Fyziologické údaje získané z aeroelastického modelu kmitání lidských hlasivek
Horáček, Jaromír ; Laukkanen, A. M. ; Šidlof, Petr
The results of the numerical simulations show that the aeroelastic model for vocal fold self-oscillations corresponds well with the existing clinical data and it thus gives the possibility to study independently various phonation related variables that may in living subjects be obscured by the co-existence of many variables. Furthermore, the model of course naturally gives the possibility to study also such variables that are impossible to study in living subjects.
Počítačová simulace lidského hlasu s využitím aeroelastického modelu hlasivek a MKP modelu vokálního traktu člověka
Horáček, Jaromír ; Šidlof, Petr ; Švec, J. G. ; Griffond-Boitier, F.
The developed finite element (FE) model of real male vocal tract that corresponds to the Czech vowel /a/ is used for numerical simulation of phonation. The FE model was designed from the magnetic resonance images (MRI) of the subject during phonation. The acoustic signals for the vowel /a/ are simulated using the transient analysis of the FE model in time domain. For excitation of the acoustic supraglottal spaces the intraglottal pressure generated by the aeroelastic model of vocal folds self-oscillations is used. The frequency and time response functions are calculated in front of the mouth.
Coupling Self-Organization with Computations: A Minimal Life in a Sea of Artificial Molecules
Wiedermann, Jiří
We propose a formal abstract hybrid system, a so-called bacteroid, which in its activity combines computational and non-computational mechanisms. We show that in an environment of artificial molecules endowed by a certain self/organizational properties specific bacteroids hallmark minimal life: they are autonomous, replicate and obey Darwinian evolution.
Social security of students
Zaoralová, Jana ; Chvátalová, Iva (advisor) ; Spirit, Michal (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe complex issues in the social security system in relation to students, to identify their positions in all social security systems and especially in social insurance. According to the main objective the work is divided into three chapters. The first is a general part, where is mentioned how Social Security was created, how it evolved, what it means, what is the object, system and springs. The second chapter is focused directly on Social Security Czech Republic, shows how it is structured and which systems contains. The third chapter is very specific and is aimed directly at students. It is divided into four essential parts. The first unit deals with the position of students in sickness, pension and health insurance systems, but also in state aid and social assistance. The second part of the third chapter is refered to cases of overlapping studies, while self-employment and in part three overlapping studies and jobs. At the end of the third chapter the mention of even a single is, uncommon scenario, where the student performs during the study both activities, self-employment and also occupation. Question is, if the student has some benefits in social security. What advantages has self-employed person or employee, who is at the same time also a student?
Self-Efficacy and Work Efficiency
Markvart, Štěpán ; Hiršová, Miloslava (advisor) ; Kožichová, Lenka (referee)
The tagets of this thesis were to test with a chosen organization's staff how much self-efficacy depending of particular tasks affected the quality of fulfilling those tasks, to recommend suitable methods of increasing self-efficacy and to suggest a method of task formulation corresponding to social cognitive theory of man in organization. The research was done at a particular section of fiscal administration. The requisite information was obtained by questionnaire method, the received dates were compiled by the suitable statistical methods. The consequent results allowed to say there was no positive relation betwen self-efficacy during fulfilling particular tasks and the efficiency of the particular section's offices. One of the most important results was that self-efficacy itself did not affect the efficiency of the particular offices. The differences in the efficiency resulted from the managers'work. The thesis includes recommendations resulted from its targets.
Internet Gambling in the USA - regulation and prohibition
Kozák, Jakub ; Šíma, Josef (advisor) ; Ždímal, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on comparison of two political approaches to a quite new e-commerce industry -- internet gambling. These approaches are prohibition on the one hand and regulation, free market environment, on the other hand. Internet gambling became the worldwide phenomenon. However, American legislators had passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act 2006 in 2006 which outlawed an internet gambling. The declared purpose of this Act is protection of families against ill effects, such money laundering, underage gambling and problem gambling on society. This paper argues that regulation and free market environment established in Great Britain is much more effective way how to solve these key issues. There is demonstrated in the paper that free market stands for economically preferable option and contains better instruments for solving the issues at the same time.
