My work began with taking photos in the forest at night; this work was very important to me because of the mysterious feeling. My paintings are stylized more than realistic. I'm captivated by untidy nature, with fallen trees and decaying stumps. Oil is my medium- some places are detailed while others are expressive.

In my thesis I dealt with still life paintings with food. The main keyword of this work is banality. It is the irrelevance of some situations that I used as a motive to create a visually impressive moments. I painted a meal as a celebration of the banal and seemingly unspiritual things, like a gift from God, which is a part of our ordinary everyday life.
Surface treatment of car body

In this work, the theory describes modifications to the car bodies, especially their finishes. Thus pretreatment before the coating lacquer layers. There are described the types of pre-treatment such as degreasing and corrosion protection. Also deals with the coating, and their functions and applications to the car body. Since the body does not consist only of metal, there is another part of the work focused on the plastics that are used and their painting.
Reinterpretation of the Baroque still life

The bachelor's thesis deals with the Baroque still life. It begins with a theory and ends with a practical part. The theoretical part starts with a brief overview of the origins and development of this genre in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France and the Czech lands, with special attention devoted to the painting technique, composition and symbolism. It continues with an overview of the topical state of the art regarding the still life genre and concludes with a representative list of its world-famous and Czech painters. The practical part documents and illustrates the creation of the author's oil painting that reinterprets the Baroque still life in a modern way.
Paraphrase of art work - changes in time

This diploma thesis is divided into two main parts - the teoretical and practical part. The teoretical part deals with the topic of paraphrase in the classical art, surveys the creation of paraphrases in the context of art evolution from the 16th century to the present time and tries to find the answers to the questions which relate to reasons of their creation. It tries to answer the questions what reason the artist of the paraphrases had and what made the artist create a paraphrase of a piece of art which was made a long time before. The teoretical part is a negligible glossary whose meaning is to show a range of different attitudes. The practical part is focused on authorial paraphrases which were made on the basis of the teoretical part and use different views and approaches to the process which the phenomenon of the paraphrase offers.
Figure and the Possibilities of its Dimensions

The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical section considers the display of human figures in the visual arts during the Middle Ages, explores the most important figurative artists engaged in creation and their works and provides information about the dimension figures in terms of its size and proportional relationships. The theoretical part also deals with the history of videoart in Bohemia and videoart with a focus on animated movie. Also briefly describes the history of art and the method of displaying the human figure in children. The practical part deals with the history of art education in the Czech scene, with a focus on animation. The final work consists of a series of drawings and paintings, from which then created a short animated film, which will aim to familiarize students with basic art schools proportional patterns of human figures.
The Image of Mother in the Work of Tomáš H.

This bachelor´s thesis concentrates on relation of mother and child in its early childhood with consequent impacts of this relation on adulthood. It is set upon analogies between unsatisfactory mother-son relation in latter´s childhood and latent meaning of found symbolic of oral frustration or separation anxiety in son´s (who´s a professional artist) creative production. Concept of mother is mentioned here in all of its available symbolic modifications. Theoretic part concentrates on mother-child relation from psychoanalytic and analytical psychology´s perspective. Subsequently, it briefly mentions prominent psychoanalytics´ fundamental views of this problem. The second theoretical area forms the psychology of art where essential questions of creative art-artist relation (perhaps even spectator) are being presented once more. In addition, not even both theoretical and philosophical approach to creative art should be left out. Pivotal part of thesis is devoted to Tomáš H.´s personality involves artist´s biography, analysis and interpretation of three artifacts on which findings from psychoanalysis and artetherapy are being applied. The thesis´ aim is to confront both latent and manifest content of probed artifacts, along with the interconnection of these findings with artist-mother relation in artist´s early childhood. The final part seeks answers to key questions concerning mother-son-creative production relationships. The thesis´ contribution is seen in artetherapy´s significance affirmation, in its close connection with psychoanalysis and application of artetherapy methods in practice which yields relevant results.
Genesis of portrait: The study of family members and transformation of interpretation of family portrait

Václav Švadlena, thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with the portrait its history, forms of portraiture and the gradual transition from painting to photography. The theoretical work contains chapters devoted to the authors: Francisco Goya and Alberto Giacometti. The practical part contains a set of sketches in the form of artist´s books exploring family genetic markers. I tis supplemented by the cycle of portraits the tetraptych of large-scale drawings. The aim is to inform about the phenomenon of a portrait, to create the artist´s books of sketches and a set of large drawings family portraits.
