Physiotherapy in the eyes of the general public
ZACHOVÁ, Pavla
This bachelor degree thesis offers an analysis of the views of the lay public, i.e., non-medical persons, about physiotherapy. Physiotherapy forms a part of the complex process of rehabilitation, and plays an important role in preventive, diagnostic and medical care. This thesis consists of two sections: theory and practical. The theory section deals with the history of physiotherapy, complex rehabilitation and the International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health. The chapter entitled Physiotherapy explains the aims of this field, the training of physiotherapists and the scope of their work, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic tools used. This chapter also includes a code of ethics, a list of professional associations, a code of standards for physiotherapists, and possibilities of payments for the provided physiotherapeutic services. The final chapter of the theory section gives the definition of the words ?massage? and ?massage therapist?. The practical section aims to find out the level of knowledge the general public has about the meaning of the word ?physiotherapy? and its associated expressions, the physiotherapist training system, the uses to which physiotherapy and spa care could be applied, and the role physiotherapy plays in the Czech health system. My survey took the form of a quantitative research, and the data were collected from responses given in the questionnaires. Target groups were people from the regions of Vysočina and South Bohemia. They were classified into four age groups. The questionnaire consisted of 22 questions and the collected results were processed using the occurrence analysis method, and also displayed graphically. The survey proved that the general public needs to be better informed about the field of physiotherapy and physiotherapy treatment conditions. For this reason, an informative brochure containing all necessary information for the non-medical section of the population has been issued. This bachelor degree thesis can be used as learning material for current and former students of physiotherapy, as well as by other medical and non-medical professionals. It also encourages us to think about how to raise the image of physiotherapy both amongst the general public and healthcare specialists.

Insulin Therapy from A Nursing Perspective
JELÍNKOVÁ, Kateřina
Diabetes mellitus is a serious and incurable disease prone to specific complications, known since 1550 BC. Recent international studies have shown that approximately 347 million people suffer from diabetes and the number is still increasing. Diabetes is treated by taking dietary measures; in addition to diet and oral antidiabetic medication, exogenous insulin intake is the ultimate treatment option. It was the exogenous insulin administration in 1922 that brought up a revolution in the treatment of diabetes mellitus. Since then safer and user-friendlier insulins have been and still are developed. Insulin is stored in liquid form in vials or cartridges and is only administered intravenously; however, it is assumed that an equally effective application method will be found in the future. The aim of the thesis is to map out the specifics of nursing care of insulin therapy clients and to answer the following research question: ?What are the specific needs of clients with insulin therapy?? ?How is the nurse involved in the education of the client in terms of insulin therapy?? ?Do insulin therapy patients have enough information about diabetes mellitus and insulin therapy?? The thesis consists of a theoretical and research part. The theoretical part deals with information about diabetes mellitus, insulin, insulin therapy and the role of nurses in care of diabetic patients. The research part encompasses an inquiry carried out as an anonymous interview where ten diabetic patients with insulin therapy were asked semi-open and open questions. The acquired data were transformed into case studies and categorization tables. The research questions were answered and the objective was achieved. In conclusion, the research suggests that patients do not have enough information about diabetes and insulin therapy. Specifics of the nursing care of diabetic patients with insulin therapy depends on the patient's needs. Most patients mentioned the need for contact with other diabetic patients. Nurses are involved in the education of patients with insulin therapy primarily as teachers of application and handling the insulin pen. This thesis served as the basis for the creation of an educational material for nurses. This material may prove helpful for nurses as a guide in the process of training diabetic patients to use the insulin pen. Alternatively, it can be used by medical care students as a learning resource.

The analysis of Suffolk breed reproduction quality level in a particular herd
JANKOVSKÁ, Gabriela
This breeding have been monitored from 2010 to 2011 to evaluate the effect of rams on the number of fertilized, sterile, pregnant sheep and the number of unborn and dead lambs. The results have been estimated by averaging. In 2010, there were 123 ewes and younger female sheep fertilized and 116 of them remained pregnant. In 2011, there were 145 ewes and younger female sheep fertilized and 140 remained pregnant. Sterility of the sheep, that were fertilized in 2010 by three breeding rams, was on avarage 5,69 % and in 2011 by 4 breeding rams it was 3,45 %. Sterility dropped by 2,24 % in 2011. The percentage of gravidity in 2010 was 94,31 % and in 2011 as many as 96,55 %. And the percentage of fertility is the same as the percentage of gravidity. The number of fertilized ewes and younger female sheep grew by 2,24 % in 2011. When we compare death of lambs right after birth in 2010 the average was 4,21 % and in 2011 it was 5,83 %. Death of lambs in 2011 was higher than in 2010 by 1,62 %. The whole picture of breeding development shows the percentage of fertility. In 2010 the fertility of the herd was 154,30 % and according to the results we can see good breeder's results and the choice of new breeding rams; fertility was increased to 162,79 %. In 2009 it was 148 % and in 2010 was increased by 6,30 % and in 2011 it was raised again, compared to 2011, by 8,49 %. In conclusion, according to the observation and assessment of the particular herd, it is obvious that the breeder successfully increased the fertility of his breeding in comparison to the previous years. Modification in the herd by replacing the rams has been a successful step and it helped to improve the reproduction qualities results and it proves the good feritility of rams in this herd.

Tax Optimalization of The Business Subject
Kuchyňková, Hana ; Prokůpek, Petr (referee) ; Svirák, Pavel (advisor)
Tax optimization is a legal technique to decrease tax liability without breaking the law. The Czech legislation enables several ways to legally reduce revenues and therefore the individual as well as corporate income tax. For that reason, taking advantage of this option is a logical conduct of every taxable unit. This B. A. thesis aims to analyze the tax burden of an employee company and propose the best solution of tax minimization of the particular company. Possibilities of tax optimization are mentioned in this thesis, namely superannuation scheme allowence, personal life insurance allowance, food allowance (meal tickets), long-term property renewal provision, utilising the tax allowance in connection with reduced working capacity employees, acquiring immaterial tangible assets, acquiring long-term tangible assets and tax relief when providing donations. The aforementioned options indicate the best ways of minimizing the tax burden. However, not every company in the Czech Republic can take advantage of all the options, since individual entrepreneurial subjects are specific in their own way, making the particular company choose the most appropriate way of tax optimization.

Simulation predictions of the Czech economy
Vejdělková, Dita ; Hušek, Roman (advisor) ; Formánek, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis is composed of three main parts. The first part is theoretical and I deal here with economic relationships between macroeconomic magnitudes. Second part dedicated to the econometric theory of prognosis follows, in which I deal with different types of prognoses and prediction methods used at present. In the third, practical, part my intended aim is to create the best possible models of relations between fundamental macroeconomic magnitudes, using real Czech economy data, and to make simulation predictions of these magnitudes based on acquired models while utilising scenario analysis. First, I deal with choice of MSE and VAR models. Then follows the estimate of particular models and validation of prognostic capabilities of particular models for static and dynamic simulation. I conclude with elaboration of macroeconomic magnitudes prognosis while using scenario analysis.

Detekce LRP pomocí Emotiv EPOC
Bártík, Radovan ; Samec, Marek (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
Emotiv EPOC is a low-cost consumer headset capable of acquiring a raw EEG signal. The thesis evaluates its usage for an acquisition of research event-related potentials. A controlled laboratory experiment was performed with an objective of isolating the Bereitschaftspotential (Readiness Potential) and other movement-related potentials and comparing the results with the results of the previous research. The possibility of measuring the potential with Emotiv EPOC was not confirmed, most probably due to procedural issues during the experiment, however, further analysis of the data suggests its presence. Other outcomes of the research include qualitative findings about the headset, mainly its hardware construction, and testing feedback of EEGLab, an open source toolbox for EEG processing and visualization.
