Using flotation in water treatment plants
Litschmann, Patrik ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The bachelor thesis processes the principle of dissolved air flotation (DAF), its history, modifications and parameters. It also describes efficiency in removing cyanobacteria, algae and turbidity on surface sources. Additionally, the experience with flotation is described at the first separation stage in the Czech Republic and abroad. It has turned out that pre-project preparation, model tests and pilot tests are absolutely crucial for dissolved air flotation. Finally, flotation with sedimentation is compared in terms of flocculation, coagulation, sludge and their economic impacts.

Keywords: Regulation, Urbanisation, Prague, State commission for regulation of Prague and suburbs, New Town, Main railway station, Masaryk Railway station, Nusle bridge, Petřín communication, Letná plains, Invalidovna, Water treatment plant, Water plant for undrinkable water.
Reconstruction of Water Treatment Plant
Skříček, Jan ; Roh, Robert (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the master thesis was to propose the reconstruction of the water treatment plant. I chose the water treatment plant in Čebín, which I have already describe with in the bachelor thesis. The water treatment plant has problems with increased iron, manganese and ammonium salts. In the first part I devoted myself to the current condition of the water treatment plant and the possibilities of removing the elements from the water. In the next chapter I compiled the equipment of the technological line. To remove iron and manganese, I suggested aeration using an injector, and for the removal of ammonium salts, potassium permanganate is used, which is used to regenerate the filters. A pair of pressure filters helps remove iron and manganese. In the last part of the thesis I described and evaluated the original condition of the water treatment plant. To evaluate the technical condition, I used the TEA Water web application.

In the introduction ismade a short research focused on pesticides, their getting into sources of drinking water and possibilities their removing by water supply processes. As part of this work are assessed effectiveness of this processes for removing pesticidal substances on specific water treatment plant and its sources of drinking water. Is made description of technology water treatment plant before and after the reconstruction, measured data of concetration pesticides in the sources and in the output from water treatment plant is processed to the tables and to the graphs. In conclusion are assessed effectiveness of the new technology for removing selected pesticidal substances and their metabolites.
The impact assessment of water treatment plants on water quality in the recipient
Kunert, Michal ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Šťastná, Gabriela (referee)
Watercourses influenced by anthropogenic activity increases in recent years and streams lose their natural character. This situation is critical particularly in small streams with minimal flow rates. The present work deals with the assessment of streams affected by discharges of treated wastewater from small waste water treatment plants. The results showed that in case of average flow in the recipient none of the monitored waste water treatment plants do not negatively affect the stream. Problems can occur when snow melts, when the lower temperature of the flowing water in the wastewater treatment plants negatively affect biological cleaning processes.
Reconstruction of Water Treatment Plant Babice

Evaluation of the Technical State of Water Treatment Plants
Přecechtěl, Karel ; Slavíčková,, Kateřina (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to create evaluation criteria of technical condition of water treatment plants. The thesis is divided into four parts. In the first part of this thesis are presented evaluation systems by performance indicators drinking water treatment plants, which are then applied in real time. There are detailed descriptions of individual performance indicators. Each evaluation conducted certain period of time. After the expiry of the period under review was to evaluate and create charts to display results. In the next chapter the thesis focuses on the identification data. First, it was necessary to find out all necessary information about the water treatment plant. Necessary information means information relating to building construction, human resources, mechanical parts, technological equipment and other entities with links to the operation of the water treatment plant. All these data were sorted for better overview and facilitate setting evaluation indicators. The third part of this thesis is focused on the development of indicators that are used to determine the current status of the water treatment plant. As a first step was established 19 indicators used to evaluate the condition of the entire water treatment plant. Followed by a description of the individual indicators and then determine the individual evaluation criteria. In the last part of this thesis was carried out by the proposed criteria on selected water treatment plants. They were selected three water treatment plants located in the Czech Republic, which held a personal tour of each water treatment plant. This was followed by an overall assessment of the technical condition of water treatment plants.
