Social services and the role of non-governmental organizations in social security
Vlčková, Táňa ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee) ; Přib, Jan (referee)
This study is focused on actual problems, which came up after the new Social Services Act came into force on January 1, 2007 and its updating, from the view of one group of the user sof social services- seniors. In the thesis is important charter, which described restrictive measures issues. Legislation is inadequate in this direction and even in comparison with international rules, which deals mainly with the protection of human rights. Fortunately, the situation is improving and with increasing demands on social service facility level of care is improving rapidly. In this work we find an important chapter focused on the gentle self-defense, which uses techniques of Aikido martial arts in conjunction with the restrictive measures and self- defense, so that the intervention was friendly to the client, but also the most effective. The basis, however, is the desire to avoid any physical intervention of moderate means, such as distraction, and active listening are. I attend to this topic more in in recent years and I add my lecture on this subject in Annex I, which was intended for workers in social services. Because I attend to volunteering focused on the old people till my high school years, is this study mainly about them and their view of social services. It is generally prohibited any...

Nursing care about a patient under the influence of alcohol
TOMAŠÁKOVÁ, Zuzana
Abstract- Nursing Care for a Patient under the Influence of Alcohol This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of nursing care for patients who are under the influence of alcohol. "Alcohol is the most spread and widely used psychoactive drug that is greatly accepted within our socio-cultural environment" (Fišer S., J. Škoda, 2009, p. 99). Today's hurried times influence greatly both the psychological and economic aspects of our lives. Therefore, there are many people who, when suffering from a stressful situation, decide to reach after alcohol as a crutch that should mitigate all negative impacts of today's times. But only a handful of them realize that alcohol does not solve any of these problems but rather worsens the situation, whether in the family or in the job. Alcohol causes serious health problems to manypeople and consequently they are forced to seek help in health-care facilities. In a worstcase scenario, it can happen that they end up on the streets and become homeless.Frequently, especially during winter, they have to be taken to a hospital. After the examination they are either hospitalized or, if not seriously injured, referred to a sobering-up centre. Of course, this situation also concerns other people who are under the influence of alcohol, not only the homeless. The nursing care of these patients has to face many problems, whether in terms of communication or aggressiveness. In the theoretical part of the thesis we discussed the terms alcohol, its history, its influence on our organism, the problematic of alcohol drinking among young people, blood and breath alcohol testing, origins and development of the alcohol addiction and its consequences. Moreover, we have examined the impact of alcohol on an individual's social environment, communication, aggression, the patient - nurse relationship, professional deformation and burn-out syndrome. Two objectives were created to comply with the plan. Objective No.1: To describe the approach of nurses to patients who are under the influence of alcohol. Objective No.2: To find out what issues have to face the nurses who take care of patients under the influence of alcohol. Consequently, two research questions were framed. Research question No.1: What are the specifics of the nursing care of a patient affected by alcohol. Research question No.2: What is the approach of nurses to patients who are under the influence of alcohol. The practical part of this thesis contains the results of a qualitative research that is based on an in-depth semi-structured interview conducted with nurses from the hospital Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. We have approached twelve nurses to take part in this research; the only condition was their work in a ward where they frequently meet with patients under the influence of alcohol. Therefore, we have cooperated with nurses working in emergency department, in intensive care unit and in internal intensive unit. Subsequently, based on the open coding method, every nurse was assigned with a number (from one to twelve). The lines in the thesis mentioning the nurses' answers were numbered in order to refer to them. Using the method of "paper and pencil" important information was highlighted in the text and subsequently, the "showdown" technique was used to divide the gained data into five categories that were then divided into subcategories. The research investigation has provided answers to both research questions. The interviewed nurses stated that the main problems concerning the work with patients under the influence of alcohol are communication, as they have to communicate with these patients very carefully, calmly, to inform them in most cases only about the most important steps, and aggression which is a very common consequence of drunkenness. The cooperation with the police also becomes an integral part of the nursing care of patients under the influence of alcohol, because the saf.

Mašindová, Jana ; Náhlá, Jana (advisor) ; Svěcená, Kateřina (referee)
Full name: Jana Mašindová Supervisor: Mgr. Jana Náhlá Proposal for creation Snoezelen room in a geriatric centre Snoezelen therapy is carried out in a specially adapted room. It is a room equipped with a device that stimulates all human senses. Snoezelen room offers visitors opportunity to experience understanding, interaction and relaxation. Visitors are not forced to do activities; on the contrary, they may apply their own will and practise everything they like and what is enjoyable for them. The Bachelor thesis focuses on the use of Snoezelen room for geriatric clients. There are plenty of workplaces for child clients in the Czech Republic that tend to use Snoezelen room. However, there are only few workplaces dealing with Snoezelen for geriatric population, even though the method is utilized by this clientele abroad pretty often. The theoretical part of this paper summarises the area of Snoezelen and dementi, which abounds in old age quite frequently, as well. Moreover this section describes basal stimulation, which has extensive effect on people suffering from dementia and last but not least a link between the Snoezelen room and basal stimulation is mentioned here. The practical part analyses contemporary state and evaluates answers to the question: "How can a Snoezelen room be arranged and...

Title: Marketing mix of a new emerging sports facility Objectives: The primary objective of this work is to formulate the draft of an emerging sport facility and build its marketing mix, which represents a set of necessary arrangements for the implementation of marketing strategy aimed at achieving the business plan. Methods: For the development of this work was used qualitative research method in the form of a structured interview with open questions, which was carried out with representatives of the three facilities providing similar services. Based on these interviews, together with the quantitative method of written inquiries, applied to a sample of potential future customers was created the SWOT analysis model for this emerging facility. These methods, along with the method of competition analysis using Porter's five forces model and PEST analysis of external influences, played a key role in shaping the actual marketing mix. Results: Researches in this work confirm that the target group of respondents is really interested in development of a new sport facility. The analysis in this work points to the potential threat that could threaten the implementation of the project. Thanks to these findings, it is possible to be prepared for these possible dangers and threats in time, or to try to prevent...

The support of the presence of a father throughout a birth from midwives point of view
MAŠKOVÁ, Jana
The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is Support of Fathers? Attendance at Midwifery. The Thesis is dividend in two parts, theoretical and practical ones. The theoretical part concentrates on the father?s role within the pregnancy and in the course of delivery, on the midwife?s care during the delivery as well as on both laymen and professionals? opinions on the fathers? attendance at delivery. Nowadays, fathers? birth attendance appears quite a common thing, which did not use to be obvious in the past. However, we can meet with various views of the matter. The first aim of the research investigation was to ascertain the midwive?s opinion on fathers? birth attendance, and the way they support those fathers attending the birth. The second aim was to ascertain how much the fathers were satisfied with the midwive?s support. So as to reach these aims, the qualitative research investigation in the form of semi-structured interviews was adopted. The research sample was made up by eight midwives from the Maternity Unit of the Hospital in Třebíč, and eleven randomly chosen partners/fathers attended the births in this Hospital. The data collected from the interviews were processed via the quantitative analysis. It was ascertained that the midwives had a positive approach towards the fathers? birth attendance, and they preferred cooperation with those partners/fathers who had not been made to their attendance in any way. The midwives expressed their support for the partners/fathers attended in form of their communication with both of the expectant parents, and not forcing the partners they tried to involve them in the delivery process. Fathers/partners mentioned that they did not feel to be a burden but a part of the team. Concerning the midwive?s support, most of the interviewed partners/fathers found it satisfactory. Only one of them did not need this support, he claimed it for his wife only. Other two of the interviewed fathers/partners did not feel the support of the midwives. The results of this research investigation could be used as the information material for the midwives working at the delivery room, or for students studying this specialization, and for the expectant fathers as well.

The Integration of Displaced Persons into the Soviet Occupation Zone
Ordeltová, Susan Michelle ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Jaroslav (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the integration of displaced persons of German nationality from post-war Poland and Czechoslovakia who were forced by post-war conditions to resettle into the Soviet occupation zone of Germany, later GDR. Although it may seem that the integration had been successful, there were lots of partial problems that shouldn't be forgotten. The chaos at the beginning caused by mostly spontaneous and unorganized expulsions complicated the starting position of displaced Germans who saved just little possession and had limited possibilities to start a new life in a new home. The first steps to integration began with registration in camps. Then it was needed to give the displaced persons new home, some material belongings and a job. This was a years-lasting process. In 1948 the Soviet military administration of Germany recognized integration as to be done. It was the end of the official political integration; however the differences between old and new citizens stayed still visible.

Mechanical properties and structure of microcrystalline materials
Turba, Kryštof
Mechanical properties and structure of microcrystalline materials Krystof Turba Abstract In thepresent work, high temperature deformation of anAl - 4,5Mg~ 0,2Zr - 0,2 Sc alloy produced by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) was studied. The aim of the investigation was to find a correlation between the mechanical properties of the material at elevated temperatures and its specific microstructure resulting from the severe plastic deformation during ECAP. Special attention was devoted to the stabilizing effect of the Zr and Sc additions on the ultra-fine grained (UFG) microstructure at elevated temperatures and its possible consequences for the occurrence of superplastic behavior. The material with 6 passes of ECAP at 523 K, route BC, was studied using the methods of light microscopy (LM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). A series of tensile tests were performed at temperatures between 573 and 823 K. The grain size after ECAP was found to be < 1 jim and remained < 10 fxm up to a temperature as high as 798 K. This outstanding stability of the UFG microstructure can be attributed to the presence of Al3(ZrxSci_x) precipitates. Consequently, the studied alloy exhibited high strain rate superplasticity over a broad interval of temperatures ranging from 573 to 798 K....

Subjective opinion of people suffering from coeliac on availability of products for people with coeliac on the Czech market
NOVOTNÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with subjective opinion of the people suffering from celiac disease on the availability of products for celiacs on Czech market. At the beginning, there were two main objectives. The first main objective was to explore whether the products available on the market in the Czech Republic cover the needs of celiac patients. The second objective was to explore whether the patients are satisfied with these products. The research questions were set as follows: "In which stores patients prefer to do their shopping?", "Are patients satisfied with the price of products compared to their quality?" and "How patients evaluate the sensory aspects of food?" The theoretical part of my thesis describes celiac disease with all its difficulties. It briefly describes the process of its recognition and its current occurrence in the Czech Republic and some foreign countries. It also describes the clinical picture and the types of forms of celiac disease at a patient, complex diagnostic procedures when there is a suspicion of this fatal disease, malnutrition risk, associated diseases and possible complications. Last but not least, it is concerned with the gluten-free diet, which is the only current treatment for celiac disease. Along with that, the thesis is dedicated to raw materials and food for celiacs: accessibility, large financial cost coverage of gluten-free diet, product labelling and legislation. In order to develop the research part, the method of qualitative research was chosen, specifically, a semi-structured interview. The interview contained thirteen questions, so as to achieve the objective of the thesis and so that the research questions given in advance were answered. The research sample included five celiac patients, both men and women in the age range of 18 to 49 years. Data were being collected from January 2013 to April 2013. The results of this work show that patients prefer to combine shopping in the so-called "healthy food stores" where the shop assistants have more knowledge on the issue and are able to help them to choose the most suitable products, and shopping in large stores and the "gluten-free" departments there. Respondents also claim that in supermarkets, the shop assistants are not able to help and often do not even know what the celiac disease is. All respondents also shop in their area of living, which proves the increasing availability of gluten-free products, which is sufficient to cover the common needs of celiac patients. The market situation in the Czech Republic in the last ten years has changed dramatically to the better and there is no specific food that respondents would completely miss in the stores. When shopping, the respondents look for specific, pre-tested products. On the contrary, patients are less inclined to on-line shopping. Another significant criterion for selecting gluten-free food is also its price. The financial demands of a gluten-free diet are a big problem, because gluten-free raw materials and food are from 4 to 10 times more expensive than the same commodity containing gluten. Patients are therefore often forced to break the rules of their diet, because they simply do not have the finances for the gluten-free products. Sensory aspect of gluten-free products is also not evaluated very positively by the patients. The problem is seen mainly in bakery products such as bread, rolls and buns. The structure of these products is not suitable, as it often crumbles and breaks, or, on the other hand, is sticky. They would also like to extend the range of pastries to avoid stereotypes in their diet. Another sensory aspect of bakery products-taste was not evaluated positively as well. However, they do not see the difference in warm food and mostly in home-made sweet pastries such as cakes or pies.

Examination of respiratory disorders stereotypes and their effects on the musculoskeletal system PF JU students aged 19 to 25 years
MAREŠ, Martin
The main task of this thesis was an examination of breathing stereotypes on selected students of Pedagogical faculty aged from 19 to 25. The other objective was to develop an intervention programme according to which the selected students participated in six weeks lasting workouts that were focused on breath training with consecutive heightening of their physical efficiency. A method of content analysis was used for analysing literature and a method of content synthesis was used for application of gathered information and for creating the intervention programme. For the examination of breathing stereotypes a muscle dynamometer was used which is able to record a movement dynamics and simultaneously to record a breathing activity dynamics. The vital capacity was measured through a forced expiratory vital capacity (FVC) when also a value of one second exhale was recorded (FEV1). This test was performed in standing upright position on the machine Spirometr Otthon, evaluation was processed in the Thorsoft programme. The study was participated by six students who at first passed out an entrance examination where the main values were defined, then the intervention programme and after the end of it the participants underwent a checking (output) examination. During processing of the thesis it was confirmed that the developed intervention programme, which is based on aerobic exercises and completed with resistance training, has a factual and statistical significant effect on strengthening the respiratory muscles which are activated by the diaphragmatic breathing within resting breathing and deepened breathing. For the determination of the substantive significance the Cohen's d was used, then the paired Student´s t test for dependent samples.
