Relevance of the Regional Development Agencies in the Relation to the Regional Development

Diploma thesis "Relevance of the Regional Development Agencies in the Relation to the Regional Development" in the forepart puts regional development agencies to the context of the theoretic frameworks, which works with during their analysis. It is possible to classify the regional development agencies as significant actors in the area of regional development. The goal of this diploma thesis is to notify the importance of the regional development agencies using quantification of inputs and outputs of their activities to sort the agencies into different categories. The categorization of the regional development agencies will form conditions for partial comparison and evaluation of operation of these agencies.

The folk culture as a factor of tourism development in the region of Valašsko

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the importance of folk culture for tourism development and to suggest options for better evaluation and effective use of the potential of folk culture tourism in the selected region based on the results of the analysis in the region of Wallachia. In the introduction of the practical part I deal with the current supply of Wallachia. The fundamental part was quantitative marketing research in the form of a questionnaire survey. The aim of the survey was to identify the participants of tourism in terms of demographic characteristics, determine the purpose of the visit, analyse their financial expenses, and identify subjective perception of culture and assessment of infrastructure and services in the region. I designed a new product called "Wallachia hunt", which aim was to involve young people in the Wallachia culture, tourism allows participants to actively and an interesting way to travel around the region and specifically to discover its natural and cultural wealth. "Wallachia hunt" is based on the worldwide known activity called geocaching. In my work I have put together a detailed proposal for annual testing of this activity.

Comparison of the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru in 1966-1979

The Bachelor thesis "Comparison of the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru in 1966- 1979" is concerned with the regionalist parties of Scotland and Wales which achieved a substantial rise in popular support in the late 1960s and in the 1970s. Their electoral success led the Labour government to pass the acts which were supposed to introduce devolution to both regions but failed to achieve a sufficient support in the referenda. The thesis examines which of the two parties was more successful in enforcing its core policy and why. The first chapter classifies SNP and Plaid Cymru, determines their priorities and describes their origin and development. The second chapter analyses the electoral performance of SNP and Plaid Cymru, their ideological transformation, campaigns, electoral base and their attitude to the devolution bills and to the subsequent referenda. The last chapter determines that the SNP was the more successful party because it achieved better results in elections and the proposed Scottish Assembly was about to possess greater powers than the Welsh Assembly. This had two main reasons. First, the language division of Wales prevented Plaid Cymru from securing support throughout the whole region and made it rely on the welsh-speaking minority of the north-west. The opportunities for graduates of Tourism Industry at the University of Economics on the labour market

The thesis looks at a detailed survey of jobs opportunities for graduates of tourism industry at the University of Economics on the labour market. The theoretical parts deals with the definition of the Tourism, actual position of Tourism labour market in the Czech Republic, factors which influence the job exercise of graduates and the causes of the graduates unemployment. A part of the thesis belongs to review of companies in the Tourism Industry, getting of workforce with the inclusion of ways of occupying places at these companies. The possible job opportunities, suitable for graduates of Tourism Industry according to the ways of getting workforce, are located in the framework of analytic part. Another chapter of the thesis is devoted to the detailed questionnaire which is focused on student's and graduate's expectations of their possible job oppostunities. As students and graduates of the University of Economics constitute the supply on the labour market, the thesis includes also evaluation of demand on the Tourism labour market in the selected region of the capital of the Czech Republic.

Putting the personell standards of quality of social-service work in Zvoneček facility into practice

In the Czech Republic has been proceeding extensive transformations social-service work for more than 17 years. The important changes are the Act of of social-service work and putting the quality standards of socialservice work into practice. Master`s work deals with personal standards of quality at Zvoneček facility - social services provider based in Český Brod. The theoretical part is considering social-service work, system and functions of social security, welfare work, social services, quality standards of socialservice work and the Act of social-service work. This part is comprised by the methodology chapter relating to quality and quantity research practices used in work. The practical part describes Zvoneček facility whose management together with the associates emulate the trend of social-practice work and aim to adopt provided services to quality standards of social-service work. The research purpose was to demonstrate whether personal standards of quality of social-service work put into practice in Zvoneček facility Český Brod are practically observed and whether they were not put just as a matter of form. The result from stated attainment is that the Zvoneček facility can serve to show the way to similar profiling institutions in a region.

Social services and the role of non-governmental organizations in social security

Social services are an important part of the system of social assistance. The object of social services is to help citizens in unfavourable social situations regarding their health, age, handicap or other serious grounds, if they can not solve their situation themselves. The services aim to maintain the highest possible quality and dignity for their clients. Social services provide meals, accommodation, assistance with bridging unfavourable social situations, care for people with a limited ability in the area of personal and home care, assistance with bringing up a children and also social counselling. The providing of social services was regulated by the social services act number 108/2006 Sb. This act shows actual trends that are similar in the whole Europe and brings a new approach to social services. Organization and control over this area of work belongs to the ministry of labour and social affairs in cooperation with regions and municipalities. This thesis focuses on the position of providers of social services after the adoption of the above social services act. I focus on the Rakovník region, in which I analyze the influence of the economic crisis on unemployment.

Expenditures on active and passive labour market policies in CR between 1993 and 2014

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyses expenditures on active and passive labour market policies (ALMP and PLMP) and to answer the question why there were changes in the proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP in Czech Republic between 1993 and 2014. Thesis also aims to asses future (post-crissis) development of the expenditures on state labour market policy. The theoretical part of this work examines state employment policy and its division into ALMP and PLMP, focusing on Czech Republic and ALMP tools. The practical part of this thesis analyses both absolute and relative terms expenditures on ALMP and PLMP between 1993 and 2014 and puts them into relation with unemployment and GDP, with government objectives and other important facts (EU entry). The total amouth of expenditures on state labour parket policies has been rising since 1993. The proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP was going through significant changes and the role of ALMP increases in time. Nevertheless, the average value of expenditures on PLMP for the entire period is almost twice the average expenditure on ALMP.

Comparison of income taxes in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom

This bachelor´s work compares personal income taxes in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. It is divided into two parts. About the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom with detailed description of structural components of tax. Tax rates are differentiated in the United Kingdom, but in the Czech Republic there is linear tax rate with solidary increase of tax. In the United Kingdom there is put the highest emphasis on collection of personal income tax. This collection constitutes 27,5 % of total tax revenues. In the Czech Republic it is 10,5 %. Tax quota is similar in both of countries. Implicit tax rate on labour is higher in the Czech Republic. In the United Kingdom there is effective tax rate about 15 %. In the Czech Republic there is effective tax rate about 12 % in last years.

Unemployment and risk groups in the labor market in the Pardubice region

The thesis deals with the problems of unemployment, focusing on unemployment risk groups on the labour market in a particular region. Pardubice region is the selected region. Analysis of unemployment is made for the period 2000-2015. The position of the Pardubice region is specified as part of a nationwide trend. The basic Elementary characteristics of the time series are used to determine the basic trends in the developments of indicators. In the next part of the work a questionnnaire survey is made among the residents of the selected area, which is a survey of views on unemployment in residence place and personal experience with unemployment and employment
