Title: Children orthotics and prosthetics Objectives: The aim is to provide a comprehensive form of basic information about birth defects, systemic disease, amputations and disabilities in children, which in turn have an impact on the motor system, its development and use specific assistive devices. Methods: This is a qualitative research method of synthesis of information from various professional publications and non-standardized interviews with experts who are dedicated to this issue. Results: Work is to be summary information on selected diseases and disabilities, focusing on a child patient. The work includes the drafting of information material for parents. Objectives: The main aim of this work is to describe the matters of postoperative care for patients after leg amputation caused by diabetes and give possibilities of solutions from the aspects of prosthetics and physiotherapy. Methods: This work contains mainly references and documentary research. I used the method of data collecting mainly from medical resources such as scientific literature, magazines and other publications on the topic of postoperative care for patients with leg amputations. Results: The purpose of this work is the literature research that can be used as a source of information in the field of amputation surgery and postoperative care not only for diabetic patients. The text provides information for health professionals and also for the non-professional public. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. Summary: My bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of lower limb amputation. The theoretical part includes knowledge from the science information sources focused on the subject of amputation, prosthetics and to specific rehabilitation procedures. Attention is also paid to the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. The practical part focuses on the case study of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. It describes input and output kinesiological analysis, rehabilitation plan, course of the therapies and the final evaluation of the effect of the therapies. Methods: The methods used are those of information research. The data were obtained through a qualitative method of data collecting as well as a secondary analysis of information coming from academic articles, journals and other publications. Results: The thesis is based on information research and information gathered is presented in a complex and coherent form. In medicine, the thesis can be used by experts as a source of information in post-operative care of patients suffering from diabetes as well some other health problems. A plus is that information presented is comprehensible to the general public. The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to give an overview of the current state of lower limb prostheses after amputation between the hip and the knee. It deals with the human gait, its analysis and with deviations in gait with the prosthesis. It also describes basic division of lower limb prostheses. The main part is the description of these prostheses designs and especially the design of main components and general overview of available types.
A Survey Into The Occurrence of Architectural Barriers In Public Administration Offices In Relation To Physically Handicapped People (Localities Comparison: Soběslav and Tábor)\\

The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with basic terminology, defines physical handicap and describes different kinds of approach towards the handicapped. It explains the term prosthetics and describes some wheelchair mechanisms and accessories. The practical part uses a descriptive method of mapping barriers in chosen cities, that is Soběslav and Tábor. The second half of the practical part compares both localities. Based on the comparison of these data I was able to evaluate the chosen localities as to their effort to remove barriers in public administration offices.
