Systém pro polo-automatickou 3D rekonstrukci scén
Mach, Lukáš ; Sedláček, David (referee) ; Buriánek, Jan (advisor)
Image-based modeling o ers a way to create precise 3D reconstructions of existing scenes based on their photographs. We describe essential results from projective geometry and computer vision necessary to perform such reconstructions, investigate how sparse feature matching algorithms can be used to help the user in creating the scene more easily and implement a fully functional open source software solution.

Technology of injection of thermoplastics
BASTL, Jiří
This thesis describes technology of injection of thermoplastics and disserts upon important factors of mass production of plastic components. The document also illustrates modeling in 3D software application and step by step explains production of a part of an injection molding machine.

Software testing effort estimation techniques
Čecháková, Lucie ; Doležel, Michal (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
This study is primary focused on software project effort estimation, especially for testing phase effort. The main objective is to verify the applicability of the method of function points for testing phase effort estimation. In my work I verify, if number of test cases, derived by experts from project function points score, relates to reality. Specific objectives include the identification of potential weaknesses in function point analysis, verification procedure for converting the number of lines of code to function points and determining the number of remaining defects generated by COQUALMO method. Theoretical part summarizes the generally applicable rules and describes in detail the four effort estimation techniques which can be used to estimate effort for application testing. After that, some of the cognitive biases of human thought processes influencing the estimates results are described. The practical part consists of an analysis of real project, focusing on estimation of amount of the test cases using function points analysis.

Documentation possibilities of relational databases
Weis, Richard ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Kučera, Jan (referee)
The intention of this bachelor thesis is firstly dealing with the matter of documentation of extensive relational databases, and secondly, the assessment of existing naming conventions and standards, that are used for easier orientation in non-document databases. I will acquaint the reader with a software for documenting databases and easier orientation of administrators, as well as programmers, during the database development. Finally, I will be offering my own program for relational database documenting management.

On the milling technology at a machining center with the VoluMill method
Kakáč, Martin ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with technological preparation of the production at a CNC machining center, equipped with FANUC control system. In cooperation with company AB KOMPONENTY s.r.o. has been used CAM software GibbsCAM and its extensions VoluMill. The first chapter is devoted to the basic properties of aluminum, aluminum alloys and their using in the industry. Furthermore, the chip foramtion in milling is analysed. The following is an analysis of trochoidal milling and research of CAM systems VoluMill and iMachining - systems based on a medium thickness of chip in rough milling opeartions. Next part deals with the design production process of the selected component, the choice of the blank and the processing of the control program with the VoluMill method for this component. The last chapter of the thesis is focused on the techno-economic evaluation for a given number of pieces and individual production technology.

Patents: Means to Innovation or Strategic Ends?
Štěpánek, Martin ; Schwarz, Jiří (advisor) ; Vlasáková Baruníková, Michaela (referee)
This paper utilizes an extensive dataset of 163,663 US patents granted between 1976 and 2011 to 25 companies within four technological fields (aerospace in- dustry, computer manufacturing, semiconductor industry, and software devel- opment), to observe fluctuations in their value and characteristics. I find that certain indicators have changed immensely during the last 36 years, suggesting that newer patents are much less valuable than their predecessors. Further, using Data Envelopment Analysis, I estimate relative production efficiency of transformation of inputs (research and development expenses and company's workforce) into outputs (patent stock and its technological importance), to provide an empirical evidence for the recent theories of strategical patent ex- ploitation by large companies. I find that the efficiency varies considerably for different industries and also for the companies within an industry. There is an overall trend of increasing efficiency in patent production per unit of input, but there is none in the effectiveness of creating valuable inventions, which seems to depend only on the company itself. Optimizing the Software Development Process
Mates, Vojtěch ; Ing.Jan Kopidol (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The master thesis is focusing on modelling and optimizing of business processes. The selected group of processes is oriented to software development area. As the result of the analysis, problematic issues of processes are revealed. The optimizing of processes is primary focused on reducing total performance time of processes and related costs.

Control system of the concrete batch process
Macej, Maroš ; Zemanek,, Pavel (referee) ; Zezulka, František (advisor)
The work presents a control system for energy savings using the recycling of steam in autoclaving process of porous blocks. This work describes a manufacturing process of porous. The control system is based on programmable controllers from Siemens series S7-300, then is applied to the TIA Portal software for the programming of these units. Lastly, the work comprises of process simulation, control system and its subsequent visualization.

Practical use of technical analysis on futures markets
Hába, Viktor ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor) ; Taušer, Josef (referee)
The first chapter contains cocenpts of commodity exchanges and aspects of futures trading and speculation. In the second chapter is quite detailed description of methods of technical analysis, which are divided into patterns and indicators. The important factors of developing a trading system are mentioned in the third chapter. These consists of terms, such as money-management, position sizing, stop-loss or necessity of keeping detailed trading diary. In the very last section of my work I am analysing my own trading using historical data. I am precisely indicating the chosen market, system of trading and its rules, used software and of course the results, that has been achieved.

Comparison of methods of 3D model
Balák, Martin ; Bartoněk, Dalibor (referee) ; Hanzl, Vlastimil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about 3D modelling by using different methods and different types of processing. It describes the process of creating a model in Photomodeler software and Autodesk 123D – Catch software. A major part of the thesis focuses on comparing accuracy of the photogrammetric evaluation. Another factor used to compare the different techniques is how time – consuming it is. The final chapter is devoted to the overall evaluation of the techniques.
