Josef Karásek (1868-1916) in the context of Czech Slavic Studies and the Czech literary scene in Vienna (On the participation of Vienna in inter-Slavic cultural relations from the founding of the Jagić Seminary to the birth of Czechoslovakia)

This dissertation is divided into two parts. The first part (2. VIENNA AND CZECH LITERATURE) is devoted to the interaction between the city of Vienna and modern Czech culture, primarily literature. The second part (3. VIENNA AND CZECH SLAVIC STUDIES) is oriented toward the problematic of the history of Slavic Studies, the area of Slavic philology which, as a meta-discipline, deals with the self-reflection of its own subject. Specifically, both the initiative of the "Jagić concept" of Slavic philology for Czech Slavic Studies as it was eventually reflected in Karásek's specialized activities and the panoramic outline of the way in which Jagić's work was perceived and absorbed in the Czech surroundings are the subject of consideration. However, this study is not a "classic" monograph in the narrow sense of the word. Josef Karásek, who was a literary historian, editor, translator, and promoter of Slavic literatures in the German-speaking world, was not a central personality in the history of Czech Slavic Studies. Stuccoed ornamentation by Santino Cereghetti at Svatá Hora

The bachelor work deals with the work of Santino Cereghetti (about 1640 - 1791), stucco worker of Italian origin, in Svatá Hora. The first part deals with the technique concerning the stuccoed decoration. The second part concerns the Italian artists who came from the area surrounded by the lakes at the today's border between Italy and Switzerland and who worked as architects and stucco workers in the whole Europe. The third part of the bachelor work follows the changes in the stuccoed decoration and its form in Bohemia in the baroque time. The core of the bachelor work is in the fourth part in which the stuccoed work by Santino Cereghetti in Svatá Hora is described. The determination of the stuccoed decoration made by Cereghetti results from the contracts which prove his work and from the similarity of elements present in his form of the stuccoed decoration. Cereghetti's stuccoed decoration is embedded in the early baroque architecture. Changes in his stucco work are obvious. His first stuccoed decoration is of early baroque character. Antirisorgimento in the works of F. De Roberto, L. Pirandello and G. Tomasi di Lampedusca

This thesis looks at the ltalian antirisorgimento by way of examining three important Sicilian novels: Viceroy (1 viceré) by Federico De Roberto from 1894, The otd and the Young (1 vecchi e i giovani) by Luigi Pirandello published in 1913 and The Leopard (ll gattopardo) by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa from 1958. In the initial chapter, historical and political development of risorgimental and postrisorgimental Italy is outlined, from the 1848 revolutions until the end of the 19th century. The situation in the southem part of the country is emphasized in particular, as the change of regime in 1861 and the unification ofItaly did not bring many positive aspects there. Next chapter discusses the relation of our three authors to the period in which they were composing. We were interested in the ways the epoch influenced them and how their personal experience was reflected in the analyzed texts. Further works by the writers, if relevant to the antirisorgimento, are mentioned too. Is the Concept of the Laffer Curve Valid ?

i Abstract This thesis deals with the issue of Laffer curve. According to the idea of the Laffer curve when the tax rate exceeds certain treshold (revenue-maximizing tax rate) the tax revenue would in absolute terms decrease with rising tax rate. Therefore this thesis tries to discover whether those facts are valid in the corporate income taxation for 20 OECD countries for the time period from 1965 to 2006. The structure of the thesis could be divided into three parts. In first introductory chapters the issue of taxation would be discussed in general. It will briefly examine the history of taxation and explore the theory of taxation and tax systems. The second part of this thesis will focus on the Laffer curve in detail. Third chapter will introduce the theory behind Laffer curve and discuss its properties for different types of taxation. In the following chapter the literature and different possibilities of estimation of the Laffer curve and (or) Laffer effects would be reviewed. Fifth chapter focuses on the corporate income taxation per se and examines the development of corporate income tax revenue and rates in our sample countries. Lebesgue density theorem for Haar measure

In this work, we study Lebesgue theorem analogy in the space 2k with Haar measure and a related theorem about -k-linkedness of the measure algebra of this space. The whole text is divided in three chapters. In the first chapter we explain some important definitions and basic properties of the measure space. The Lebesgue theorem is studied in the second chapter. After the essential definition of the point of density, the major part of the chapter is dedicated to the proof of the theorem. The theorem states, that the symmetric difference between any measurable set and the set of its points of density has measure zero. In the third chapter we study the -k-linkedness theorem; a theorem which states that the measure algebra of the space 2 is -k-linked, if 2 .

Comparison of export promotion policy of the Czech Republic and Austria

The work deals with the comparison of the export promotion policy of the Czech Republic and Austria. The first chapter describes the development, structure of the international trade and export position of the Czech Republic and Austria and subsequently compares the importance of export in both countries. The second and the third chapter characterize the export promotion system in the Czech Republic and Austria. The chapters focus at first on the concept of export promotion in both countries, its main objectives, projects and results and then on the main institutions dealing with the export promotion and their main services. The fourth chapter evaluates and compares the export promotion in both countries as far as its main concept, institutions and services are concerned.

Diplomová práce sociální a ekonomická analýza rozvoje bydlení Jihomoravského kraje je zaměřena na bydlení a bytovou infrastrukturu kraje. Cílem práce je provést systémový rozbor bytové výstavby v kraji a analyzovat stav bytového a domovního fondu včetně jeho vývoje a struktury bydlení. Bydlení je zvláštní specifikum lidského života a nedílnou součástí ekonomiky státu. Jedná se o potřebu, která je pro člověka nezastupitelná a pokud si ji člověk vlastními silami nedokáže obstarat sám, přichází na pomoc stát. Počáteční část práce je věnována charakteristice a demografickému vývoji kraje. Hlavní blok se zabývá analýzou bytového a domovního fondu, kde jsou vysvětleny i kvalitativní a kvantitativní znaky úrovně bydlení včetně bytové výstavby v kraji. Tato kapitola je úzce provázána s navazující kapitolou sociální spekty bydlení, kde je zmíněno o právu na bydlení, významu sociálního bydlení zejména z hlediska dostupnosti bydlení pro mladé začínající rodiny. Závěr práce formuluje cíle vhodné pro kraj a možná opatření v jednotlivých oblastech bydlení.

Specific features of the business environment of California

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá specifiky podnikatelského prostředí Kalifornie. Jejím cílem je zejména zmapovat podmínky, které jsou nezbytné pro úspěšné fungování podnikatelských subjektů. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První se zaměřuje na popis geografických a demografických rysů oblasti, její administrativní rozdělení, podává základní přehled o politickém a právním systému a zahrnuje i problematiku dopravy a jejího významu pro ekonomiku oblasti. Následuje popis aktuální ekonomické situace, která je nastíněna pomocí makroekonomických ukazatelů. Je zde zmíněna také odvětvová struktura ekonomiky a aktuální hodnoty zahraničního obchodu. Třetí kapitola obsahuje informace, které jsou užitečné pro podnikatelské subjekty, pokud se chystají rozvíjet své aktivity v této oblasti. V závěrečné kapitole je obsažena řada důležitých poznatků, týkajících se příčin úspěchu kalifornských podnikatelských subjektů, za které je považován i vhodný způsob financování podnikatelských aktivit pomocí rizikového kapitálu.

The experiences of the system quality implementation on the municipalities with accent on the decrease of the budget costs

V teoretické části se věnuji vymezení územní samosprávy, obcí s důrazem na jejich hospodaření. Následuje definice pojmu kvalita ve veřejné správě s vysvětlením důvodů, které municipality vedou k modernizaci jejich úřadů. Upozorňuji na problémy, se kterými se při implementaci mohou municipality setkat. Další kapitola obsahuje popis metod modernizace územní samosprávy, které jsou nejčastěji používány v České republice. Analytická část je zaměřena na popis implementace normy ISO 9001 na konkrétním subjektu územní samosprávy ? úřadu městské části Praha 10 s akcentem na zjištění vlivu na spokojenost občanů, zaměstnanců a efektivnost probíhajících činností. Následuje rozpočtová analýza, kdy nejprve vysvětlím současné trendy v rozpočtech obcí a potom se pokouším najít ty položky v rozpočtu ÚMČ Praha 10, kde lze dosáhnout úspor v důsledku zavedení systému kvalitního řízení. Následně se snažím odhadnout výši úspor, které by byly realizovány v národohospodářském hledisku, pokud by systémy kvalitního řízení byly zaváděny plošně po celé České republice.
