Iran in international relations

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the position of Iran in international scale on the basis of its relations to the countries in the Gulf region and the region of the Caspian Sea as well as its relations with today Western powers. The first two chapters are handling the domestic affairs in Iran. This theme is devided into two chapters --before the Islamic Revolution and after it. The third chapter describes the power structure in Iran briefly and deals also with the iranian democracy including the opposition. The forth chapter is crucial. It analyzes the relations of Iran to concrete countries or regions. The first part defines Iran as the player in the Near East region -- in the area of Persian Gulf and its relations to other close neighbours. The second part characterizes the position of Iran among the countries of the Caspian Sea and Russia. The third part studies its contemporary relations to the West countries -- USA and EU.

Comparison of Financial Statements according to Czech accounting standards and IAS/IFRS.

The thesis is based on the following of my bachelor thesis, which deals with ,, Accounting shutter in the selection accounting entity.? Now the theme will be extended by the comparison process accounts in the selected entity according to Czech accounting legislation (CAL) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In the practical part of the application will again be chosen by an entity of international trucking company KAFKA TRANSPORT, a. s. The main aim of my thesis is based on theoretical knowledge, to assess the selected items of balance sheet and profit and loss for the selected companies their reporting in the case of CAL and IFRS. International Accounting Standards that are world-renowned accounting system, which also binds to an entity operating in the Czech Republic.

Vedoucí diplomové práce PhDr. Petr Bednařík Ph.D. Abstrakt: Diplomová práce "Obraz sudetských Němců v českém tisku v krizovém roce 1938" se zabývá mediálním obrazem německé menšiny v Československu v období mnichovské krize (od dubna 1938 do podpisu mnichovské dohody), a to formou komparace, která zahrnuje ústřední tiskové orgány hlavních politických proudů té doby: u ČSDSD - Právo lidu, u ČSNS - České slovo, u ČND (Národního sjednocení) - Národní listy, u KSČ - Rudé právo, u ČSL - Lidové listy a u agrárníků (Republikánské strany zemědělského a malorolnického lidu) - Venkov. Práce se rovněž dotýká postojů českých fašizujících proudů k sudetským Němcům. Výstupy stranických periodik nejsou zkoumány izolovaně, ale i vzhledem k politickým postojům jednotlivých stran a je zohledněn vývoj těchto postojů v čase s tím, jak se krize prohlubovala, rozdělením zkoumaných témat do tří hlavních období roku 1938. V neposlední řadě jsou tyto postoje konfrontovány i s postoji tisku sudetských Němců. Práce je obecně zarámována pojednáním o mezinárodních a historických souvislostech...

Joint Africa-EU Strategy - comparison with other partnerships between the EU and African countries and reasons of approval

The core theme of this diploma thesis is the Joint Africa-EU Strategy. This treaty was signed by the EU and the African Union in 2007 in order to transform mutual relations, establish partnership and cooperation in several thematic areas. Considering the partnerships between EU and Sub-Saharan countries embedded in the Cotonou Agreement and the partnership between EU and North-African states incorporated in the Mediterranean partnership as well as in the EU Neighbourhood policy, this paper examines the role and reasons for creation of the new partnership. Guidance is provided by the theory of partnerships, which defines the basic characteristics of the type of international relations called this name. To the main conclusions of this work belongs that the new partnership has brought before all the broadening of cooperation in the security area and that the main motivations for conclusion of the treaty was influence in Africa from the side of the EU and strengthening of legitimacy and position and deepening of development cooperation from the side of the AU.

Model agreements on double taxation avoidance in the practice of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with international taxation, which is becoming an increasingly important issue due to the globalization of world economy in recent decades. International taxation is a broad topic including a variety of problems concerning it. Among the most important recognized phenomena are International double taxation and tax evasion. The conclusion of bilateral tax treaties seems to be the most efficient instrument for their solutions so far. Model Tax Conventions have been prepared by international organizations for the purposes of coordination of structure, wording and interpretation of numerous bilateral agreements. The OECD Model Treaty and the UN Model Treaty are widespread worldwide, being legally non- binding models for negotiations of bilateral agreements. In addition to those, the proposal of a new multilateral European Union Treaty has appeared. It should be signed by all members of the European Union, and it would replace all bilateral agreements concluded between the EU member states. Within the global community of other states and nations, the Czech Republic has an open and liberal economy. The topic of this bachelor thesis is economic diplomacy, which is considered as an instrument of foreign policy of the state to promote its interests abroad. Its importance is currently still growing, mainly due to economization of international relations. The aim is to analyze the system of economic diplomacy in the Czech republic and in the United States of America, to make their comparison and to propose appropriate recommendations to the Czech Republic for streamlining, inspired by the system of economic diplomacy in the USA.

Multilingualism in information policies of selected international organizations: comparison of the approaches of the Council of Europe and of the European Union

Tématem práce je mnohojazyčnost v prostředí informační společnosti, zejména jak je reflektována na internetu. Pozornost je zaměřena na přístup dvou mezinárodních organizací k tomuto fenoménu, a to Rady Evropy (RE) a Evropské unie (EU). Cílem diplomové práce je porovnat politiky těchto organizací, vztahující se k tématu mnohojazyčnosti, a to hlavně v kontextu mnohojazyčného zpřístupňování informací na jejich internetových portálech. Větší pozornost je věnována problematice přístupu k právním informacím. Práce se zaměřuje zejména na vzájemnou komparaci portálů RE a EU, s ohledem na odlišnou roli těchto organizací. Prostor je také poskytnut základní charakteristice obou organizací. V širším kontextu je sledována i mnohojazyčnost na internetu z evropského hlediska s akcentem na roli minoritních a majoritních jazyků v internetovém prostředí. Pro lepší zasazení mnohojazyčnosti do rámce informační společnosti jsou nastíněny i některé teorie informační společnosti spolu s postojem RE a EU k tomuto tématu.
