Utilisation of waste heat potential in the flue gas
Palyza, Vojtěch ; Tomáš,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to propose a conceptual design of flue gas condenser and its application into a heating plant. The theoretical part contains of necessary knowledge important for understanding the issues raised in the thesis. The conclusion of this thesis is comparison of different types of flue gas condensers, low temperature economizer and absorption heat pump followed by economic evaluation using this technology in the heating plant.
Operational and Economical Assessment of New Turbine Installation
Čech, Jan ; Hejda, Lukáš (referee) ; Luňáček, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the operational and economic assessment of the installation of new TG3 turbines in the Přerov Heating Plant. The beginning of this thesis deals with a brief theoretical introduction of this investment and describes the classical economic evaluation methods and the Monte Carlo method. Subsequently, the investment project was analyzed and inputs for the economic model were created. The economic model was then evaluated using classical methods and Monte Carlo methods, the results are then compared with each other. Based on the results of the economic evaluation, the most efficient variant of the Přerov Heating Plant technology was chosen.
Heat exchangers, influence of cycle efficiency
Khůlová, Jitka ; Štěpánová, Lenka (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with district heat exchangers in a thermal steam cycle of combined heat and power plants and with types of condensate cascades in the multilevel heating systems. Calculation of the thermal efficiency of electricity generation is provided for the investigated thermal cycle, which was modified for three different types of cascades. Besides that, a comparison of useful electric power and electricity generation through one year period of working is made. A significant part of the work is devoted to the design of district heat exchangers, including the calculation of thermal power and heat transfer area. Main dimensions are proposed for each exchanger together with a basic drawing.
Type design and flowchart of a steam turbine for a specific location
Kalina, Leoš ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis is deals with type designing and implementing the steam turbine to the machine part of heat plant in reconstruction. The thesis consists of two parts. First part is theoretical explanation of the heating industry, steam turbines, thermal cycles and components of thermal power plants. Second part of the thesis describes the design and calculation of thermal diagrams based on turbine parameters, which were provided from Tenza, a.s. tender. There is a simplified calculation of technical-economic study in the conclusion of the thesis. The thesis output is recommendation of single final implementation solution for customer.
Source for heat production in the Czech Republic
Macek, Robin ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with sources for heat production in the Czech Republic. The first part is a research part and is about used heating technology in our country. The second part is again research part and describes individually in more detail parts of the heat sources, as boils, turbines, heat exchangers a heat distribution. The next chapter compares advantages and disadvantages of central heat supply and local source of heat, first theoretically and then practically. The last part balances production of the heat and electricity from the point of view of the fuel used and the amount of production over the past 15 years.
Source for heat production in the Czech Republic
Bártová, Jana ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal recources in the Czech Republic. The first part of the work is about the division and description of heating plants used for the production of thermal and electric energy. The second part of the thesis describes the advantages and disadvantages of district heating and individual heating. The last part of my work contains statistical processing of heat sources located in the Czech Republic.
Utilization of Waste Heat from Heating Plant Spitalka
Hromádka, Martin ; Morávek, Jan (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with utilization of waste heat from heating plant Spitalka. The aim of the thesis is to explain the general principle of the operation of the heating plants, respectively the heating circuit, then to describe the operation of heating plant Spitalka and to try to identify possible sources of waste heat. Other goals are to make the calculation of waste heat and to make the proposal for its utilization. The final aim of the thesis was to design technological device for utilization of waste heat and to carry out economic evaluation. The master’s thesis describes the principle of functioning of the heating circuit. It explains the issue of combined heat and power production, the principle of functioning of the main technological elements, but also the ecology of operation or distribution of heat through the district heating. Then there is a description of the heating plant Spitalka. The thesis also deals with the water treatment and the description of the technological circuit from the beginning to the distribution to the customer. Next, the waste heat source is identified as water in a closed cooling circuit. The amount of this heat energy is calculated and suggestions for its possible utilization are made. As an application, there are selected two systems, heating and domestic hot water heating. The heating is made by heat pump. Based on the calculations, a heating system using two heat pumps in a bivalent way of connection was designed. In conclusion, the results of the design of the heating system are summarized and an economic evaluation is carried out.
The compact city - rehabilitation of the urban area surrounding the historic center of Brno
Floriánová, Jitka ; Ležatka,, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
Thesis is concerning urbanistic treatment of a chosen part of Zábrdovice, a catastral disctrict in the city of Brno. Analyses problems of the area, searches for causes and solutions of problems regarding living there or going through the area. Offers a possible solution to make the area passable for pedestrians, car and cyclists, and to improve its continuity to the center of Brno and make it more attractive.
Electric boiler connection in heat plant for providing ancillary services
Ditrych, Marek ; Příhoda, Martin (referee) ; Wasserbauer, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with using the electric boiler for extension ancillary services in heating plant. The system and support services are described in the thesis, because the ancillary services regulate an energy deflection. The system and ancillary services are described in the thesis. Thanks to these services an energy deflection is regulated. The thesis describes different types of electric boilers and there functions. In the thesis is shown the possible solution of using an electric boiler in heating plant Opatovice. The cable conduction is designed for a power of electric boiler. For this reason, there is calculated the equivalent warming short-circuit current close to the electric boiler.
Network flow models for waste management
Janošťák, František ; Mrázková, Eva (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the construction of new waste-to-energy plants in a territory where is already another fossil-fuel power station in operation. The aim is to create a mathematical model and prove that those two devices are able to cooperate effectively using same technology. Exactly assembled model under real operating have characteristics of a mixed integer nonlinear programming. The optimization software GAMS is used for its calculation. The complexity of the model, however, is at a level that solutions in bad initial conditions ends in local optima, or not found at all. This thesis is devoted to the elimination of non-linearity using binary variables and heuristic so the task was solved with acceptable time limits to guarantee an optimal solution.
