Beneš, Martin ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis has been created based on the demand of the management of DHL Exel Supply Chain and Swindon Pressings Limited to increase the efficiency and utilization of resources employed within they operations. The theoretical introduction part is first of dealing with the terms "logistics" and "supply chain management" in the perspective of their use in the contemporary logistics theory, comparison of their meaning (are there differences) and explanation of their use in this thesis. Subsequently I am explaining "reverse logistic" and its position in the structures of corporations and logistics itself. Supply chain management and the concept of lean manufacturing combined with the six sigma approach are, from my point of view, essential for today's supplier-customer relationships. That is why those topics are examined in the last part of the theoretical chapter. Returnable packaging and the transport process are key elements of the second part -- practical part, the reengineering of logistics processes which occurred at Swindon Pressings Limited. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the give problem, develop problem solving options and critically comment them. Finally choose one of the options, implement it and document the process of "going live".

The building is to be situated on plot number 1333/21, cadastre unit: Bohunice. The building is to be located on an undeveloped plot in possesion of the investor. The parking lots are connected to a local road. All substantial infrastructures are located nearby the plot. The proposition and the design of the building have respect for both commune plan and current buildings. The documentation is elaborated with regard to the contemporary Czech legislative and standards. The project designs the building, which is divided in two functional parts: SO 01 & SO 02, both operationally and visually connected. Contructions of objects are structurally independent. The first object includes exhibition hall with capacity of 8 exhibited cars. There is also to be located the administrative part, waiting rooms for customers, facilities for employees and the warehouse. The second object includes car repair shop. There are also to be located facilities for employees of the service, workshop, room for a car handover, hand car wash and an utility room. Construction is designed as a reinforced concrete columnar structural system with prefabricated single footings, self-supporting foundation slab and reinforced concrete ceiling slab with integrated girders above first floor of the object SO 01. The roofs of the building are designed as a flat roofs and the support constructions are made of steel. Planned dimensions of autosalon are 41x18 metres. As a cladding of the first object is used the lightweight glass cladding. For masonry walls are used the 250 mm thick ceramic blocks, mineral insulation and ventilated external facade cladding with use of fiber-cement boards. Planned dimensions of car repair shop are 31x28 metres. As a cladding of the second object are used the sandwich panels with foam core made of PIR.

Functions and Constructions
Materna, Pavel
The contemporary notion of functions as mappings is explained and compared with the older notion where functions were conceived of as being prescriptions. The objective character of functions is defended. The notion of constructions, as defined in transparent intensional logic, is then explained; it is shown that constructions are no mappings, so that they could be rather compared with the older, prescriptional notion. Constructions can serve as explicans of the Fregean notion of sense.

The profile of the Czech Prison Service Journal
BÍLÝ, Ondřej
The profile of the Czech Prison Service Journal This thesis concerns prison service. In the theoretical part, there is a history and contemporary state of the execution of prison service in the Czech Republic and the Prison Service of the Czech Republic which is in charge of the execution. This part contains information about a transformation of the Czech prison system and the modern trends that exist in prison service. There is also information about the possibilities of public relation activities of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. It highlights the crucial role of the media in public relations activities of these institutions and organisations. At the end of the theoretical part, there are descriptions of the projects regarding public relations that have already been implemented by the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to monitor the development of The Journal of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Czech Prison Service Journal, regarding its content and its formal or technical site. Quantitative research was used to reach the main aim, which involved the method of analysis of products, as well as the technique of content analysis. It was discovered during this research that the Journal has significantly changed its content structure of published articles and its graphic representation during the last fourteen years of its existence. Besides professional articles that have been published, the Journal concerns itself more and more with current events within the prison service. It appears to be the goal of this service is to create a truthful and positive image of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The partial aim of the thesis was to find out, via questioning of public, whether the Czech Prison Service Journal is known outside the circle of employees of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. Quantitative research was used to reach the partial aim, based upon a method of questioning people on the streets. This research proved that the Journal is unknown in the public. To make the view of the Czech Prison Service Journal complex, a method of a qualitative research, questioning, the technique of semi-structured interviews, was used to find out the opinions of its readers. The readers not only demand professional information from the Journal, but they also want practical experience from each of the penitentiaries and actual information about the Prison Service of the Czech Republic.

This study presents applications of DSSAT version 4.5 software package to simulate thermophilic crops. The results are used to identified adaptation options to reduce impacts of climate changes, pest and diseases in thermophilic crops in the central and southeastern Europe, specifically in Elbe River lowland and Romania. For the Czech Republic, experimental research at farm level includes: (1) testing thermophilic assortment of vegetables in Elbe lowland conditions; (2) monitoring the meteorological data, phenological phases, soil characteristics, leaf area and the amount of aboveground biomass on farmer vegetable fields. For Romania, the focus is put on crop water use efficiency under current and future climate scenarios for thermophilic species (maize) in different agricultural sites from south and south-eastern regions. CERES Maize and CROPGRO-vegetables modules embedded in DSSAT were used.

Monolog as an authentic confession in the context of the contemporary drama
Hýča, Martin ; ULLRICHOVÁ, Daria (advisor) ; VEDRAL, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the notion of monologue and monologicity as a peculiar means of expression of the modern drama. The concept of monologue is defined within the frame of its relation towards dialogue, in the context of theoretical thinking about drama and theater, and in terms of the application of these concepts in everyday life.It is based on the theoretical works by Jan Mukařovský and Jiří Veltruský. The concept of monologue as a lack of dialogicity is being challenged with understanding monologue as a haven of authenticity, a space for authentic testimony. Through the general reflection, thoughts are put in connection with modern drama and illustrated on examples from particular drama works. The thesis leads into a reasoning about the dialogue between the stage and the auditorium as a way-out from the monological situation on the stage.

Heterogeneous agent model with memory and asset price behaviour
Vošvrda, Miloslav ; Vácha, Lukáš
The Efficient Markets Hypothesis provides a theoretical basis on which technical trading rules are rejected as a viable trading strategy. Technical trading rules, providing a signal of when to buy or sell asset based on such price patterns to the user, should not be useful for generating excess returns. Technical traders and chartists tend to put little faith in strict efficient markets.
