Further, the thesis offers an overview of options to extend the vehicle capabilities with the car computer created with the Raspberry Pi Zero W. The thesis provides hands-on experience and is stuctured into two parts. The first, theoretical section focuses on Internet of Things and Machine to Machine communication. It also describes the currently available smart car solutions on the market, their pros and cons. The practical part of this thesis describes design and creation of a smart computer based on Raspberry Pi Zero W with draft of self-made security system from vehicle containing a motion sensor and a camera. It also includes a development and integration steps with a mobile application capable of viewing the static information regarding the car state, such as Rotations per minute. Vehicle speed, etc. The created system also has the capability of informing the user about it's current location on request.
Universal Tester of Radio Conditions for Narrowband IoT Communication Technology
Možný, Radek ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
Technology Narrowband IoT is a representative LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) tech-nology that due to its promising features aims for demands of the Internet of Thingsapplications for autonomous data sending from sensors in areas of poor mobile coverage. For such applications, it is beneficial to firstly map properties of communication technol-ogy in areas of intended use and evaluate whether or not is this technology applicable. This Master thesis deals with the design of the hand-held measuring device for evaluationof Narrowband IoT properties. The output of this thesis is firstly comparison of LPWAtechnologies secondly, design of the mentioned device and verification of its functional-ity. And in last part description of measurement of transmission delay for delay-tolerantapplications. Transmission delay is a critical parameter for delay-tolerant applications.Such an application can be, for example, smart electrometers for which there is definedmaximal allowed transmission delay of 10 seconds and therefore it is desirable to evalu-ate whether or not is the deployment of the communication technology Narrowband IoTsuitable in the intended area for delay-tolerant or even for delay-intolerant applications.
Multi-radio Tester Utilizing LoRaWAN and Narrowband IoT Communication Technologies
Novotný, Jaromír ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This Master thesis is focused on the design and consequential realization of the Multi-RAT communication device. The theoretical part describes a comparison of two promising communication LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) technologies that are available to use in the Czech Republic. These technologies are NB-IoT (NarrowBand-Internet of Things) and LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network). The practical part contains a description used components, their consequential fitting and testing of designed printed circuit board of the device. The thesis also describes the implementation of software and realized measurement. Technical documentation of a device can be found in the appendix of this thesis.

The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to investigate the smart devices field together with technologies linked to it. Further, it describes the implementation of Google Assistant to Raspberry Pi 3 and options of controlling it via the Dialogflow platform. The thesis provides hands-on experience and is structured into two parts. The first, theoretical section focuses on Internet of Things and Device to Device communication. It also describes currently available smart home assistants and their functionalities. The thesis also describes the Dialogflow platform together with it's functionalities and options of it's use. The practical part of this thesis describes implementation of the Google Assistant in Raspberry Pi 3, development and integration of application created for it and the creation of home weather station.
Universal Home Gateway for IoT Devices
Šelinga, Martin ; Krejčí, Jan (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis consists of theoretical description of M2M communication and main differences comparing with H2H communication. There is also a description of protocols used in Internet of Things and description of practical implementation of protocols WM-BUS and Z-Wave in Python programming language with usage of Django framework.
Implementation of M2M Data Generator Utilizing Communication Protocol Wireless M-BUS in Smart Grid Infrastructure
Pomocí grafického i textového uživatelského rozhraní program umožňuje uživateli vytvořit Wireless M-Bus telegramy s velmi vysokou úrovní detailu a ty následně s využitím některého z podporovaných hardwarových zařízení periodicky odesílat do Wireless M-Bus sítě.
Application for Smart Meter Data Readout Using Zigbee Technology
Bräuer, Jonáš ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Zeman, Kryštof (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with communication of wireless devices using ZigBee technology. In the theoretical part, the ZigBee protocol is compared to other technological solutions of sensor networks (WPAN and LPWAN) and its structure is being explained. In the practical part, a Java application for remote configuration and data collection has been created.
Applications for Wearable Devices based on Android Wear OS
Šmejkal, Petr ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The semestral project "Application for Android Wear wearables” describes basic principles of the communication network - M2M (machine to machine), H2H (human to human) and D2D (device to device). It is also focused on wearables especially smart watches, available operation systems for smart watches and system Android, Android Wear. In the practical part is described functionality, design and structure of developed application for Android wear smartwatch.
Experimental Evaluation of IEEE 802.11ac/ad Wireless Technology Properties
Jošťák, Matej ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Zeman, Kryštof (advisor)
This bachelor work is about experimental verification features of wireless network, with focused on high speed transfers. For measurement was chose standard IEEE 802.11ac/ad. In the theoretical part, we describe the Internet of Things and communications between devices, especially the M2M communication. Then in work follows the chronological description of standard IEEE 802.11. The practical part is about describing the used hardware, after which follow the detailed describe of theoretical and practical realization of application and measurements itself. The last part of work is about measured values, its evaluation and makes conclusions. In the inclosure are source codes of our applications and graphs.
Application for Smart Meter Data Readout with Subsequent Sending to the Central Database
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Zeman, Kryštof (advisor)
This thesis explores new posibilities of using mobile devices, specificaly cell phones and tablets which support the USB OTG feature, to read data from smart electricity meters. To achieve this goal, an application for OS Android was developed in practical part of this thesis. This mobile application communicates with electricity meters via optical sensor serving as serial line and using the DLMS/COSEM standard. Acquired data are saved to a remote database for further use.
