primarily orientation character. For the choice of sleeping bags we do not recommend to follow according only to the EN 13537. It is necessary to follow other parameters of sleeping bags (type and weight of insulation material and construction of chambers). Keywords: sleeping bag, EN 13537, thermal comfort

Radon-Nikodym Derivative in Probability Theory
Křepinská, Dana ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Janák, Josef (referee)
This thesis concerns the Radon-Nikodym derivate, its properties, connection with measure derivative and its applications in the probability theory. The text defines the conditional probability distribution and solves the problem of unique- ness in the case of conditioning of an event which has zero probability of occuring. Next part of the text is about the conditional expactation, which is defined by the conditional distribution, and some of its properties. There are also few words about the Borel isomorphic spaces and the conditional variability and covariance. Last section of this work is about construction of the Brownian Bridge from the Wiener process and about its applications is the statistics.

Inventories of inheritance of the early modem period nobility in the Principate of Opava and Krnov as a source of history of every-dayness (1650-1740)
Mašitová, Petra ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Fukala, Radek (referee) ; Maur, Eduard (referee)
Inventories of inheritance of the early modem period nobility in the Principate of Opava and Krnov as a source ofhistory of every-dayness The universa! analysis and comparison of nobility's inventories of inheritance is an object of the work. Concemed inventories were built in years 1650-1740, the bottom limit is given by the end of Thirty Y ears' War (late leave of Swedish garrisons from north Moravian and Salesian region) and the top limit corresponds with dividing of Salesian principalities after the lost War of the Austrian Succession. Time definition of the work deliberately ignores year 1620, which is much too stressed as an important marker by Czech historiography. From geographical point of view we cover the region of Czech Silesia, namely historie principalities of Opava and Krnov. The resources' base consists of agenda, which is located in Land archive in Opava, in the fund District executive of Opava-Krnov's principality in Opava 1507-1784. There are over 300 inventory numbers in the aforementioned fund, which contains inheritance and trusteeship cases from the 16th to 18th century. I am interested in 20 inventories of persons, whose houses acted in the area of Upper Silesia: Eichendorf, Vlčkové of Dobrá Zemice, Bokové of Burgvice, Bruntálští of Vrbno, Hodicové of Hodice, Brixové of Moncle and...

Semiconductor lasers with high coherence and their application, activities of the Coherence Optics Department in ISI, ASCR
Lazar, Josef
Pracoviště oddělení Koherenční optiky svými aktivitami navazuje na tradici výzkumu a vývoje v oblasti laserů s vysokou koherencí a jejich aplikaci především pro metrologické účely. Tým Ing. Františka Petrů, DrSc. vyvinul první plynový laser v tehdejší ČSSR a následně dovedl technologii He-Ne laserů k vysoké dokonalosti. Ve svém úsilí se soustředil na frekvenčně stabilizované lasery pro laserovou interferometrii a následně v souvislosti s definicí jednotky délky prostřednictvím rychlosti šíření světla ve vakuu též na konstrukci laseru - primárního etalonu délky, resp. optické frekvence.295 The workplace of the Coherence Optics Department continues in the tradition of the research and development in the area of lasers with high coherence and their application especially for metrological purposes. The team of Ing. František Petrů, DrSc, developed first gaseous laser in the former CSSR and then led the technology of He-Ne lasers to highest perfection. It focused its striving to the frequency-stabilised lasers for laser interferometry and then, in correspondence with the definition of the unit of length by means of light propagation in vacuum, also to the construction of a laser - primary length, i.e. optical frequency etalon.

2D finite element formulation of elastic string vibrations with large displacements
Michálek, Jakub ; Horáček, Jaromír (advisor) ; Matyska, Ctirad (referee)
The thesis addresses the numerical solution of the oscillation of the vocal fold at finite strain, whereas the literature has so far been concerned with infinitesimal strain only. The geometry concerned corresponds to the easiest situation of falsetto, since we observe an isolated vocal fold. The vocal fold is treated as non-linear and non-isotropic continuum in 2D space. To demonstrate the function of the model, we simulate the behaviour of the vocal fold with the linear constitutive equation numerically. The vocal fold is modelled by the finite element method with quadratic elements for static and dynamic surface load. We show that a proper simulation of vocal fold tissue deformation requires the equations with finite strain term. Numerical simulation of the vocal fold can be used e.g. for the construction of artificial vocal folds, and for the optimization of their function. Understanding the phonatory mechanism is also essential for discovering the causes of the disorders such as the vocal nodules and for the scientific foundation of phoniatrics and education of singers. The thesis is interdisciplinary and synthesises the facts from mechanics of continuum, anatomy and education of singers.

An assessment of a bridge construction on a dynamic load
Součková, Markéta ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Salajka, Vlastislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis deas with static and dynamic analysis of a steel arch footbridge. The footbridge structure 3D model was created in program ANSYS 12.1 and afterwards were made static and modal analysis on this computational model. Based on the results of~modal analysis was applied to design of dynamic wind loading on the model according to norms ČSN EN. The effects of this burden has been calculated steady response at resonance from harmonic analysis according to ČSN P EN 1991-2-4. To report according to ČSN EN 1991-1-4 was designed substitute quasistatic forces corresponding loads of wind on the construction and for evaluation was used static analysis.
