Evaluation of availability and efficiency of statistical data for research on agricultural geography
Martinát, Stanislav
Paper is dealing with problem of statistical data availability and efficiency for research carried out in agricultural geography. Aim of the paper is to evaluate contemporary state of availability and efficiency of so-called hard data, that are gathered by both govermental (administration) and non-governmental (NGOs) authorities. The most problematic issue availability of data is, respectively its nonavailability on the level of spatial units other than large (regions, districts). Next problem we see in using of different systems of gathering data by various authorities. Problem is also complicated efficiency for time comparisons because of changes in methodologies used in agricultural censuses.

Optimalizace manipulace s materiálem v zemědělském podniku
Kovář, Martin
This thesis is focused on the optimization of material handling on the farm as a set of measures that lead not only to increase the efficiency of utilization of handling equipment , but also the effectiveness of management activities on the farm. The first part briefly describes the current state of agriculture in the Czech Republic , provides an overview of materials handling and agricultural transport systems. Another important part is the review of literature on economics and farm management . In the practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of industrial activity in a particular company . Based on the evaluation of analysis lines for silage harvest is then evaluated the effect of the type of kit -hour performance and fuel consumption . The conclusion then discussed the results of work and proposals to increase the competitiveness of the reporting enterprise.

Lesson Activity Toolkit in the Smart Notebook software for interactive board
HAJDUCH, Petr
Lesson Activity toolkit is a collection of mini applications (applets) in the Smart Notebook software. It serves for creating educational materials with the use of the interactive board. It is a flash application which can be loaded with an extra content. This Bachelor's thesis focuses on these applications - it will elaborate on how these activities are used in contemporary education, how to work with them and which modules are not present in the gallery and could expand it efficiently. It also examines the possibility of creating and translating these modules and their implementations into the SmartNotebook program interface.

Small farm operations - dairies
BOROVKOVÁ, Lucie
This thesis presents problems of small dairy farm on the example of farm operations employed in the South Bohemian Region. It will define the goal of the work focused on the evaluation of the current situation in farm processing of milk with regard to the objective of the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013. The strategy aims to increase the efficiency of agricultural production.

Multi-Stage Gasification System and Its Practical Applications for the Commercial Production of Electricity and Heat from Biomass
Skoblia, S. ; Picek, I. ; Beňo, Z. ; Pohořelý, Michael
The article reports the experience with long-term operation of a cogeneration unit of 100 kWe. Wood chips are dried in integrated dryer and used as a fuel for downdraft gasifier. Raw gas with an average LHV of 6.0 MJ/m3 contains a small amount of dust solid particles. Impurities are removed by a hot filter (dust) operated in range 390-500°C and scrubber (tar) with an organic medium operating in a closed cycle. The electrical efficiency is about 24 %, total is about 75 %. The CHP operates since 2009 and has logged more than 15,000 hours of operation.

Environmentally friendly technologies using nanoiron apllicable for wastewater treatment from surface processing
Holba, Marek ; Škvoran, O. ; Plotěný, K. ; Zbořil, R. ; Slunský, J.
The surface processing and refinement of metals leads to the wastewater production that contains toxic and hazardous compounds, i.e. heavy metals and cyanides. The recent wastewater treatment technologies usually offer inadequate solutions that are either not so efficient or economic. Our environmentally friendly solution offers novel attitude based on the application of specific iron compounds.

The use of geophysical measurements in the Settlement Pattern of Prehistoric Bohemia Project
Křivánek, Roman
The six-year project Settlement Pattern of Prehistoric Bohemia (1997-2002) has been basen on a wide cooperation of non-destructive methods (aerial and geophysical prospection, systematic field walking, geoarchaeology etc.). This paper summarize wide range of efficient aplication of geophysical (mainly magnetometric) surveys of different types of newly identified archaeological sites (settlement areas, hill-forts, barrow fields, production areas, closed and open linear features and enclosures, archaeological situations with unclear site interpretation or sites of unknown origin).

Evaluation of epidemic of VHA in region Frýdek-Místek
Halešová, Ilona ; Dáňová, Jana (advisor)
In the second half of the year 2008, there was an increased occurrence of the hepatitis A viral disease quoted in the Frydek-Mistek region. There were 54 cases reported in total, 52 of which concerned permanent residents of the region and were reported to the EPIDAT system. In terms of anti-epidemic isolation of the disease epicenters, the anti-epidemic department adopted a number of measures to prevent the spread of the disease. It was decided that 976 people must be under increased sanitary supervision, 19 cases of which were proceeded to an absolute ban of activities. Sanitation was ordered in schools and other places of work where the decease had previously appeared. In cooperation with practitioners, 189 people were vaccinated in the first and the second period of pronounced extra vaccination. Another 355 people were vaccinated directly in the epidemic centers. To assure the particular measures, the workers from the anti-epidemic section cooperated with section of food hygiene, section of communal hygiene and general hygiene, as well as with other state administration authorities, such as social department of the city hall of Frydek-Mistek, municipal police, contact centre RENARKON workers and others. Many contacts were passed to other working places of public health protection not only in the Czech...

Experimental data processing in real time
Veselý, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The thesis completes the current programming equipment for experimental measurement of isolated animal heart signals. It adds a block providing the pre-processing of the signals. The signals measured are the elektrogram (EG) and the action potential (AP). The origin of individual signals, the measuring method and the possibilities of noise elimination are dealt with in the theoretical part of the thesis. The practical part describes the pre-processing block securing the noise elimination during the AP. It uses accumulative methods of averaging the corresponding time periods of the AP. Based on the results of measuring the signal to noise ratio, the thesis suggests the most appropriate accumulative methods and their variables. In order for the chosen accumulative methods to work well, it is important to divide the AP process into sectors of corresponding shape (repeats). The connection between the EG and AP processes is used to determine the beginning and end of the sectors. These points are identified by the detection of R and T wave peaks in the EG. To detect the R and T waves, the thesis uses methods based on wavelet transform. The efficiency and accuracy of detection methods is verified by test EG signals with hand-marked R and T wave peaks.

Knihovna pro tvorbu uživatelského rozhraní
Hrubiš, Cyril ; Zajíček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pop, Tomáš (referee)
This work is dedicated to theoretical discussion and implementation of user interface library for Linux targeted primarily to small devices. The library is implemented for Linux operating system using the C programming language and is divided into an interface for writing applications and backend which is the part that renders the user interface. Applications and backend are running as separate processes and communicate over sockets, moreover there is a multiplexer inbetween which both isolates applications from backend and allows for multiple backends to be connected at the same time. Backend is designed for small devices such as PDAs or tablets.
