Compare the development of Czech and Polish capital market

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the development of Czech and Poland capital market. The work is dividend into three parts. The first part contains historical development of capital markets and the description of institutions in the capital market. In the second part of my thesis I focuse on comparison of both capital markets using various criteria and indicators. The third part is devoted to the idea of the current financial global crisis. In this part I deal with its influence on the capital market in Czech republic and Poland. The conclusion of this work includes the evaluation of the overall situation and also the outline of its future development.

The thesis deals with the Economic and Monetary Union and its implications for the Czech Republic and Poland. It defines the main terms, outlines the development of monetary integration in Europe and specifies the conditions necessary for introducing the euro. The main objective of the thesis is, based on an analysis of strategic documents of the Czech Republic and Poland, to assess their readiness to join the Economic and Monetary Union and to describe contributions and risks related to introducing the euro.
Euroregion Praděd - Czech-Poland Cross-border cooperation

The main issue of this diploma thesis are causes of subsidy border areas abeam European Union and its effects on the border area. It is supposed this grants bring on increase of socioeconomic level and integration with neighbouring state. Kritical approaches some authors to this premise were motivated me to research the system of subsidy boreder areas and practical verification on the example Euroregion Praděd/Pradziad. The idea of subsidy border areas is sure true, but oneness of every euroregion call for individual approach to aplication of the subsidy. Euroregion Praděd/Pradziad dispose of particular specifics too. This specifics are in this diploma thesis analysed. Often they are feeld like a barrier of development, but in Euroregion Praděd/Pradziad are some people, who feel this specifics like an opportunity of development.
Economic Transition of the four Visegrag Countries

The thesis describes some of the economic characteristics of central planned economy, afterwards focuses on goals, strategies and content of transition processes and finally focuses on application of some of the transition steps in the first decade of economic transition process from central planned economy to the market economy in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. The last part summarizes and evaluates some identical and different elements of approaches to the transition process in described countries.
The transition of trade relations in Visegrad countries

The aim of this work is to analyze the changes in foreign trade of former Czechoslovakia (Czech and Slovak Republic), Hungary and Poland after the year 1990. The thesis focuses predominantly on reorientation of foreign trade in terms of territory and commodity structure and points to the factors that determined this reorientation. The first part of the work deals with the situation before 1990 and the second part describes the development of foreign trade in the 1990s. Except from foreign trade, the thesis also draws attention to the changes in economic system in selected countries.
The Teschen region in Czech-Polish relations

In the main part of the thesis the conflict between Czechoslovakia and Poland over Teschen Silesia (1918-1945) is being analyzed and its impacts on the climate of Czech-Polish relations considered. Nevertheless, the whole issue is set into the frame of current events on the international political scene and is regarded not only as a regional matter but as one of the fundamental problems of international relations -- a conflict between two states over a border territory motivated by strategic and economic intentions. From the theoretical point of view, the conflict is applied on the methodology published in Waisová, Š.: Řešení konfliktů v mezinárodních vztazích.Further on the thesis deals with the current situation in the Teschen region with the emphasis on the position of the Polish national minority. That is supported by a survey focused on the quality of coexistence of various national groups in the region.
Communication and price strategy of a chosen company on its entrance to the Polish market enviroment with food supplements

This thesis concentrates especially on 2 instruments of marketing such as communication and price strategy of an elected company. At the beginning there is presented the company, the area of the business and it also looks briefly at Poland using macroeconomic indicators. The main part of the work starts with a description of communication instruments and the way of making media plan. After comes an analysis and evaluation of the efectivity of the corporation strategy by phone calls and the number of sold products. The part devoted to the price strategy consists of theoretical characteristics of price creation possibilities followed by a practical inquiry of competitors that helps to define a reasonable price. The thesis is ended with a SWOT analysis of company's potential.

Současný ekonomický vývoj Česka, Maďarska, Polska, Slovenska a Slovinska

This diploma thesis interprets processes of contemporary economic development in Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, whereas it is focused on the comparision of selected macroeconomic indicators and at the same time some main factors, which significantly influence the economic development in the area, are highlighted. According to the diploma thesis structure - chosen geographical, demographic, social and regional attributes are identified at first. Afterwards a brief view of transformation process to the free market economies leads to the chronologically organized characteristics of an economic development in the territory. The period of a primary interest begins with a phase 2003-2007 while the year 2008 and predictions of an on-coming development are discussed separately. The very last chapter recapitulates a progress in the euro adoption process and then examines an actual convergence criteria fulfilling in countries, which the euro currency haven't adopted (until 1. 1. 2009) yet.
PPP (Public Private Partnership) Projects in the countries of Visegrad Four

The diploma thesis is concerned with the problems of PPP projects (Public Private Partnership) in the countries of Visegrad Four. The term PPP can be understood as a cooperation of public and private sector. The principal aim of cooperation is to ensure public infrastructure and services. First part of thesis characterizes coutries of Visegrad Four, explains principles and benefits of PPP and informs about main countries and sectors in which PPP projects are realized. The core of the thesis is the fourth chapter which analyzes and evaluates V4 coutries on the basis of several criteria (legislation, institutional support, methodics and realized projects) and attempts to find out if those criteria influence the implementation and number of PPP projects in V4. Final part points out that PPP projects can be helpful for states in times of financial crisis to finance services or infrastructure if they do not have enough money.
